My boyfriend and I got finished with our errands late and decided to go eat here. They were closing in an hour and still sat us with a smile on their faces. Our waitress, Kaysi, was phenomenal. She was prompt, cheerful, and very considerate of our satisfaction. She is a great example of customer service. This was our second time getting her as our waitress and she wowed us both times. Let’s just say she’s now the server we will probably request. There is always negative reviews on restaurants and not enough positive. Kaysi and Red Lob definitely deserved praise tonight though!

Great experience, better than usual thanks to our server Savanah. She sold me on the Scallops, they were good and the steak was great.

Red Lobster — 7:30pm — 10.10.15 My boyfriend’s birthday is tomorrow, so tonight his grandparents took us out to dinner at Red Lobster, which was SO sweet of them. We arrived right at 7:30 and though the(precious) hostess quoted a 10 – 15 minute wait, we were seated in less than 5. Our server took drink orders right away and she gave us about 10 minutes to look over the menu, then she came back and took our orders. The cheddar bay biscuits were hot and delicious as always! That was the best part of my meal. The grandparents ordered the Ultimate Feast, which they shared. I had the Crab Cakes appetizer as my meal(had a late lunch and I wasn’t too hungry) and Trav had the Fish & Chips. The dinner salads came out almost right away — I have to admit that their honey mustard dressing is quite good, I don’t normally enjoy honey mustard but this version had a kick. After the salads were served the service really lagged. I wasn’t in a hurry, but the grandparents were getting rather impatient. When the food DID come out, the food runner didn’t bring out the grandparents’ baked potato(he said they were baking fresh ones off and he would bring it right out) and the potato didn’t show up until we were all more than halfway finished eating. Trav’s fish was meh… The filet itself seemed almost waterlogged or something, it was strangely TOO juicy, to the point that the breading had lost most of its crispness. It tasted okay otherwise. The«chips» were bland and fairly standard. My crab cakes — first off, for the $ 13 price tag, I really expected the portion to be a bit more generous… I was served two cakes about the size of one of those frozen breakfast sausage patties which probably didn’t amount to more than 5oz total product. Secondly, I would assume for being a SEAFOOD establishment that their crab cakes should be outstanding. No. They were bland and the fishy flavor was much stronger than what I am used to, so I had to drown them in the aioli served alongside. And that brings me to the«Meyer Lemon Aioli». Sounds delicious, right? I’m not even sure if it was the correct condiment because it didn’t taste much like lemon at all, it was salty, creamy and heavy on the garlic — which I don’t mind, but that’s not how I had imagined a Meyer Lemon Aioli would taste. These crab cakes were by no means«bad» nor were they worth complaining over(especially since the grandparents were already giving the staff«feedback» about slow service) but I definitely won’t order them again. We don’t really eat at Red Lobster on our own, the grandparents typically pick it for when we have dinner with them… So I’m not sure if this was an off night or if I just don’t care for the food. Either way, Red Lobster won’t be on the top of my «go to» list any time soon.

I had the salmon, shrimp, lobster, green beans, and small yukon gold potatoes. It was great!

Red lobster is always smelling of seafood but the smell that was coming from this red lobster was terrible. Smelled like someone needed to wash their«bits». Worst smelling red lobster ever. Hostess wasn’t rude but wasn’t nice either. Like this was a dead end job. I left shortly after being added to list because the smell was to much.

So, I ended up stopping here to have a quick dinner after I trained. I ended up getting seated at the bar and decided that I would rather just take my meal back to the hotel and enjoy it there. I was checking out some of the comments on Unilocal, and I get a little nervous with some of the bad reviews that I read about this place. I don’t know if I was one of the lucky ones, or if maybe those other folks just had an off day with the staff. My meal took about 15 minutes and the bartender was very friendly and offered me a drink while I waited. He received the order and packed everything in the bag for me verifying all of my purchases and I was out the door. I ordered the seafood stuffed flounder and coconut fried shrimp and I have absolutely no complaints. The food was fresh, cooked to order and quite delicious.

This Red Lobster has yet to disappoint me. All the servers are friendly and courteous. The food is always well prepared. It’s nice that they cleaned it up and remodeled a bit.

Worst fish ever. Breading-peeled off, thank goodness. Stopped in on our way home to Kansas. Justin the waiter was about the best thing that one could say about this meal.

Did you know red lobster has biscuit bags that keep the biscuits fresh longer? I didn’t until we had Eric as a waiter. He was professional and friendly without being pushy or too fake. Hooked us up with extras to take home. Extra lemons, cocktail sauce and catsup at dinner. All in all good guy. 2 snaps up in a Z formation.

My husband and I had dinner here and we were very disappointed. The lobster bisque was horrible. The waitress told us it was a hit or miss item. The lobster tail was rubbery and the fried shrimp was overcooked. My husband ordered green beans as a side and they were cold. The manager spent a lot of time going to several tables apologizing for the food. It is not worth the money.

We always enjoy a trip or two to Red Lobster during endless shrimp season… as we’ve traveled the country we’ve had good and bad experiences with servers… here in Amarillo we met Matt… he was GREAT! He was one step ahead of us all night, shrimp kept coming, he brought us different kinds of shrimp to try, anticipated all of our needs, and was comfortable doing the same for his entire section. Next time we go back, I’d call ahead, make sure he’s working, and then wait as long as we needed to, to sit in his section. Thanks for the great service! We’ll be back again before endless shrimp ends!

