Bellys Babies & Beyond

This place is horrible to sell to. They only take clothes by appointment only on Saturdays and they were all booked this Saturday and the lady inside was not only rude but was also sitting there doing absolutely nothing with not 1 person in the store! It makes no sense to do things this way and I would think they are losing money and customers doing things this way. It made me never want to shop here or being things here. Once upon a child is so much better. They do things the right way and are nice.

Tucked away in an strip mall with JoAnn Fabrics and Aldi, Bellys Babies and Beyond (yes, the misspelling of Bellies drives me crazyyyyyy) is a small business owned version of Once Upon A Child. Like OUAC, the prices, I find, are more expensive than what they should be for used baby clothes. What you may find here, though, is a nice selection of toys, books, strollers, baby accessories, diaper bags bows. I’m not a fan of the «make an appointment to sell your items» system that they have going on. Every time I come in the story, there aren’t many people so I’m not sure why they can’t go through my items then and there and determine what can be sold or not. For that reason, I have never actually sold anything to BB and B. I continue to support them anyway because I enjoy supporting minority owned businesses and because they aren’t far from my home.

Bellys Babies and Beyond is a maternity and children’s resale shop located next to Jo Ann’s on 436 in Altamonte Springs. The shop is small but has a good selection of clothes, toys, books, furniture and gear. I browsed the prices and they seemed a little steep but everything looks close to new and it is definitely cheaper than retail. I’m not a big fan of consignment shops, the prices always seem too high and I felt that way about this place too.
Also, I’m not sure if the owners realize that they misspelled «Bellys» in their name. I guess now that it’s on the sign and business cards they are just going with it! Too funny!
