Wonderful new place as we drove through my old hometown. Baked goods out of this world, Debi and I had tha cherry pie.

My parents closer to the north wales location but the ambler location is open later so I went there. I loved the layout. The ambler spot is way nicer! I got a chocolate raspberry cupcake and it was the best cupcake I ever had. My friend loved the éclair. The prices are pretty standard too so no complaints.

I was so excited about this place, I thought it was exactly what Ambler needed. I went twice, both just getting a drink and a pastry. The service was absolutely terrible. I’m so dissapointed. I will not be returning.

Alice is a great addition to the Ambler area. I have been there twice for lunch — great tomato soup and a mouthwatering assortment of sandwiches. Their bread is to die for. And the sticky bun, served warm — yum! They always have an enticing assortment of baked goods, including breads, cakes, cupcakes, croissants, and fruit pastries(in which you can see delicious-lookinf pieces of identifiable fruit, not fruit jelly-looking stuff). i have also purchased some of their chocolate bark varieties to take home. Top it off with Philly favorite La Colombe coffee and you have a winner for a nice brunch/lunch or afternoon sandwich.

I get the coffee and focaccia … Both are on point! I can’t think of any better option in the area :)

Their bread is the best. Ever. For serious. Buy their bread. Lunch options are good. Sandwiches are better than their soups. My son & wife looks the sweets.

Great place in town for a nice lunch! The sandwiches are delicious. Staff is friendly. My only complaint is they stop serving lunch at 2:30.

Alice Bakery has the freshest and most flavor-filled bakery and treats you can find. It is the place to order all your Thanksgiving pies and bread as well. I love their gouda and prosciutto bread, key lime pie, pain au chocolat and crescents The new Ambler location is fantastic. There is seating inside and out. Free wi-fi. And, a great lunch menu.

Very buttery croissants. The chocolate and nutella croissants are good; but not enough filling. The croissant itself is delicious. Crispy and buttery. The sticky buns were good too. However, service was average, at best. Not the most welcoming staff.

Cute little bakery. We thought we would order at the counter and find our own table. Cashier didn’t inform us there’s table service. We were given one glass of water. Waitress brought our food and we asked for a glass of water. She said«another glass?» Yes, we’re not sharing one glass of water. Porcini mushroom soup was delicious but a little creamier would be better. Fajita chicken salad was overpriced $ 9.95. It had three little strips of broiled chicken on a bed of romaine lettuce, a few kidney beans, a few halved grape tomatoes, chopped green onions and tortilla chips, nothing special. Both soup and salad were served with three slices of baguette which were nice and chewy. Waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. Our water glasses were empty when we finally got our second glass of water.

PERFECTINEVERYWAY! I was always a fan and supported of the North Wales location and am thrilled to have the Ambler location which is much closer to my house. I feel like this establishment is on par with the finest patisseries in Paris, seriously! Dennis provides fresh, inventive, and tasty pastries and dishes. I feel lucky to have this restaurant so close to me in suburban philly!

I was first introduced to Alice Bakery through the Ambler Farmer’s Market. Each week we would stock up on Guinness Rye, Gorgonzola bread, croissants and their delicious sticky buns. Needless to say I was thrilled to find out that they were opening a location in Ambler. And even more excited when I found out they were taking over the Café Maida location.(A local«coffee shop» that specializes in making their clientele feel uncomfortable…) Maida relocated across the street to a smaller shop. A week ago I was working from home, over near the Forest & Main Brewery, and decide to walk down for some take-out. I always say that you can judge a place by the take-out they offer. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast.(Anyone who’s seen«Five Easy Pieces» knows why I smiled when I ordered it) It was delicious. Most chicken or tuna salads are usually swimming in mayo. This was fresh and light and the bread was incredible. This came with a bowl of tomato soup which was also quite flavorful and delicious. So today, Saturday, we woke up late and decided to skip breakfast and go right to lunch. My chicken salad sandwich was so good, I was tempted to let history repeat itself. I wound up fighting the temptation and after changing my mind about thirty times, I decided to order a B.L.A.T.(the A is for Avocado) and got another bowl of tomato soup. Without going into details, both were delicious. Finally to satisfy a sweet tooth craving we took a look at the cupcake counter. Dammit… More options! We opted on a Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake and a Key Lime cupcake(pictured) and immediately wanted about a dozen more. To summarize… YES. Go here. Order everything. Leave full and happy. Oh and they have La Colombe coffee which is amazing. And I had an iced Green Tea which was perfect on the hot humid day. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else. I was long time customer of the North Wales location before I moved to Ambler, so I was super happy when the Ambler location finally opened up. They did a really great job with the décor, lots of custom work including some beautiful natural wood pieces. I’m here almost every morning for a croissant and coffee. I’m never disappointed(which is why I keep coming back). Cheese/fruit danishes, crumb cake, and sticky buns are also really good and made with quality ingredients. Lunch is sandwiches, salads, soups, quiches. I’m a vegetarian so I appreciate that the tomato and mushroom soups are both vegetarian(and delicious) and the grilled cheese(mozzarella, spinach, tomato, with a bit of parmesan sprinkled on the bread which adds an extra tasty touch) is excellent. For the vegans, I’m pretty sure the veggie sandwich is vegan and has a really good chipotle hummus. I also have an unreasonable love for their balsamic dressing, I don’t know what makes it so good. The gouda bread is really delicious, great sliced for sandwiches(gouda bread, fried egg sandwiches are a great choice) or warmed up as a dinner accompaniment. I’m also a big fan of the sea salt rolls(good plain with butter or as a sandwich).

Only got coffee here, but was a little confusing if I could do so and still sit outside at one of the tables. We didn’t see a server for awhile so I just went in to order. Coffee is La Columbe so that was great but they used crushed ice for their iced coffee… not what I’m used to so it didn’t quite meet my personal preference. Would come back though because the baked goods and other menu items look and sound fantastic!

Great food! Go here for lunch, the sandwiches are the best! You get a ton of food for the price $ 9.95 average price but it comes with a bowl of soup or a salad. Quality of the fresh ingredients and the breads are high! Only disappointment is the seating, it is kind of set up weird, they could do a much better job making the tables fit, and after visiting twice, both times our table was real wobbly. I don’t like that. The guy who I think is the manager, is very friendly. But if you want an awesome sandwich or desserts like amazing cupcakes, go here!

After being unable to order lunch I returned to grab takeout for dinner. Dennis was working behind the counter and thanked me for coming back. I ordered two sandwiches and two cup cakes. Dennis gave me a chocolate croissant on the house as I was leaving. Everything was fantastic. The cupcakes were so moist and the frosting was decadent. I can see this location doing at least 2x the business they do in North Wales. Alice is a great addition to Ambler.