It’s been at least two years since I stepped foot in a Red Lobster. Went today with my wife and two friends. We were seated quickly and waited on quickly too. The waiter was very nice and did an excellent job. Food was excellent. The wife and I got the bottomless shrimp and a tilapia plate with key lime pie after. Spent about $ 50 including a generous tip. Will definitely be going back.

When we arrived, there were about 15 people waiting. We were told it would be a 35 minute wait. 45 minutes later, we were seated in an area with 4 empty tables. I don’t understand why the long wait with so many empties. Our waiter(Justin) was good. The biscuits were terrific. The cocktails were decent. Seafood was mediocre. Overall a poor experience.

Let’s face it… seafood options are limited in Amarillo. Which is unfortunate because I LOVE seafood. People can knock big chain restaurants all they want, but RL is good. The cheddar bay biscuits and the caesar salad are great. Lobster pizza and the Seafood bruschetta are both great apps to start with(or even have for your main dish). Most everything else is tasty, too. I LOVE the peach bourbon BBQ shrimp.

The only reason I even gave this place one star is because I had too! It was awful. My husband couldn’t even cut his tilapia! It was terribly overcooked! The were out of every vegetable they had. The waiter was also terrible we had to ask him three times for silverware. The only decent thing was the biscuits which anyone can google the recipe for. Don’t waste your money!

I knew that the restaurant had remodeled, so we thought we’d give a try after several years of not eating there. We went in at 9p, and they close at 11p. We were seated immediately and placed a drink order. So far so good. Then we ordered from a perky waiter who seemed to know his stuff. Caesar salads came out undressed. I asked the waiter to bring some on the side, and after five minutes with one promise of «one more minute» he came and told us they were out of dressing. He brought us garden salads that were pathetic. The blew cheese tasted like mayo. The clam chowder was salty and too thick, like old gravy. Cheddar biscuits, however, we’re as good as in the past. Probably frozen. The entrees took forever to come out. There was LOTS of yelling going on in the kitchen. During our wait, the wait and bus staff were cleaning dirty tables that had been empty for some time, and walking by with trash sacks and all the booster seats after wiping down. Our waiter popped by and told us it was a busy time of night and the food would be «one more minute,» When the food eventually arrived, my shrimp and scallop pasta was so salty I boxed it up after a few bites to take home for my cat. I wasn’t going to wait another 30 mins. My husband was still eating his entrée when the desserts came out. The check was then brought by before he even took a bite. As soon as we declined more drinks, I felt rushed out. Poor food, mediocre service, and slow kitchen — we won’t be back. I can make my own cheddar bay biscuits.

I love their clam chowder, cheddar biscuits and coconut shrimp. I would probably not go if Amarillo had good seafood. But, they don’t so this is a little piece of home. The salad is gross though. It always comes with your meal and the new white bowl is deceptive. I was hoping for a revamped salad, but no such luck. It was the same brown ice berg lettuce. I think I will get a bowl of clam chowder and the biscuits next time. They are yummy.

I don’t know if it’s just this particular branch of the chain or if the whole thing has gone downhill, but please skip this one. We’ve been twice in the past couple years & both times the ONLY saving grace was the cheesey biscuts.

Only reason we ate here was that it was next door to the motel that we were staying. Considering it was a Saturday night, a 25 minute wait was to be expected. After being seated, we ordered. I ordered the fresh trout. Something inside of me, told me that it would be over cooked. I was correct, sent it back, only to have the second on cooked beyond the first one. They asked me if I wanted to try a 3rd time, of course I said NO. My dinner was ruined by that point. How can someone over cook the same thing twice.

Yes, I know — I’m reviewing a chain restaurant. And an OLD chain restaurant at that! This is Amarillo, though, and there’s not a whole lot of seafood to be found here. Red Lobster is probably one of 3 restaurants that specializes in seafood. Came here for a friend’s birthday. No, we didn’t come here because we loved Red Lobster, we came because when he was a little kid his parents used to take him there for his birthday. So we thought it’d be nice to re-ignite the tradition. After dinner, I started thinking maybe we should start a new tradition at a better restaurant. I honestly hadn’t eaten at Red Lobster since I was like, 13 years old — more than a decade ago. I remember having fond memories. The cheddar biscuits, the many variations on shrimp, the colorful sea shanty décor — Red Lobster was pretty awesome when I was a kid. Nothing’s changed at Red Lobster since then, but I sure have changed. The cheddar biscuits were still good and probably the highlight of our evening. We just kept plowing through these biscuits and had to get refill after refill. For an appetizer, we started with the«Lobster Pizza»($ 9), which is a thin-crust pizza topped with lobster meat, mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. To be honest, I didn’t taste ANY lobster. I think I saw some, but it could’ve been anything since it didn’t taste like anything. Too bad you can’t order this pizza without the lobster and pay half of the price. For my entrée, I got the«Ultimate Feast»($ 23) — a Maine lobster tail, snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and some fried shrimp. It sounded good when I ordered it, but once I actually saw it, I started to think I was getting ripped off. First of all, the lobster tail was TINY. After cooked, the actual meat was probably about 2oz. No joke. The crab legs were of the pre-cooked variety and were reheated so the brine they were shipped in was the pre-dominant flavor. Shrimp scampi is pointless without pasta. How do you eat this? And the fried shrimp. was. well, fried shrimp. You could buy these at any supermarket and deep fry them yourself. It can be pretty eye-opening when you revisit a place you used to love as a kid. Have I become a huge food snob? Or are my taste buds just all«grown up» now? Pros: kids will love it Cons: food is all of the previously frozen variety, small on flavor big on price
