I ordered the milk and honey cold brew. It was ok. Nothing great.

Came in about 1:00 and ordered quite possibly the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. There were two young ladies and a man named Tymere working, I didn’t get the ladies names but they were all class acts. All were courteous and the place was completely SPOTLESS! We had a little lighthearted political conversation(that I started). Maybe I was expecting a ton of left-wing rhetoric from the hipsters that I would probably get at a Starbucks which even has a well known anti second amendment policy(fascist company). Apparently Saxbys is a bit more centered(just a vibe) and you can tell the IQ of these ladies/gentleman was at least 20 points higher(really), it must be some sort of corporate culture thing, I really admire their hiring ability, but I digress. As a 39-year-old guy I don’t often get a chance to speak to college aged people so I seized the opportunity. Without getting political on this review; I will say all parties were courteous, willing to hear what each other had to say and love their country! Though very short It was without a doubt the most civil conversation I have ever had with people who *probably lean a bit more towards the left or maybe they were«moderates», I don’t know this for sure because they kept it VERYPROFESSIONAL . The ladies/gent very maturely cut it short because they knew they were representing the company, fine by me. Back to the important stuff, as I had said the place was completely spotless, well lit and the overall work ethic lead me to have no idea who the manager was. That’s important because generally at a place where younger people work you can absolutely tell the hierarchy. For example; a Starbucks would generally have a couple of «slackers», a couple of «moderate slackers» and an older«ex-slacker» as the manager. Here everybody was completely professional and seem to really care about the business. In fact I noticed that it was shift change and I didn’t get the vibe by any means that they were looking to rush out the door and leave things in the middle, you could tell they had pride in what they do. Saxby’s of Ambler, PA via Tymere and the ladies represent the company extremely well and I hope they get promoted if the opportunity presents itself. I look forward to doing business for a long time to come. Again the coffee was awesome!

Love the coffee and the location! We are hopeful they will get better and faster as the wait is a bit surprising and long, especially the drive thru. Great place to meet with friends, do some work or grab something on the way to Phila.

I went on here and was floored to see such a high rating. I genuinely don’t understand. I’ve attempted on countless occasions in hopes that the service will improve. The coffee is so delicious & a drive-thru is obviously ideal. Sadly, I’m still waiting for the service to pick up: –Lengthy drive-thru wait with zero cars in line, numerous accounts of 10+ minutes for just a coffee. Be ready to repeat your order at least 3 times.(This occurred countless times) Ordering different coffees, some w cream, some skim… Why do they all look identical? They shouldn’t. Say that out loud, and you will receive the most puzzled expression. Think it could be better inside? 4+ people behind the counter. Three attempts(yes, three) to make an iced coffee w cream. Complicated? The service seemed so flaky and lost. Today was the last straw. Although the service surely seemed like it picked up, coffee was wrong(again) and I received a $ 5+ dollars egg & cheese croissant that looked like it went through a meat tenderizer. A flat pancake with so much grease, it went in the trash. Sadly I’m giving up!

Went back again… 15 minutes for a bagel and cream cheese and a latte. The bagel came out 5 minutes before the latte. Saturday morning, it is empty. They need to either employ more people or train them better.

I have been to this Saxbys on two different occasions. I would very much reccomend it. The first, it was within their first week of opening. They obviously were having trouble but i dont blame them. A lot of the employees are young kids, and they were mobbed that day. They had a problem with the registers computer which wasnt their fault but was still fixed my second time. Even so, the coffee and food was great. The second time– recently — was better. They seemed to have changed their staff so that it is filled with people who try hard, care, and were friendly. I guess i could agree with another who have called some of them«amateurish» when they had JUST opened(they had been open for a week!) but now they are running smoothly. It has really improved and this will be my go-to spot in Ambler from now on! The Coffee is great, the specialty drinks are excellent(they were totally willing to make my drinks or food exactly as i ordered it.) the food might take a minute to make depending on the crowd at the time, but it is made to order fresh and is very tasty. It isn’t like the pre-made dunkin donuts.. It is more like a diner than a fast food joint although it was still done pretty fast. Overall this is a good spot. I commend Karen(their GM-very friendly person) for the quick improvements and hiring a staff from the Ambler community. Three final notes– 1. If you want food, go inside. It isn’t like McDonalds food which means it takes a minute. 2. The staff– to me, at least, did not seem at all«millenial-like». They were friendly, polite, and not selfish, as another reviewer said. I did not experience the drive through, but the girl that i saw working it was courteous, friendly, and very good at her job. 3. No doughnuts yet… but their muffins were delicious. l

