Palace Coffee

Palace is a favorite of mine! I absolutely love the ambience and their training shows through their skills and descriptions of drinks. They do a wonderful job and I am always impressed by the service and quality.

Finally! I’ve been wanting to try Palace for so long — long before moving to Denver — and finally did so on a recent visit back.
Hip hip hooray for a vibe and décor that’s an escape from the usual. They definitely have the modern & hip coffee vibe down pat.
I just had a drip, but I was bummed that it wasn’t a pour over. Did I miss that on the menu per chance? Le sigh. Note: Evocation has pour overs and they’re amazing.
All in all my coffee was solid, barista was friendly and it hit the spot. I’ll certainly be back the next time I’m in town

I’m super picky about foam… and Palace Coffee makes excellent foam. I only purchased take-​out, but it appeared that there were many spots in the restaurant to plug in a device (or ten) and the seating seemed comfortable. The barista’s are helpful, polite, accommodating (I was taking coffee to a family member in the hospital, and the barista’s put saran wrap on the coffee to keep out all possible germs), and skilled! An unexpected find in Amarillo!!!

This was my first time at PCC and I liked it although I thought it to be a little pricey to be honest.
The staff was great with recommendations and I got the lavender latte. The coffee is fresh ground and adds so much to the flavor of the drink. It is unique and wonderful for a local coffee shop. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed.
Atmosphere was unique and modern. Definitely a place I would visit again. If you go often, I would recommend purchasing a tumbler since you receive a discount on your coffee order. Not sure if they have a rewards program but would be great if they did.

This place is pure magic, I’ve never met more interesting baristas either. They literally are so enthusiastic about brewing/​crafting you the perfect cup! They also talk you through the tasting of their espresso offerings like a sommelier. Anyways, I haven’t had their house roasted coffee because they were brewing Cat and Cloud Honduran espresso when I stopped by but the place exudes sophisticated hipster with a punk underbelly! Needless to say it is fantastic place to connect and get your caffeine fix in Amarillo, Texas!

I love this coffee shop! Their coffee is strong yet not too bitter. Just the right amount of boldness. Their iced lattes actually taste like coffee not like artificial sweeteners you get from most iced coffees.

Original and amazing tasting coffee, would come here any day. The lounge is a bit hard to sit down for long, not so comfortable. I wonder if that was on purpose.

I love palace… I wish they would be opened later in Amarillo but there still awesome I jus can’t stay away

Great coffee, extraordinary customer service, and a fresh atmosphere. I had a mug given to me for Christmas that ended up leaking, Palace let me exchange it for a bigger (more expensive) tumbler for no cost and gave me a free drink. They also offer classes to further your coffee knowledge.

If you’re ever in the downtown area of Amarillo, Texas or possibly nearby I would strongly suggest visiting Palace Coffee Company. They supply not only a delicious cup of coffee but a warm atmosphere thats inviting to all. The sleek modern appearance bodes well for the downtown area. There’s also a little slice of heaven if you happen to glance over and check out the pastry case, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to die for… pumpkin bread to write home… about and of course the savory pigs in a blanket or as we commonly referred to them as a kolache.
Being a club member I feel like it’s my duty to put Palace Coffee Company in the right frame of mind and the right light… they’re simply amazing. The staff is very well educated in the «bean» and its many flavors that can be extracted in many different and unique ways.
So many ways I can say thank you to all the staff, I love the warm smiles, friendly hellos, to getting
to know them as friends and it’s a pleasure always visiting PCC.

Today I ordered the seasonal maple pumpkin latte and it was perfect. I also ordered a coffee black and it was delicious.

Baristas pleasant but unwilling to make a Cappuccino for me, as I asked for it to be dry, a reasonable request that by no means is uncommon.
The espresso was alright, and the overall decorum was simple.
Low rating due to inflexability of staff.

I asked for an Iced Caramel Macchiato and was told they do an iced latte. Ok, fine. Slightly annoyed, but I needed coffee. When my drink was ready, it was just sat on the counter. Never was my attention called or my/​the order called to my attention. The only way I ended up seeing my ready beverage was because I just happened to get up and throw something away right by the ready counter. I had to ask if the order was mine. If I hadn’t gotten up to throw something away, who knows how long I would have waited for my order. The female barista was more concerned with texting and chatting with the fellow male hipster wanna be barista. I won’t be returning due to poor customer service and crappy drinks that are over priced.

Great atmosphere! Lovely staff, these 2 ladies were very positive and friendly. I stopped here passing through so I’m new but they seemed to have a good relationship with their customers. The coffee is amazing! I got a cortado, it was very warm and rich with flavor. You must stop here.

Good cup of coffee and a knowledgeable barista, definitely a surprise find for me. They have a ton of room and lots of power outlets if you plan to stay a while.

