Luigi’s Italian Restaurant

Okay so when my brother first said he wanted to come here I was a bit skeptical because there wasn’t that many people there.
My dad always said that if a restaurant isn’t busy on a Friday night then the food is probably not that great. But he was definitely wrong this time.
The food was good! Every table gets some bread and seasoned olive oil (I think that’s what it was). The bread clearly just came out the oven because when we tore into it we could see the steam. It was so yummy!
I got the lasagna and it came with a salad. You could tell that the lasagna was made fresh because it was still boiling when they brought it to the table. There was a bit too much cheese but besides that it was delicious!
I only gave it four stars because the place was a bit old and felt a little dirty. It was probably because it was kinda hot in there.

Absolutely amazing! Not only was the delivery prompt and the driver Norman awesome and friendly but the food blew me away. The portions were sizable to say the least and the flavor of the food was some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Me entire family says the same of their meals and we all cleaned our plates! Wow, just WOW!

Just ate here after church, well actually I’m about finish this delicious chicken and seafood dish! Waitress was super nice and everyone loved their food. Much better than Olive Garden for Alvin IMHO.

I liked it. I had the pizza, all meat and mushrooms. The crust was soooo good. The service was right! I’m glad they are in Alvin.

Everything is tasty and I have never met such a polite waiter. I have to come back again, my recommendation is the pizza.

Seriously disappointed with this visit. I went to lunch with a group of 8. We had an hour and twenty minutes for lunch. Five of the eight actually got food. Three did not. I had the Chicken Marsala. The chicken was so over cooked you could barely cut it with a knife. It reminded me of the Griswolds Christmas turkey. I expected dust to come out. The service was worse thant the food. There were only 3 tables in the place and we still only saw the waitress twice in an hour and 20 minutes. We eat at the Angleton location all the time and have never had bad food or service. Clearly this store is not run like that one. A shame. One less place to eat in the food desert that is Alvin.

Love their pizza. Dine or carry out it has always been great. Have frequented regularly and never had a bad meal. Highly recommend

Decided to try this place while passing through Alvin on a Saturday afternoon and was pleased with everything. Despite it being lunchtime, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The service was good. Atmosphere is nice. They have a pretty big menu, with lots of different pizzas, pastas, seafood, etc. During the week there are good lunch specials. Portions were decent for the price, and you get bread with oil and a salad with it too. The food came out very good (and hot!). Would definitely come again.

Great food. went in the middle of the day. Clean tables and ready to provide service. Our first time at this restaurant. was very happy with the great food and the bread appetizer that they provide at the beginning. Would definitely recommend and I will be back

Have been going here for about two years and the pizza was very good. The past couple of months we have noticed new employees all the time and fewer customers. Today’s visit was disappointing. The pizza was not the same, we noticed the last time in they were making pizza different. From usual, garlic butter on the crust… but today there was no cheese. Literally no cheese. Used to pull the slices apart and the cheese would stretch and pull from the slices and we noticed it had a lot of grease. The texture of what little cheese was gritty, which made me think that imitation cheese is being used that would also explain the grease. I don’t mind having to pay more for a good product, because food costs go up, but don’t sell me a sub par product at full price. I haven’t seen the owner in quite awhile, and am wondering if in fact the business has been sold to people who know nothing about the quality of good pizza .Sad to say, we will not be going back.

I’m shocked to see such a low score as this is a fine little place. Prices are good, service is good, food is good. Family friendly, my kids beg to go here. I have my favorites but I’ve toured the menu and not been disappointed. It may not be 5 star dining but I wanted to help boost their score. I’d hate to see anyone drive past this place due to a poor Unilocal rating. Better than the big chain down the street in every way, and their sandwiches are about the same price as the chain across the parking lot. Stuffed mushrooms are delicious. Try it out.

These other reviews surprise me, I think the food is great, certainly better than the Italian chain restaurant down the street. We usually get pizza, but have had some of the entrees as well and it’s all been tasty. The place is very quiet, the staff is friendly and quiet, the food is good and we keep going back.

Too bad. We need a good restaurant in Alvin. Ordered a pepperoni pizza to go. They put a few pieces of pepperoni on it. Some pieces had pepperoni and others had none. No tomato sauce. Never go there again.

Took some coworkers here for lunch. I enjoyed the food. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The waitstaff was helpful and the food arrived quickly. Solid lunch stop.

I judge Italian restaurants by the quality of their eggplant dishes and Luigi’s has great eggplant. The salad and hot rolls are good, too. The staff is attentive and I’ve never had to wait for a refill or more bread. The prices are reasonable; you can get a hot lunch with a beverage for under ten dollars. It’s not fancy or upscale but it’s comfortable and clean. A good, casual place for a quick working day lunch or family evening dinner.

I love this place! Was sad when the one in Pearland closed a while back-​but very excited to find this one in Alvin. Spaghetti with mushrooms is delicious. Bread and dipping sauce is great-​just wish you didn’t have to buy the dipping sauce like at other restaurants. Kids dishes do come out really hot-​but we just transfer food to another plate. Beats getting cold food served to you. Reasonably priced Italian. Great food.

This restaurant is old and tired looking, and sadly the same can be said for the food as well. The staff if very lackadaisical and hardly even comes by unless you flag then down endlessly.
This is by far one of the worst Italian places I’ve been too. If you could cook at home or even pour a bowl of cereal instead of going here, that would be a wise choice.

We have been to Luigi’s three times now and have enjoyed it all three times. Love that it is BYOB wine with free set ups! My kids love the white pizza!

Got take out from here once. The Bread and Salad were good but the chicken Alfredo tasted like it was heated up Ian a steam bag that you get from the frozen section at Krogers. A have not returned since due to the highly disappointing food.
