I’ve been coming here since I was 7. My sister and I used to walk from our house to have lunch. It has always had great food, if they get your order right. the customer service has definitely declined over the past few years. I’m not sure if it’s the employees fault, or if the restaurant is set up in a confusing way for them, but for every 4 times I go, at least once something is wrong with my order. I usually order lunch for my mother and I, 2 soups, 2 bagels, 2 cream cheeses… and somehow it’s still manages to get put in the bag wrong. For example, today I got 2 soups with bagels and cream cheese. they gave me one wrong soup, so I called when I got to my office. The manager told me they had run out of the one I had ordered hours ago, and the employee must have just«picked» that one for me(clam chowder.), with out asking or informing me they were out. the manager put my name on the board so next time I go they will cover my soup cost. Great. I will forever be on the Bagel Place refund board. I thought everything was fixed(although there was an unwanted soup that my mother graciously ate) but once I went to take a bite of my Everything bagel, with PLAIN cream cheese something was weird and sweet about it… ITWASFRENCHVANILLA. Apparently they hadn’t marked the container and mistook it for plain. Very sad that the quality of service has gone so bad. I guess just be sure to check your order BEFORE you leave.

I am impressed! This is a great place to please a crowd. I picked up lunch for 8 for one of my clients and had a complicated order-Vegan, pescatarian, Pastafarian(not really, but it just worked in that sentence) soups, salads and several different sandwiches. They prepared everything perfectly and helped me get the Vegan order just right. The staff were great and the managers were friendly to me and to everyone who came in. The food was great, It was prepared by people who actually cared about doing it right. Mine was delicious, fresh and satisfying — a BIG sandwich! Amarillo — support this great local business. Apparently many of you do. It was really busy.

Always reliable for breakfast or lunch. Whether you get w bagel and cream cheese or a west coast sandwich on a sundried tomato bagel– always good!

The Bagel Place always provides great food, quality food, and friendly service! We have been eating here for 20 years. Give them a try.

The bagels and sandwiches are alright, but the service is a joke. How many years has this place been in business? There were at least five people standing around behind the counter, none of whom wanted to be there. After rudely being ignored while waiting to order, 20 minutes later they gave our sandwiches to another table. Nice.

The food is great but the service is unpredictable. A lot of the time, employees are just standing around.

First off, I want to say that this place has terrible bagels. They’re yeasty, too dense, and not very flavorful. Their cream cheese tastes artificial, and has an oily-type feel. Secondly, I want to say that I really like this place anyway. They have other foods that are good– breakfast burritos, sausage wraps, sandwiches and sweets. And in a town like Amarillo where restaurants with character, charm and atmosphere are hard to find, this place has it. It does get a little smoky inside when it’s busy, but the place is quirky and fairly charming, and it has a nice covered seating area outside. It’s definitely worth a visit. Just try something other than the bagels.

I probably should have pre-ordered my large order of bagels. However they make them fresh and good daily and Zac was so helpful! He really help guide me with my order. He was outstanding and even suggested I got the bagels split in half for my customers and even cut the bagels himself and placed them in the car for me. As for the bagels they are delicious and my offices loved them. One suggestion would be for this place to place BP all over them so more people would know it came from this location. Also the homemade cream cheese was tasty and they definitely had so many flavors to pick from.

I love the bagel place! The bagels are always fresh & super yummy! They have tons of different flavors & cream cheese to match. The salads & sandwiches are also very tasty. They are fresh & large with plenty of toppings & meat. I do wish that you could specify the thickness of the lunch meat for the sandwiches. I like my meat cut pretty thin & they use a very thick slice so I normally get a salad instead. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots!

Awesome breakfast place in Amarillo. The bagels are huge and fresh, and they even had a butterscotch one that was awesome with eggs and ham. They didn’t seem to know what an iced coffee was, but iced lattes aren’t bad I guess. Definitely worth a stop. There’s a nice patio outside, too.

Not bagels, more of a round white bread with various flavors. Not terrible, but not great. Coffee selection is very good but condiments for coffee are lacking. Service ranges from fairly rude owner(? — mid/late 30s blonde), to nice younger guys that are obviously enjoying life, to young ladies that act very perplexed about why you are giving them your breakfast order. It’s an odd place… but ok if you want a cup of coffee or a club sandwich. I wouldn’t go in expecting much, but if you like cinnamon sugar toast try the Snicker-doodle«bagel».