This is a great friendly coffee shop. They know what they are doing when it comes to espresso and truly care about there craft. If you like great coffee stop in and check them out. No question that it is worth getting of the highway and away from the chains.

For a smaller city, Atown has some pretty good coffee. The location is perfect, downtown’s main strip and not too far off the highway.
The store is a nice comfortable size with plenty of seating. There’s even bar seating by the window, perfect for people watching during the work week.
I ordered a cold brew. It’s the perfect drink if you’re wanting coffee on a hot day. I would recommend adding a shot of vanilla. My wife had a vanilla latte and she said it was one of the best one she’s had.

Tis a great addition to Amarillo… it was a blessed day when this opened in th neighborhood… the owner is a great guy… his goal is to give back to th community and only has their good in mind… it has more of a modern atmosphere than the canyon palace but I totaly approve… and the coffee and espresso quality is still as perfect as the other also…

No wonder they won Best coffee in 2013 – 2014. It’s really really good and consistent. Has a Seattle feel. Great environment. Makes Starbucks look and taste like a McDonald’s equivalent.
Please go! You will be impressed, unless you love watered down Folgers from Walmart or horrible Hotel coffee.

I love espresso and theirs is excellent. It was my first time here and it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive and the establishment was clean. It is obviously a laid back atmosphere being a coffee shop and all, but it really didn’t have the pretentiousness of others I have been to, including the Palace Coffee in Canyon. I will definitely be back.

It’s an average coffee shop. It’s cool that it is local but the coffee is just you basic stuff, very small selection of drinks.
If your a hipster your gonna love it.

I usually get a vanilla latte, but you cannot go wrong when venturing out and trying new things!
If you don’t know what to get just ask the staff, they are very helpful and knowledgeable!
Very nice place to study, read, or have a quick business meeting!

Palace Coffee is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Amarillo. Having lived in Dallas and Austin, I’m used to having so many unique hipster coffee shops around me. I’m happy to say I get the same vibe here! Very open and inviting, a touch of hipster, but also refined. I also love their music selection as they play mostly indie and alternative music – my go-​to study music.
Everything I’ve ever ordered is fantastic. Aromatic and flavorful coffee products. I love their cappuccinos as well as their chai lattes. As a plus, they give your hot beverage with milk a little love with coffee art. They used to have these AMAZING spicy Mexican chocolate cookies, but they stopped selling them which is a bummer.
And of course I have to commend them on their service! Always friendly staff who come by periodically to check on you or take your dishes away.

I love this place! I recently moved to Amarillo and have been stoked to check out it’s hidden gems. I have been a barista for 5+ years so I would say that I am more particular than most. I was thoroughly impressed with this place.
I ordered a cortado from a sweet lady named Katie. Her husband (I can’t remember his name), made it for me and did an amazing job! It was slightly sweet, the right amount of creamy and left me sipping happily for a while. He initiated conversation with me while I was waiting, sharing his expertise on the drink and why they serve club soda on the side with some of their beverages.
Later, as I was leaving, the owner of Palace came in. I went up to drop off my dirty dishes and he also conversed with me. I am always impressed when baristas go out of their way to get to know you, making you feel like you have been coming there for years!
What’s funny is that I messaged Palace MONTHS ago about employment before moving to Amarillo. I decided to stay at my current job, but the owner somehow remembered that an Oklahoman had emailed them and asked if it was me. I was amazed simply that he remembered!
The parking was also a breeze. There is a small lot on the side that I was unsure of at first. I do not think it’s for employees only. There were quite a few cars parked in there with a palace sticker and my car was safe there parked for two hours.
I really appreciate and love coffee shops that aren’t slamming busy. It gives them time to connect more with their customers and truly deliver the hand crafted coffee experience. There’s a reason this place maintained five stars, stop at Palace and experience the real deal.

Delicious coffee. Great staff. Reminds me a lot of Chicago. Even though I’m more of a Starbucks person… I’m definitely leaning more towards the PC. One negative… They no longer serve the falafel wrap! =(

At it’s best a coffee place offers perfect coffee, a comfortable environment, and light yummy food. Well, Palace nailed the coffee, has a great minimalist style, and baked goods that I experienced was great.
My manual brewed coffee was bright in flavor and had a smooth finish. The Cortado, espresso drink, was incredible. It was a perfectly balanced drink of rich espresso and milk. Nice work.
I really enjoyed place. I hope to come back soon.

Upon entering this place you are in Amarillo however once you step into this place you feel as if you are taken to a different place. I came here for lunch with a friend and ordered the Hazelnut Chai (see photo) & it was delicious. The ambiance is great for a quick lunch get together or study session depending on your age group. The employees are dressed proper and very knowledgable.