I’ve been coming to this Saxby’s quite a bit since it opened this fall, and so far it’s been a pretty good experience. It’s one of my go-to coffee shops in Ambler, alongside Caffe Maida. I am not a coffee drinker but have found the hot chocolate to be quite tasty and not overly sweet. They also have a nice organic tea selection(tea bags). My husband, a coffee addict, has enjoyed his share of coffee drinks and hasn’t been disappointed. The sandwiches are also pretty good. My favorite thing about this location is the atmosphere and space — very warm, inviting, and large enough to not feel crowded even during peak hours. I often frequent cafes to work, and this place has ample table space, outlets, and speedy wifi. I agree with many other reviewers, though, that there are definitely flaws in this location: — Yes, parking can be difficult in the awkward lot, but there’s also street parking very close by — Service has been overall pleasant for me, but agreed that most of the staff is young and amateurish — Pastries are quite sweet, so I almost never order them. — I love chai lattes but I find theirs cloyingly sweet and undrinkable. Even Starbucks is better.

Too bad these new kids on the block are getting some tough reviews. Everyone’s a critic. I think the place is gorgeous and full of a zen vibe. Pastries are delicious(try the almond croisssant!) My chicken avocado sandwich was so good that I went back the next day for another. The barista told me that they make the food on site, including the guac on my sandwich! She said that while Saxbys has many cafes that this one is a franchise that is locally owned with local staff who can walk to work — how great is that? My Dark Chocolate Peppermint Mocha was dreamy!

We are so happy that a Saxbys opened on that corner in Ambler! I have been there twice. My coffee was perfect and the sandwiches were delicious. The staff was courteous and helpful and the ambience is lovely!

It pains me to write the following and I do it with no great pleasure. It is not worth it to patronize this Saxby’s location. For all the accompanying hassle, head to Café Maida in Ambler instead. On my last 2 visits to the drive thru at this Saxby’s, the order taker exhibited all the negative stereotypes of a Millennial: Self-absorbed, incapable of providing customer service, chill-as-hell…and error-prone. Both times the orders were wrong; he did not know how to use the cash register(what-what?!?), and I had to explain to him his till would short if he did not properly charge me.(Too honest on my part?!?). The last straw was this: On both occasions, one large soy latte was filled properly while the second was only filled to 40% of the cup. The incompetence and lack of situational awareness was barely bearable. Being cheated of my coffee was not. AMF, Saxby’s. Coffeehouse wannabes.

Gave it a try today and sad to say I will continue to go across the street to Dunkin Donuts. Service was very slow and prices are way too high. Save your money and walk across the street. Terrible parking and hard to get out of this center.

The building looks great, coffee is good. I know this is a new location, but the service left a lot to be desired. It was slow, aloof, and I didn’t feel really knowledged as a customer. I watched as other customers also looked annoyed by the lack of customer service. The service really made it feel more of a this is our first try at a coffee house rather than an established brand.

Clean, bright and beautifully simple in décor and appearance. Staff are friendly. Prices are comparable. Dark chocolate peppermint mocha is amazing. Huge selection of specialty drink flavors. Would come here again.

Great to have Saxby’s in Ambler. Will definitely support them. Been there twice now. Giving them 4 stars now but if they improve a few things, can become 5 stars. PROS. 1) Décor and ambience is great. They did a phenomenal job converting former subway and ambler donuts. 2) Great breakfast sandwiches and hot chocolate. I don’t drink coffee. 3) Caprese sandwich on cinnamon raisin bagel is to die for. CONS 1)(Not their fault) Getting in and out plus Parking is lousy at this location and has been the downfall to other businesses there. Saxby’s should try to get overflow parking next door. 2) If you advertise all day breakfast, you shouldn’t run out of eggs at 12:30pm on a Saturday. However, this helped me discover the caprese sandwich on bagel. I believe this will be fixed once they’re fully up and running. 3) Very flimsy chairs. Guess they dont want you sitting too long hogging up free wifi

I was feeling quite disappointed today with the lack of customer service that I experienced prior to coming here, but then the coffee and atmosphere cheered me right back up :) They make an awesome caramel macchiato. Cheers!

If you don’t know Saxbys, you need to stop in and get to know them. This is a great location, located in an easy and central place. I would recommend stopping in and grabbing a coffee or specialty drink(I highly recommend the British Islander) and maybe a sandwich. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the space is open, flows and is well light. Price-wise, it is no more expensive that other coffee shops. The only item to note is that the parking lot can be tight if full but don’t let that deter you from popping in.

The coffee is great — not as bitter as Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, but still plenty strong! Beautiful space. Drive through available!
