Did Corine’s Wine Blending At Sea and fell in love with her Rhone wines. 3000 miles away from her unique off the grid winery, but no problem — membership in the Wine Club keeps our wine chest well stocked. We do get to visit her at the winery about once per year when visiting relatives in the Sacramento area. Our favorite — Corine’s Syrah! SIMPLYBRILLIANT! If experiencing Wine Tree Farm isn’t on your list, your list is not complete!

We always enjoy our visits to Wine Tree Farm. Such a different experience being able to taste the different wines and see how they progress with the blending of the other varietals.

We live in the bay area and, on a whim, decided to try the wines of Amador County. This was the first winery we stumbled upon on our way from an adventure in the caves and our hotel. I’ll be honest here: as we drove up, I said«Oh, it doesn’t look like much. I don’t expect much». Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong. All of the wines were delicious. The owners were warm, very charming, and knowledgeable. The wine club is reasonable and it didn’t take much to convince us to become members. So far, I have had nothing but good experiences from this winery.

First off, the wines are all delicious. They are perfect medium bodies reds that are one of a kind in this area. I have not found any Syrah or Grenache that I like better anywhere in the world and the blends are also amazing. Corrine is very welcoming and really pulls the whole wine tasting experience together. I have been a club member since taking the wine blending class and always look forward to the semi-annual pickups. In addition, I reached out to Corrine last month to help me with a proposal plan by making me a custom wine bottle label that popped the question. She was more than willing to help and worked with me to get everything perfect. The blending class, which my now fiancé and I took over a year ago was fantastic, fun, and informative. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is a longtime wine lover or is just beginning to enjoy. If you want some amazing wines and to have good fun conversation definitely check this place out!

If you are in the Amador City/Sutter Creek area don’t missed Wine Tree. This small producer has excellent wines at reasonable prices. It is right across the street from the entrance to Amador City so don’t misdeeds it or pass it by. Corinne also does wonderful wine blending classes to get you more acquainted with the Rhone varietals she is dishing up and how they blend with one another. Definitely a great winery to visit.

Great wine! Was introduced to them at the Big Crush this year. Meeting the wine maker was a pleasure. One doesn’t always get the opportunity to enjoy unfiltered wines, and these are great. I hope to make it to their winery soon.

Wonderful wines. I loved the blends. My stop at this delightful winery made for a wonderful day. i have been a few times over the last few years and it is amazing to see the transformation. Corinne and Nick are both quite accomplished winemakers — and recently I heard that Corinne is teaching blending. Make the time and stop to try this wine.

I love this place, and the wine! We discovered it a couple of years ago just as they got started. It was rustic at first and it’s been fun to see the changes they’ve been making along the way. Corinne is a delight(and I love her accent, can you figure out where she’s from ?), and her wine is very good, some of it quite excellent. The wine names are cute(and informative), for instance MourSyrGre(Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache – percentages in that order). We especially loved the 2006 and 2008 Syrahs, can’t find those anymore – but, wow! Wine tree is across the street from the turn off to Amador City. Do yourself a favor, taste at Wine Tree, then pop down the hill to Amador City to Andrae’s Bakery – one of the best bakeries I’ve every visited. Every time we’re in Amador we lay in a supply of basque cake. I’ll bet Corinne can recommend a wine to complement the cake!

if you want to hear great stories about what it takes to follow a dream and open a vineyard, spend a little time at Wine Tree Farms. They have great wines(I especially liked the Syrah) and a very welcoming tasting room. Corinne, the owner, has built the winery by herself. She’s super knowledgeable and generous with her time. She’s an exceptional woman who is making exceptional wine. Wine Tree Farms is definitely worth the trip.

Wine Tree Farm is the only completely solar-powered winery in California. Not only that, they make some excellent wines. They feature red wine varietals made from grapes originally grown in the Rhone River valley of southern France: Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah, as well as blends from all three varietals. The wines are well made, nicely balanced, not over-tannin, and extremely reasonably priced, being in the $ 15-$ 25 price range. The tasting room is usually manned by the owner and winemaker herself, Corinne Moore, originally from South Africa, or by her son Nick. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and there’s no tasting fee. All the wines are made from grapes grown on the property, with the exception of an excellent port. Corinne also teaches a class on wine blending that is not only fun to go to, you get to blend and make your own bottle of wine that she bottles and corks for you, and you put your own label on it.

