Clean average location, easy on and off the interstate for a quick lunch. They have lots of ice cream choices. There’ve also become a great «sweet tea» location for me!

This IS a new Dairy Queen! When the gas money came in & the big chain motels followed, the fast food tagged along to feed it’s new cliental giving Alvarado the most new places to eat in Johnson county!
Ice cream deserts are still it’s best sellers! But if you would rather park your car & walk to Sonic for one of their yummy grill cheese sandwiches to go with your DQ milk shake… it’s very easy to do!

Who would have thought they actually have a nice DQ in Alvarado that puts the run-down DQ’s in Garland and Richardson to shame? The food was really good and the building appeared relatively new and even the service was good.
