We went to Perkins for the first time earlier this evening. We had our 3 and 4yrs old with us and naturally they both gravitated to the sweets while waiting to be sat. My son(3) asked for some money so he could buy a slice of pie. My husband jokingly gave him a quarter which my son promptly offered to Russell(assistant manager) who(much to our surprise) said he would absolutely sell him a slice of pie for a quarter. It was definitely a nice start regarding customer service. Our server was nice and prompt. My menu was REALLY sticky though(to the point where I went back and forth a few times thinking my menu was missing the entrée page since they were stuck together), which wasn’t pleasant. The food took a bit longer than I would’ve anticipated but the food was definitely hot when it reached us. My country fried steak was yummy and my astoundingly picky husband even finished his chicken, mushroom and asparagus meal. My kids both devoured their pancakes as well. All in all it was a nice first time. We really appreciated the service from everyone we encountered and will definitely be back.

I normally don’t go to Perkins but my parents wanted to get breakfast at noon so we stopped in to get a bite. It was empty at lunch time so we were seated quickly. The coffee and water were delivered to the table quickly and we started to review the menus. The menus were typical of any restaurant like Perkins, such as Denny’s, which cover a large area of flavors for what ever mood. A variety of omelets, sausage, grits, hash browns, etc. Or you could have Asian, American, Creole, etc. My parents had omelets, the customized ones, with muffins. I had a Creole dish of shrimp, chicken and sausage. I asked if I could substitute the noodles for rice and they didn’t have a problem with making this change to the dish. The orders took about ten minutes to arrive and when my dish was placed in front of me I could smell the spice come up off the plate. I noticed there weren’t much in the way of veggies, which was my mistake for not asking. I would have liked to have some steamed broccoli. The omelets were all good and came with the breakfast potatoes(and muffin) and looked very lightly folded with out any burning. The potatoes were browned and crispy, actually cooked really well. We finished our meals and the waiter came back only once to refill the coffee container. I had already finished my meal and didn’t want any more water, but I was hoping to have some during the meal to wash down the spice of the dish. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. I eyed all the yummy pies and muffins in the display window but I don’t eat that stuff any more so I had to summon my strength and walk away from the chocolate silk pie. The price was right too. For three people we were under thirty dollars too, not including tip. Over all a pleasant experience. I would go back but only under specific conditions. I don’t consider Perkins or Denny’s to be a place I’m dying to go eat but if you need something quick or if you need to get a fix for that breakfast/brunch I highly recommend them.

My BF loves this place and their peanut butter pie! To the point he requested it as his birthday cake earlier this year, which thankfully they do bake & sell the entire cake fresh! But this review is on the breakfast experience we had! We initially came for their great fresh sweets but enjoyed everything else too! We were sat immediately and had the sweetest waitress! Breakfast is always tough for us since we don’t eat pork & try to limit our carbs. Thankfully they had both turkey bacon & chicken sausage! I ordered the eggs Benedict with turkey bacon, hash & a banana nut muffin. We shared a cinnamon bun and he had the scramble with chicken sausages. The frosting on the the cinnamon bun was so amazing! It seemed to be a rich cream cheese frosting. They give so much food so be prepared! We actually had to doggy bag our pancakes & muffin. So it was a nice snack later!

I got my first taste of Perkins when my work brought in a bunch of their pies for a luncheon. I tried the peanut butter pie, which was just amazing. This past Friday, we saw this one on the side of the road and decided to give it a try. Needless to say, we weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I’m also very happy to see that I have someplace nearby that serves breakfast 24 hours a day, other than Dennys. Another plus for me, they were playing oldies, which had me singing along the whole evening.

I grew up at Perkins, eating at them every Sunday after Church. Now my wife and I eat at this one on 436 at least 3 times a month. Its great and service is always good. Sometimes it can be packed(especially in the mornings) but the food still comes out and tastes great. Surprisingly they have the best cheese sticks in Central Florida, and their burgers are actually excellent too! Their Omelettes and Pancakes breakfast deals are amazing values that IHOP cant even come close to… and their pancakes are better than IHOP’s too. we love this spot.

Stopped in tonight after being stuck at the hospital with family and other restaurants were closed. The meal was tasty, but the highlight was Russell the Assistant Manager who was friendly and lively… a tough thing to be at 10pm!

We come here 1 – 2 times a month, and have always enjoyed the food. Typically we come on a Saturday or Sunday, around 11 or 12. This is usually a busy time, so we understand there may be longer waits than usual. Service is not always terrific, but never terrible. Servers are always friendly. We will continue to go every other weekend.

This was our first visit to Perkins. Clean restaurant, very good selection from the menu, portions were huge so we had leftovers to take with us. Our server Kate, she was great !! Will be going back again. Thank you Kate and Michael for a great dinner. Your new friends, the San Franciscans.

The service at this place was terrible. I got sat very quickly which was nice. Once seated I never got anyone to come to my table i was over looked waiter by waiter. What made things worse they sat a couple behind me after i was already seated and out of the blue a waitress shows up and takes their order before anyone coming to me to even ask me for my drink order. Very disappointed because the food looked amazing.