Wtf. Coming from ny/nj I am probably biased. But I’m pretty sure this is the only bagel place in Amarillo and its horrible. It’s basically just circle shaped bread. And I wanted mine toasted with butter and they gave me this horrible sweet butter with sugar or something in it. That’s fine but when I asked for regular butter they made us pay for it and it was the same butter. I had like one bite and threw it out. Yuck never again I’d rather have no bagels than a disgusting one

Bagel Place is great for a quick breakfast or lunch! The service is pretty fast, the prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh and made to order. The breads are all delicious and soft, and veggies are crisp and cool. My favorite lunch is the West Coast Club. They have a convenient drive-up window if you’re in a hurry, and they also accept call-in orders.

Let me just tell you, I really LOVE coming here for bagels. I only can make it on Saturdays(they are closed on Sundays). They have plenty of choices to choose from however everytime, I come here I get some kind of bagel & some kind of fancy cream cheese. My favorite bagel is the Snickerdoodle & depending on my mood I pick my flavor of cream cheese. They do sell yummy looking desserts which I haven’t tried yet but they do look delicious. If you get a sandwich with something other than cream cheese they will use Boar’s Head Meat. Which is delicious! I don’t drink coffee but they have a variety of coffee flavors to chose from. The dining room is spacious and has 8 square tables &4 circular tables. They even have outside seating with a covering(Rumor has it that they allow dogs on the patio) This place is great place for breakfast/brunch & lunch. They even have a drive thru. For the customers dining in they have plenty of parking however for the rare fact that their parking space is full there is parking in the next business over. PROS — plenty of parking — lots of choices to choose from — great customer service CONS — ordering at the counter could be confusing

Saturday 12 noon — The Bagel Place offers big variety of bagels, sandwhiches, soup, salad and bakery eats. I ordered the white turkey(Boar meats) on whole grain wheat, with hot n spicy spread, lettuce, tomatoe and black olives. It was a very good bagel sandwich… came with chips and bottomless drinks. Similar to Eistein Bagels in SD but the Bagel Place is a «mom n pop» establishment with a hometown country feel. Large variety of self-serve soda and coffee too. I had«cowboy» coffee just like what the legendary cowboys drank in the«old west», expect to pay $ 10.

Cute little local spot, I will definitely be coming back here during my stay here. I came here with a bunch of friends for lunch today and it’s a great casual hangout spot. They offered a wide variety of bagels and cream cheeses, as well as, sandwiches, soups, and salads. I decided to try their West Coast Club on a toasted sun-dried tomato bagel. It was AMAZING. It biggest bagel I’ve ever seen stuffed with turkey meat, bacon, veggies, a generous amount of guacamole. Eating half was honestly enough for me, but it was so good I kept eating more. Simple, yet very satisfying. Service was friendly and the prices were affordable for the amount of food you get. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else.

Visited here on our most recent trip to Amarillo and will definitely be back. Went with the family and we all ordered a different kind of bagel and cream cheese. It was hard to choose because there were so many options. I ended up with a cinnamon somethingish bagel with pumpkin and honey almond spreads. Delicious! I sampled all of the other cream cheeses at the table and don’t think you could go wrong. They had a wonderful selection of coffees to wash it all down with along with many other drinks. Many around us were enjoying other breakfast offerings like the breakfast burrito(huge) and the egg skillet. These looked great. I am most excited to go back and try out the lunch menu though. Lots of soup and sandwich options. Service was good and people were friendly. It was packed and we had to wait a little but it was well worth it. Very affordable too. Can’t wait to go back.

Neat place! The food was pretty good and so was the service… however I didn’t like paying $ 11 for a croissant with chicken salad and a bag of chips. Aside from the high prices every thing was great!

This place is horrible, walked in at 11:01 to be rudely told that the grill was already turned off and breakfast sandwiches would no longer be made. What bagel shop stops serving breakfast?! Turn the grill back on! Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere.

I would live here if I lived in Amarillo. While Bagel Place looks like it’s located in an old Taco Bell, that is no indication of what’s inside. Inside is a wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch/snack spot that seems owner operated. The upside of being an old Taco Bell is they have a drive thru! I wondered in on a Friday morning on my way to the airport. I was overwhelmed with all the choices of bagels, spreads, bagel sandwiches, salads, baked goods etc. I decided on a bagel sandwich and the guy who seemed to be the owner operator took my order. I asked if they had egg whites and I got a friendly, «Sure, we can do that!» After I ordered, I found myself in front of a smörgåsbord of iced teas. I chose green acai. It was good. I sat down, and my bagel sandwich arrived. Delicious. Hit the spot. Some people next to me got salads that looked great too. A little while after I left, I found myself at the airport wishing I had got a muffin to go. Oh well, I’ll be back for sure.
