This place is disgusting & the food is terrible. We took a road trip & saw it from the highway so we stopped bc the bass pro shop is enormous & we were like eh what the hell. The store is amazing. So many things to buy & see but like I said we were on a road trip so we wanted some food. First, there was a 20 minute wait so we just sat at the bar instead and ordered food. I absolutely hated it, it smells in the restaurant & that just hindered everything else. Idk how you mess up a turkey wrap but they managed. I was sick to my stomach & hating life. I’ll prob never have the opportunity to go here again & I’m MORE than okay with that

Terrible. Never again. Service was meh, table was dirty, food was awful. Even the water was gross. We took the kids elsewhere to eat after this and they ate entire meals. I don’t blame them for not eating what uncle bucks put in front of them.

This place is horrible!!! Went with another family for an early Saturday dinner. Wasn’t packed and had plenty of servers but, somehow, our server managed to forget we ordered 2 appetizers. The food was sub par and when we asked for a manager, he blamed it all on the waitress and said he’d make it right with us on the bill. Received the bill and nothing had been done. Paid for the very dissapointing meal, didn’t leave a tip and do not plan on ever going back.

Fish was decent, but the kids didn’t like their food(hamburger, macaroni, and fries). Hamburger was a hockey puck, fries were really old, Mac and cheese was from a box. Be prepared to wait a loooong time for drinks, food, service in general. We did not go bowling while there.

In the past my visits weren’t very good here, but last night we had a great experience. I took my mom here for dinner and an hour of bowling. It wasn’t very busy, so there was no wait, even though it was 6pm on a Friday night. We were seated right away, and our waitress was very attentive. I had the swamp burger. I asked for it medium and it came out great. I thought the green sauce was a little strange looking, but it actually tasted great! The alligator was a nice added texture. I would order this burger again for sure. My mom had the fish and chips and ate the whole thing, so no complaints there. Our waitress checked back on us several times, which we appreciated a lot because we were able to ask her for extra napkins, refills, etc. After dinner we bowled, and lucked out into a lane right away. We didn’t have any problems with our lanes, only complaint my mom had was that the holes in the balls were too small. She has larger hands than I do, and the finger holes in the lighter weight balls didn’t work for her. But other than this, we enjoyed ourselves a lot here last night. Even though this is pricey, it is a great place to take kids, parents, dates. After we finished bowling we stopped at the fudge shoppe in Bass Pro and each got a piece of fudge. She chose the chocolate walnut, and I got the praline. The fudge was a great end to the night.

Terrible place! We waited a hour and a half and while we waited, only two lanes were being used out twelve! Will never come here again! Service is terrible, balls would get stuck and no one would come help! Games are on a time limit but yet the lanes will get stuck and take forever to get corrected. Manager didn’t even come over to express anything. Don’t come here!

The atmosphere is fun and I can see where a night out with friends to bowl and eat would be fun. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food… Fries: seasoned well and tasty Cole slaw: tangy. Good taste Fish: ummm… well… It was flaky and pretty good on the inside. However, the outside was dripping with grease! My plate was so greasy it had puddles. Some of my fries got soaked in the grease. I would come again… Just not order the fried fish.

We met a couple friends here for one evening for dinner, no bowling. The reviewer that said this place is «kinda like a fishing version of the Rainforest Café» is spot on. The colors are vibrant and the décor is really fun. It’s not the most extensive menu, but it seems they have something for everyone. 3 out of 4 of us ordered burgers, and all said they were great! I’m not much of a burger person, but it really was good. The fries are also good as well as the coleslaw that comes as a side(when they’re not out of it). Drinks were never empty and the service was above average friendly. I am not the«Bass Pro Shop kind of girl» by any means, but I thought this place was really fun; I would come here again.

On Dec. 30, My wife and I came with our two preschoolers and my sister and her husband and their toddler. We came to bowl and eat lunch at the same time. They didn’t bring us a kids’ menu and it wasn’t until after we ordered and then decided to order an additional item for the kids that we were told there was a kids’ menu. They were out of Diet Coke, a couple of beers on the menu and apparently I ordered the last buffalo chicken sandwich. My brother-in-law tried to order the same thing about 20 minutes later and they were out of it. My buffalo chicken sandwich was good and the potato wedges were very good. My wife enjoyed her quesadilla and everyone said their food was ok. Due to us arriving at different times and having young kids to keep entertained, the hour lane rental wasn’t long enough for 5 of us to finish our game, so they did give us an extra 30 minutes free of charge when we asked just for a few extra minutes to finish the 10th frame. Our server was polite and came back several times to check on us and refill our glasses. The bowling was fun with the fish theme and automatic bumpers for the kids.

I have been here twice. Once with a large group and the second time with a smaller, but still large group. Bowling wise, I would give them a 4 star rating. The fish theme is rather neat in my opinion. I like the seating that is available at the lanes and they have plenty of bowling balls to accommodate everyone. Automatic bumpers too. We did have a few times the lane got stuck but you’ll have that anywhere. If you get a strike when the red dot is in your frame, you win a free hour of bowling! Food wise, they get a 2.5. Their appetizers are fine but not so big of a fan on the entrees. It seems that anything that should be spicy, is over the top spicy. The one item I do recommend is the Venison Stuffers; they were delicious! They do have a room you can rent out too so you can bowl and eat and not in the same area.

I had to write a review because the only other review gave them 5 stars and they definitely do not deserve that… Unless she was here on «Awesome night» and I arrived on «slightly below average» night. The place itself is really cool. It’s kinda like a fishing version of the Rainforest Café with a bowling alley built into it. On wed nights they have an all u can eat Walleye thing going on, but it seemed they forgot to tell my waitress about it because she seemed a bit confused about it when I asked her(the guy outside in Bass Pro Shops told me about it). They serve the Walleye in 2 styles, which she did not bother to tell me about either(the guy I mentioned above told me about this too, and I’m glad he did). I wasn’t very fond of the bayou style(too spicy for walleye an it tasted fishy. I know it IS fish, but you know what I mean…). The beer batter style was much better. The fries that came with it might have been ok if they were not served at room temperature. COle slaw was OK. And will somebody who has a bar in Iowa PLEASE serve some of iowa’s best made liquer! I’m talking about Templeton Rye whiskey! You can’t find it in a liquer store because they can’t keep it on the shelves, and every rime I ask for it In a bar, they don’t have it either. I will be back to Bass Pro Shop again, but this place is no Hemingways(the restaurant located inside the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield MO., which is EXCELLENT). I think I will skip Uncle Bucks next time and go back to the High Life Lounge instead.

Uncle Bucks Fish Bowl and Grill is actually located in the Bass Pro store. But they have a separate entrance in case you want to come here strictly for the bowling, pool, or bar. There are 12 bowling lanes, 2 pool tables and a private dining room if you want to host a party. One hour of bowling is about $ 12/person and $ 3/person for shoe rentals. We did cosmic bowling and it was a blast!!! They also serve food here so you can eat and bowl at the same time. Everyone here was very friendly and the patrons were nice as well. The website says they open until 1am but the sign we saw outside the door said 12 midnight was closing time. Kitchen closes late at 11pm. I would definitely come back here again to brush up on my bowling skills.
