Had lunch with a couple of coworkers(their choice) and was wishing we’d gone anywhere else. The fish burrito was ok if not overpriced — 1 average sized fish burrito and 1 jarritos was $ 19 and some change. Yeah I’ll be sure to pass next time…

Fast food Mexican with adorable outdoor seating. Okay Mexican food. Order up at the counter and then grab a picnic out in the«backyard» until your number is called. Just a word of advice: the restaurant Shouldn’t serve cotija cheese in a burrito because it is just not as flavorful as jack or cheddar and it doesn’t melt. A big disappointment and definitely hurt the flavors. They also had no guacamole left at 830p on a Saturday. Are you kidding me? A Mexican place should be overflowing with guacamole. Especially since one of dishes came with avocados on the side! Just mash those up with some salsa and voila– more guacamole. Also when we were finishing up we noticed that someone else was walking towards the tables with an order of guacamole. Very frustrating.

South of the highway between Amagansett and East Hampton Village is a little hole in the wall place selling good Mexican Food. The food is good, no frills, straight forward meals.

Yummy authentic Mexican food in Montauk. I’m from Southern California and spent many Mexico surf trips eating tacos so I feel I can say that La Fondita was great. The horchata was great(I’m picky about that), the food was tasty and the outside eating area was so cute and fun. My kids ran around while I enjoyed my food. So good.

The worst shrimp tacos of my life. The shrimp were microscopic in size. Otherwise the food was pretty good. Great selection of free hot sauce. My wife’s tacos pescado were delicious. Although I would return, I won’t for a while because I can go to the blue parrot in East Hampton and get normal size shrimp

Casual roadside eatery with tasty Mexican fare. Wow that was really concise… I’m usually not so minimal with my words. Weird. But yea that’s what it was — sat at a picnic bench and are pretty good food. I had the chorizo torta while my wife enjoyed the chorizo burrito with avocado. Nice to sit outdoors and enjoy the food, which also included a more grassy area in the back. Tasty food, quick taqueria-level prep, and a pleasant lunchtime stop.

Great cheap authentic Mexican food in the Hamptons. The staff is so friendly and nice and the food is delicious. We usually go for the carnitas and fish tacos, although the al pastor special is amazing as well(even though its only available as a special). Being from Southern California(and spoiled by amazing Mexican food), I can say this is among the best and most authentic Mexican food I have had in the east coast. The guacamole is also great, as well as the agua fresca and horchata. And don’t forget a Mexican Wedding Cookie for dessert! Typically make a stop here at least once a weekend in the summer.

Hampton’s cheap eats — a rarity. Great if you have kids or want a quick bite. There are picnic tables out back and a nice relaxed setting. The place is packed — especially on weekends. Tortillas are homemade as there is a Mexican lady making them in front of you. I went this past weekend and the chorizo tacos were tastiest but the chicken and beef were bland. The highlight of La Fondita for us were the Mexican wedding cookies. They are absolutely delicious.

This spot is usually right on. Today however a Mexican place out of hot sauce is just sad. Although they say homeade tortillas on the menu, they are not! Very disappointing

Outdoor seating only… Great on a nice summer day but it was gloomy & drizzling when I went couple of weeks ago. The food was average. Carne asada taco was ok just a tad oily. Fish taco was much better but no where near Tacombi’s fish taco. The lady taking our orders seemed annoyed & impatient. It wasn’t crowded(about a handful of people) so don’t know what her deal was. The most annoying part… p.a. system was so loud no one understood what number was being called.

All I can think about is Jimmy Fallon when I think of this place. «Eww.» I felt like a bad mother feeding my son this bad tasting food. Next time I will try Mercado or Sabrosa.

I want to start off by saying there are a few things I really liked. The scenery and seating was great, and they even offered blankets for people who wanted to have a little picnic. The food on the other hand was a let down. First off, I got two shrimp burrito’s(not impressed by the size and the taste was bland), tortilla chips and guacamole(this was ok, I think their Guac is decent) and the total bill came to $ 49! I could have gone out to a nice restaurant for two on that bill. I’m feeling sick, from the price and unfortunately the food too…:(

Portions are small. Their horchata was good. Tortilla soup is salty. My friend had the burrito and that looked better than the fish taco and tostada I had. I was not impressed with their overpriced food. Perhaps because I had much better food at another establishment for the same rate. But hey, they are popular for a reason. The sitting area looks fun. It has picnic tables and is surrounded by bamboo. A series of colored squares lead the way to a porta-potty in a corner hidden by a fence.

Really good authentic Mexican food in a casual, fun atmosphere. Service was quick, and the food delicious. Not inexpensive, but hey, it’s the Hamptons! Outdoor picnic tables with umbrellas in a quiet garden setting complete with a bamboo forest, belies the fact that you’re right on Route 27. Would definitely go back.

WAY overpriced Mexican food, tiny portions, but delicious hot sauce options! I live in San Diego, where there is a crazy abundance of Mexican food that is half the price and several times better than the food here. We had a chicken burrito, chicken tacos, chips. The burrito was folded up into a chubby little square, which I found strange. I ate the entire thing and honestly could have had another. Positives are that they have a decent variety of really good hot sauce. Given the fact that there is basically no food competition around, this place would get my business again by default.

This place get zeros star!(But I have to put one in order to post my comment) It’s horrible!!! What kind of burrito has lettuce in it? Not a real Mexican burrito. They don’t have many options of meat and the shredded beef was disgusting it tasted all bloody I had to throw my burrito away! And the employee are so rude and grumpy I said to myself NEVER again will I come here!!! The only positive thing about this is the tamarin juice that’s it! It tasted great not too sweet it was perfect.

Just arrived after a long international flight from Italy ~ Had to have some Mexican food. We ordered chile rellenos, chicken tacos, la fondita salad, guacamole & chips, carnitas tacos and fish tacos. Black refried beans and Mexican rice. Shared the feast with a few friends. We are every morsel… After dining in Italy and eating pub food in Ireland ~ it was great to indulge in a fiesta for a change of pace. Great jet lag foods! Their Chipolte sauce & Habenaro sauce are homemade and delicious ~
