This restaurant is located close to home so when I’m in the mood for Mexican, this is normally where we head to. I love their margaritas! If their margaritas weren’t as good as they are, however, I probably wouldn’t come here because I don’t think the food is that great. The chicken is over cooked and the shredded cheese is low quality. The salsa is always real good. Sometimes it’s spicier than the last time or it has more cilantro in it than last time(no real consistent flavor), however it’s good every time regardless. But, again, I mostly come here for the margaritas and that’s what I recommend.

My husband and I have been eating at Tres Portrillos for 5 years. The food is great and they are always adding new entrees. The margaritas are delicious and they are not stingy with the tequila. The service is good, everyone is always very friendly. They recently installed new tables, booths and issued all new menus. It’s clear that ownership takes pride in their business. We always choose TPs when we’re craving Mexican.

I have been going since it opened. They have cut many corners on the food items. The service is always fast and friendly. The food is great but again they have taken away from some of my favorite meals.

we used to go this place a lot. at least once of a week. sometimes two. since couple years ago, service got bad, food quality got unstable, only good thing is reasonable price for us. the other day I ordered Chile relleno. I never have chille relleno like that before. CHEESESAUCE bleed out from chile! my husband and myself used eat this all the time. I believe stuffing was a cheese. not sauce. oh, and we had couple foods had plastic piece before. we are not coming back this place often so I don’t know this happen are all the time or not. only I know is we are not going back here again. too sad lose favorite restaurant.

We have been going here for years! The menu is huge and the meals always come out nice and hot. It used to be this quaint little spot but now has grown with the addition of the other room. The food is fabulous. The kids always like the quest and chips!!! The margaritas are the best around. I don’t really like the added room, huge, long tables and I think hard to keep clean. I always liked the intimate setting. It is definitely, hands down the most traditional Mexican food you can eat in town.

I have been going here since It opened years ago. I must say food comes out in 60 seconds likes its microwave, definatly not near what It used to be. Service has absolutely bee horrible last few times I went. I went with couple of friends and they all agree. I complained to management about bad service, wrong plate I got and rude servers, he argued I was wrong. wow Ill never go back untill this place gets new management and makes some changes.

This place is a westside gem, i have been going here since it originally opened years ago. Let me start with the layout, it may look like a sports place but its only for guys who want great mexican and be able to watch the game. The staff is friendly, the chips and salsa that come next are homemade, fresh, and mighty tasty! Drinks are reasonably priced for those that want a nice complimentary shot or glass of something from the wide selection bar. The food is awesome, I’ve yet to go to a big franchise chain mex restaurant and them be better than Tres Potrillos. Prices are about the same give or take a dollar or so, of any chain mex restaurant. I’ve been going here for years and will for more years as the food is great, service is good, prices are good, and i always feel welcome there. Best westside Mexican by far!

What sets this place apart from some other Mexican places is it’s fab patio! It’s huge, perfect place to spend happy hour with a couple Margaritas ;). Their salsa appears to be freshly made, w/chunks on onion and cilantro. I normally order the Baja Mex salad, its a large romaine chopped salad w/marinated slices of chicken. It also has beans, corn, tomatos and cheese on it. I get it with a side of sour cream to be dipped versus a regular dressing. Its as good of a salad that I have had at any mexican joint.

Tres Portillos is a decent eat. Some items are very good while some are just average. Their entrees are usually exceptional but their beans, rice etc. Leave a lot to be desired. Service is also spotty. It is either exceptional or poor. For best results eat on Friday evening.

I came here with a friend and was really disappointed. The waiters, not thinking we could speak spanish, made fun of my friend as we walked by. The food tasted pretty much like taco bell. Would not return.

If the food wasn’t as good as it was, it would be a one star. The place is clean, and spacious. The patio is great. The service is retarded. They have the most servers I’ve ever seen in a restaurant, and good luck getting anyone to do drink refills(booze too, not talking about all you can drink pop). Back to the food, it isn’t what you’re expecting but it is good. For example my gf got a chicken quesadilla. What we got was a chicken fajita. I asked the server if she was sure this is what we ordered because it looked an awful lot like a fajita. She said it was and I asked why there was no cheese, since thats what a quesadilla is about. The fajita was good, don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t what we were expecting though. I also find the margarita to be under boozed for as much as it cost for a pitcher.

The food here has made me sick on more than one occasion. It’s also very mild and not authentic. The service is also annoying because I always feel like I’m being rushed. I definitely will never go back here again.

Absolutely best margarita I’ve ever had(and boy have I had my fair share). Coldest beer in Columbus. Food is good, FAST, and fresh. Service is great.

Good Food, good services. This place is tucked away in Galloway Ohio. The food is good, packed with fresh ingredients. I recommend the beef nachos as an appetizer. They do advertise having the best Margarita in town, but considering they are the only Mexican restaurant in town, it is easy to claim. The Margaritas are a very fair price, but are just ok. If you are in the Galloway area do not hesitate to go to this Mexican restaurant.