Corinne was a delight to speak with. Her knowlege of wines, their characteristics, and wine regions is extensive. It was both informative and enjoyable. We had so much fun blending our own wine. Corinne was very patient with us as we sampled, blended, and sampled again :-) To top it off she presented us with our own bottle of wine complete with label! We have spoken to our friends about this delightful winery and the ’ winemaker for a day experience’ :-D Corinne, once again thanks for a beautiful experience,

My wife and I have been visiting Corinne since she had her tasting room in the basement of an antique shop and have followed her every move, leading her to her own tasting room at her winery. Corinne has always been great to talk with and she is so willing to share her knowledge about her wines without talking down to you. She has a familiar and unpretentious manner that makes you feel like an old friend. I enjoy her varietals and especially love her blends. Syrgremour has been a favorite, though I’m moving to favor the Gresyrmour, lately. Wine Tree Farms is a must stop in Amador. Small winery, tasting room among the vineyard, the winemaker pours the samples AND is very knowledgeable. It can’t be beat!

I first tried Corrine’s wines when she had a small tasting bar, in the back of an Amador City kitchen shop. I enjoyed her Rhone blends very much. I have not yet been to her new winery and tasting room, but I am planning a trip to Amador County soon.

My three friends and I stopped into Wine Tree Farms on a whim in late August. We’re so glad that we did! The tasting is more of a leisurely conversation with Corrine, and presided over by her sweet dog who comes and goes from the tasting room. She explains each wine and generously pours as she answers personal questions about her journey into winemaking. There is no pressure to like one over another, and she pours additional tastes if you want to compare later in the interaction. I purchased my favorites and am bringing my husband along this weekend for the experience and to buy more for the holidays. Forget Napa! This nearby location offers so much more! Oh, lest I forget, the acronym of the location(WTF) is obviously not lost on Corrine, who has a basket of buttons with the winery’s initials on the tasting counter.

This is a lovely, small, family run winery. They make exceptional varietals and blends. She just released her port. Amazing! Our favorite is the Bypass Red. We go there at least once a month. It is a work in progress and she has almost completed the tasting room. She even has seating, which(if you have arthritis like me) is so nice. She also has two dogs and a cat that will make you feel right at home. The animals are very family/kid friendly. It is easier to enter if you are headed southbound on Hwy 49, just be on the lookout for it. Corinne has 8 different wines for you to taste, not including the port. You will enjoy each of them. Best of all, she doesn’t charge for wine tasting! Once you go you will be glad and want to come back!

This place is new, and definitely unfinished. If you want a polished exterior along the lines of Bella Piazza, etc., don’t stop here. Come to Wine Tree Farm if you want to sip some delicious wines in a casual atmosphere and support a great business just getting up and running. The vintner, Corinne, was welcoming of our large group(not all wineries are limo friendly, for obvious reasons). She presented us with several wines, I think six or seven, and told us their background as well as her story. She fell into winemaking after a stint at Michael David(her previous profession was in the Bay Area tech industry). Best of all, she is completely off the grid and totally solar-sufficient. Her son assisted and two sweet dogs kept us company while we picnicked outside. I especially loved her blends, the GreMour(Grenache/Mourvedre) and GreSyMour(Grenache/Syrah/Mourvedre). Taking a look at the prices(around $ 15 to $ 25 per bottle) I decided signing up for the wine club would not break my bank! What Wine Tree Farm may currently lack in picturesque exterior it makes up for with great wines and an unfussy, earthy atmosphere. I’ll be back and look forward to getting my wines in the mail!

I had never heard of this winery until I saw their sign at their driveway leading to the tasting room. The owner, Corinne, was pouring wine. She is wonderful! She’s fun, knowledgeable and very friendly. She makes red Rhone varietials and all are wonderful! They are very reasonably priced. The 2007 mourvedre is FANTASTIC!!! The winery is solar powered. She grows her own grapes at the winery. The case production is tiny, only 300 total cases per year. Excellent wines! Excellent stop, well worth your time.
