We really like the food and the friendly service. Every time we go to another place we are disappointed. We know that we get the best food for our money here. The staff are very good to you and the cool even will check up on his food to ensure we are happy. We go there at least once a month for the last 3 yrs.

Are you a close minded racist, who enjoys making fun of anything and anyone who isn’t a white Christian, if so this place is for you.

This review is for the bar alone, haven’t had food but you are in the middle of BFE … so if you order anything besides a cheeseburger and fries you need to check yourself at the door. Anyway, back to the bar. Allie the bartender is amazing. Sweet, personable and makes a mean drink. Country bar with mostly locals, cheap drinks and a good time… If you want to have one.

After giving this restaurant a couple more tries, I thought I’d give an update. We tried this place again in 2013 and didn’t return that year either. So, now it’s 2014 and we tried it again. They still haven’t learned the serving order. Food was very slow coming and when we arrived we were the only ones there until another couple came in but they were served their food ahead of us. You also can’t serve one person at the table and make the other one wait for their food. Food is only so-so. I have increased the one star to two but only because they probably don’t deserve a one star even though we won’t be back this year either. We’ll go around the corner to Nick’s instead.

We unfortunately stopped at this place. Literally waited an hour for our food. The food was disgusting. Our waitress was very slow. I heard another customer ask what the hold up was on the food. The waitress said, «it’s taking a long time because it’s Easter weekend and we’re slammed!» Keep in mind there are 8 or so tables, that’s it. Will never consider going back.

We have been here several times over the past 10 months. Each time the food is fantastic as are the employees. We are not locals, but do not feel like outsiders. The employees and local regulars are very warm and inviting. Special shout out to Lawry! He is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. He also makes a mean burger! We have eaten several items off the menu in the past 10 months. We keep coming back because we crave the home-comfort deliciousness and we enjoy seeing the staff. To the owner: You have a great staff that keeps us coming back and staying waaaay long! Updated 8÷5÷14: Owner could not hold on to the staff that made this place good. We no longer frequent as things have gone downhill. Sad.

I ate their twice over the Territorial Days weekend and the food was not bad at all. The first night was Prime Rib and because I was recommended to split it because of the size, I did ask and they put everything on two plates. It was GREAT! The service was pretty good. The next day I went with a group of 6 and they didn’t seem to know how to handle splitting the check so they gave each couple(which is how we asked for it to be broken up) different checks. The problem with that was that food was going to come at different times. That is what happened. I deliberately asked to order last so that our food would come last, but somehow our food came first and the person who ordered a salad got hers last. I’m sure this part could have been handled better. The food, I didn’t hear any complaints from anyone so that part was not a problem. Other than waiting, the visit was not too bad. After dinner, I went to the bar next door(Timbers) and they were pretty nice. The bartenders were personable and even attempted to make a drink that they hadn’t heard of before(it came out great). They even had an outdoor patio. With the gorgeous day that we were having, that was a good ending to our visit.

How did I know I would be the first to review this place??? Hah! Well, here it goes. This is one of those roadside cafes you see while you are driving back from hiking when pretty much anything looks drool worthy and that was the case here. Note #1 — this place is NOT vegetarian friendly but I will also review non-veggie food via my dinner-mates who had the honey kissed fried chicken and the ribs. Yes, they really ordered these items at some crazy little restaurant. They are MUCH gutsier with their stomachs than I. I had the french fries and an ice cream sundae. Don’t give me crap, I had just hiked 6.5 miles. I flipping EARNED those fat grams!(and frankly my «dinner» was the best at the table). The fries won«best item on the table» hands down. They really were good. Nice thick cut fries with skins still on. Very homemade and with a dash of salt? Mmmmmm… The chicken really was apparently«honey-kissed» and not in a gross way. Chicken earned 3 stars according to my friend. Ribs were apparently 3.5 stars and looked okay. He had to saw them apart. The cream of turkey soup which was homemade was pretty solid too although it very closely resembled the country gravy gracing the mashed potatoes that was apparently really yucky. The potatoes were deemed to be instant so stick to the fries or coleslaw as your accompaniment. They use Hersheys syrup on their sundaes. Yes, I actually asked this. I opted for the caramel which was just lovely. Oh yes, they do .50 cent taco Mondays, Ribs on Tuesdays and the adjoining bar: Timbers Saloon, has Bingo at 7:00 pm on Tuesdays. And the people watching is absolutely fantastic. I would go again.
