Hoagies Deli

This is my new favorite. I’ve had several of the salads and they are fabulous and reasonably priced. The Santa Fe Chicken salad is the best. The service is prompt and friendly and the food is made with quality ingredients! Love them.

Baked potato was great. Salad greens fresh and crisp. Cucumber salad had no flavor, tasted like it was dressed with tap water. Had the salad and half sandwich. Thousand island dressing was not good, half sandwich was really small, like a slider. Not worth the price.

Average hoagie place. Less for your money than firehouse. Was still good tho, it’s a regular stop for us because it’s next door to work

I love the food at Hoagie’s I’ve never had anything I didn’t like this review is due to the poor service. I’m once again trying to call in an order & this time they’re just not answering. Last time the teenagers working would answer the phone but then just put you on hold hoping after a few minutes you’d hang up. When I went & ordered I said I thought y’all were slammed since I tried placing my order at least three times & continued to be put on hold the adult working just shook her head & said these two. Not acceptable!

This tastes like food at a nursing home. My sandwich was awful, the chips were soggy, the broccoli cheese soup had no flavor.

The food was mediocre and overpriced. While we were eating, another customer got some dressing for her sandwich at the salad bar. The owner publicly humiliated her, and was loud enough that everyone in the restaurant could hear. This is not the way to treat a customer! We won’t be back.

Overrated and oversalted. It took about fifteen minutes to get my grilled chicken club (fairly reasonable, since I didn’t call in), but I won’t be going back.
The bread was fine; but so what? It’s bread. The sandwich had been doused in salt.
The side salad was certainly NOT based on what the menu claimed was romaine lettuce. No, what we have here is one of those situations where the soulless chain considers one romaine shred for every ten iceberg chunks enough to justify their laughable claim.
It’s a family-​friendly place, in that it’s loud enough that even the worst infantile screaming probably wouldn’t be noticed, so I guess if you’ve got loud kids there are worse options. (The families there were fine; I’m speaking hypothetically. My point is it’s noisy.)

I had the chicken Cesar salad today. It was the Best salad I’ve ever had anywhere!!! Kids loved their grilled cheese and husband enjoyed his blt. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!

This isn’t a bad place to eat, it’s not really good, either. Just okay.
There is absolutely nothing spectacular or that stands out at this place. To be fair, I’ve never tried any of the sandwiches because I can’t eat bread. I have had most of the potatoes and all of the salads. Everything seems to be prepackaged/​pre-​prepared foods, nothing made on-​site. (I could be wrong, but it’s basically lunch meats and pre-​shredded cheese on the potatoes and on the salads and the salads are obviously bagged salad.) As such, it tastes like what it is, pre-​packaged, processed foods.
It is probably the most «blah» place I’ve ever eaten.

Fucking amazing holly crap I ordered the grilled chicken club it was so freaking amazing It blew my mind. I also had the potato soup it was creamy and had big chunks of potato yum yum definitely a must.

I love this place. You never have to wait very long and the food is always delicious! I have never had a bad experience and I have eaten here so many times I can’t even begin to count. I am also very picky about food places and this place has never disappointed me. I also get the same thing, the philly cheese steak!

Delicious as always, the Philly steak is a must! Fast and friendly service, and a new salad bar.

I found the sandwich to be very tasty and proportionate to the price paid. The soup wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t bad. I’d eat here again given the opportunity. Be sure to get there before the lunch rush as the line can get almost to the door. At least on Mondays from my experience.

Nothing really special about this sandwich place. It’s a new location so it’s clean and nice to look at, but other than that, the food here is just OK.
I ordered the Beefeater sandwich ($ 7), which has Italian roast beef, sauteed onions and bell peppers, mayo, and melted provolone cheese all served on a French roll. It wasn’t that the sandwich was bad, it just wasn’t special in any way. The «Italian» roast beef tasted every bit like regular roast beef and they skimped on the onions and peppers. The sandwich was overall pretty dry — not to mention small.
There isn’t any waiter service. You basically order and then pick it up when they call your name. Expect to wait 5 minutes for a sandwich.
There aren’t a lot of sandwich places here in Amarillo and it’s for that reason that Hoagie’s is a good place to get one. The only alternative here that I prefer is Schlotzsky’s.
Pros: One of the few sandwich places here in town
Cons: ho-​hum food, sandwiches are too small for the price

I thought I remembered the sandwiches being much better at their old Georgia location… However, the new location looks good and is much cleaner and spiffier than the original. The food I have tried there is good, but not necessarily great: it’s somewhere in the ballpark of Baker Bros or Schlotzky’s, though I should probably mention that my girlfriend really likes the salads. I think this place will continue to get better as the staff really get into a groove.

A nice new location on Western looks great. Perhaps they were still working out the kinks when we visited, as the register was down, then our order was overlooked as others came in, got their food, and left. After bringing to their attention the fact that we had not been served (then sitting through them discussing whose fault it was), we finally got our order. Credit is due, however, as an owner came over and apologized. It was no big deal and he handled it well. The food was good and they have SWEET TEA! We will visit again.
