Had the t-bone, good taste and made right on the first try. Bread was great Service was very quick and attentive. Restaurant was clean and well taken care of.

The food was fine. The service was not. Our appetizer was taken to 2 other tables before we finally said it was ours. Had to go to bar to get a glass of ice because after 20 minutes and asking server 3 times she didn’t bring it. Also saw wrong entrees trying to be served to wrong tables. It was a mess. May go back in a couple of years if the restaurant survives that long

Service was slow but friendly. No bread brought to table. Ordered Monday lunch special. It was ok. Steak was thin and had been cut incorrectly which made it tough and hard to cut. Flavor was ok. It wasn’t that busy, but staff seemed frazzled and not up to the shift for the day. Beer was good and cold.

Our first time here we all ordered off the lunch menu. I tried The Monday’s Special $ 10 Sirlion 1 side & Beer My One friend tried The Shrimp tacos –w/Chipotle Coke slaw… Soft shell Other one ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Wrap w/fries. All entrees was average in size, taste, & price They bring you out BRead to the table that is made with Beer. Different & good especially with Honey butter… Only problem was our Server disappeared for about 15 minutes & we needed refills, check, & to go boxes… I also had to mention to her about clearing the table of dirty dishes! But overall I give them a 7 out 10 Just needed a better server…

Didn’t even realize this place existed until a classmate suggested coming here for dinner/to eat our feelings after a rough let repeat ROUGH day. It really is true — Mondays are without a shadow of a doubt theee worst day of the week, but I digress. Anyways, after getting lost and almost hitting a pedestrian wandering in the middle of the road, my friends and I arrived at the restaurant which was packed. Turns out they’re running a promotion to celebrate their new hours(opened on Mondays now). As part of the promotion, they’re offering an 8 oz. sirloin + choice of side(fries, chips, glazed carrots, baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes) + choice of beer. All of this for $ 10. Yes, you read that right! TENDOLLARS! Woohoo. The only caveat is the promotion ends Nov. 30th so make sure you get your ass here before then! Before your meal, the servers bring out complimentary bread that’s baked in house. We had some sort of pumpkin bread that was serve warm with butter. I requested my steak medium rare with loaded mashed potatoes(butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon) and the strawberry blonde ale. Overall, the cook on the steaks were pretty good for the 7 of us that ordered the sirloin. Mine was perfectly medium rare while a couple of my friends’ ended up being over. :/My other friend ordered the pasta and was a bit disappointed. It lacked flavor and was drowning in sauce(I thought it was chicken noodle soup at first glance). Few people ended the meal with some of their house made desserts which the pastry chef makes fresh daily and seemed to enjoy them. Tonight’s selection included bread pudding and cheesecake with strawberry sauce. Service was excellent overall. Our server was friendly, attentive and made sure to check in on us time to time despite the restaurant being so busy. Found it a bit odd that for a restaurant that specializes in serving a wide array of beers, the server wasn’t 21 so she couldn’t answer questions about recommendations for the beers. Oh well. Looking forward to trying their prime rib next time I’m back and happy hour!

Great meal here tonight! This was our first time at Main Street and we were very impressed. From the exceptional service and care we received from Jasmine, our server to the attentiveness of the management staff who checked on us more than once, we were very well cared for here. The restaurant was spotless and the ambiance was great. I can’t say enough and I haven’t even gotten to the amazing food. Our meal began with a complementary mini loaf of beer bread– yum! We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer — delicious. The beer cheese soup is absolutely to die for! I will justify not giving the fifth star by saying my seared ahi tuna could have been a bit more rare but really a fabulous meal over all. We will be returning and next time plan to save room for dessert which looked amazing but we were just to full to try. Thanks for a great experience Main Street!

We’ve been three times in the past two weeks! Each time I’ve gotten something different. The shrimp tacos were amazing, the Reuben was also very good! Second time I ordered the Seafood Alfredo pasta(with mussels and shrimp), and it was good, but I won’t probably order a second time. The staff is very knowledgable with the menu and quick to recommended what to eat when in question. Everyone is very friendly and attentive. The beers here are also great. I’ve had the strawberry blonde ale and the peach blonde ale. For fruity beers it’s just the right amount of fruit flavor. So happy this restaurant is an option in Alton and always ready to go back!

Menu looked good, not overwhelming with too many choices like some places. I had the fish tacos(good but not great), and tried a flight of beers. The server wasn’t 21 so she couldn’t speak for the beer which was odd at a brewery… and the system for knowing what was on tap was confusing/not clear. Overall it was ok but not dying to go back. Worth a try if you want to try new beers.

The waitress was Sweet and the food was great, but my husband and I order a 16 oz Tbone and a 22 oz porter house. The food runner brought us out our steaks and said«oh they’re both medium rare, that’s easy» but we both agreed that they looked exactly the same and one was definitely not 6 oz more than the other. When we questioned it, the manager swore to us that she was«almost 100% sure» that it was a porter house and that she would go back to the kitchen to double check. She never returned and completely blew our concern off and all we wanted was to be charged for what we actually got, which were 2 Tbones. All the while, the table next to us complained that their ribeye was too fatty, which a ribeye is supposed to be fatty, but they got their steak comped and a free desert. We are both servers and bartenders and we have both worked in meat markets before and are also avid steak fans. We were very disappointed with the manager care for their customers.

We went here for Father’s Day and the wait was pretty short but we also went very late in the day. The service was good and the food was very good as well. The little beer breads were very good. Onion rings were good and the steaks were cooked the way we asked for them. For a new restaurant in town they are doing a very good job. We would definitely go back!

went for lunch! I had shrimp tacos & fries and my friend had mushroom brie soup and ceasar salad. She loved her soup but when she asked if the soup just had mushrooms and cheese, the server said she didn’t know if it had cheese in it! She didn’t know what brie was and had not tasted the soup. Nevertheless, my friend loved the soup. My fries were great — a tad on the salty side but still good, and my shrimp tacos were super salty!!! So much I couldn’t eat them. I ate one and took the other home but even with the slaw on them it was really too much salt. The service was quick and friendly and the prices were good.

The service exceptional. The food was fantastic. Several restaurants in Alton could learn a lesson from this place. They actually opened with trained staff, go figure.