Perkins is a restaurant along the same lines as a Denny’s or Shoney’s. My mom & I were heading home from the mall & lamenting that I forgot to run into the best Italian bakery in Long Island, Dortoni’s before I came for a fabulous strawberry shortcake or some ridiculously amazing cookies, & I see Perkins in the distance. Hmmmm, I know they make a French Silk Pie & have heard it’s really good so why not I say?! Run inside & am greeted by a cashier warmly but notice they now have another version of the pie in a double chocolate version with a layer of chocolate cake. I ask her for one moment so I can call mom & ask which she would prefer. The call literally lasted 15 seconds, and 3 people walk up to pay their bill. She takes all 3 people before me even though I was there first. Yes, I agree it is rude to make calls when paying but I was not paying! I can understand taking 1 customer first but all 3 when I was there first?! Not nice. Of course, the people all moved slowly & had to make conversation with her. Had I not really, really wanted the French Silk Pie, I probably would’ve walked out. So, I finally bought my pie, we brought it home & then after dinner tried it; it was really good! Now, at least if I forget to stop at the bakery in NY, I know at least we can get a great chocolate cream pie at Perkins. I just have to deal with typical Florida idiocracy.

I’m about to drop some knowledge like Aristotle up in this b. A fellow I work with filled me in on this place, specifically, it’s baked goods. He’s the type who would know: a chain-restaurant connoisseur, from(where else?) the state of Ohio. Toledo, to be exact. They love chain restaurants up there. Chain restaurants and Jesus, in that order. So the word is, there is a woman named Anita who bakes at this place. The management hates her, because her pies are so good that she can essentially name her price. Word has it that she gets paid as well as a restaurant manager. Big doin’s. And it was true, about the pie at least. We had us a chocolate cream pie for a super-awkward, super-sober office pre-Thanksgiving party. That cake was amazing. Anita did that right. This fellow says, and I can’t vouch directly, that the apple pies go extra quick. Like really goddamn quick. In fact, you generally have to preorder weeks ahead for Anita’s cakes. So this review may be coming too late for Thanksgiving. But yes, you can order a cake or pie from Anita. My own two cents are that Anita oughta get whatever she wants. People are Unilocaling about them with a solid 4 stars because of her. If she’s that good, and Ohio seems to think she is, Anita is doing them a favor. But hey, I haven’t met her, only her pies. I am only a cry in the wilderness, one opinion in a veritable ocean, and in the end I don’t know shit. None of us do. Enjoy your pie!

Food is okay for the type of place. Sodas tasted weird, probably because their machine had some issue, according to the waitress(which didn’t stop them from serving the soda though). Service is really slow. I’ve been to this place twice. First time, I waited 15 minutes to be seated(not because the place was full but just because no one stopped to welcome me). Second time, I waited almost 25 minutes for my drink, dish came almost 40 minutes after I ordered it. The waitress dropped the check on the table almost as soon as she brought the dish, which I think is really rude. Cutlery was dirty(had sauce on them) and had to be replaced. Overall, very disappointing. It’s not because you’re a diner that you can be messy the basics. Look elsewhere if you care about decent service.

Our family ate breakfast here today. The waitress dropped the drinks on us, which I get happens. The problem is in how she handled the situation. She failed to apologize, did minimum clean up and then left a bunch of napkins for us to finish cleaning. Then the manager stopped by and made a lake joke about never sitting at that waitress’ table again. I didn’t expect much but a simple apology and dry table would have went a long way. Service was substandard.

We were glad to find a good roast beef sandwich at this Perkins. We arrived at 11:00 and were seated quickly. Our waitress was very helpful and brought us our drinks quickly. The only bummer for my husband was their selection of beers was limited. Our food came hot and fresh. The waitress offered us refills and desserts. The desserts looked incredibly yummy but we skipped them. The bathrooms were clean.

Went there just to get out from work and eat out. had a coupon for a $ 6.99 cheeseburger, fries and a Coke. Nearly no wait time and while I sat in my booth, I looked around to notice all the senior citizens enjoying their meals. I felt so young! I digress. back to the meal. My server was very nice and she quickly brought out the burger. It was a good sized one too with very crispy fries on the side, two fresh tomatoes on top and two pieces of pickles. I chose the American cheese and they had put on two slices. Yum. The burger wasn’t ah-mazing. It was a cheeseburger. Yet the bread which wasn’t just your typical burger bread was tasty and soft and made it pretty good.

for nine bucks I had 2 eggs omelet style with cheese, ½ a waffle, hash browns, turkey sausage and a pot of coffee. It was yummy overall but it seemed kind of cold when it came to the table. The service was okay but when the waitress delivered the three syrups she did not bother to tell me the different types, I had to ask for them. I enjoyed the free wi fi and that worked well, I did some email while I was there. I went in about 8 a. m for 2 hours. Pretty good– manager was odd, barking orders loudly at his staff. Bathroom was clean and had hooks on the back of the door for the purses. always points there :-)

My fiancé and I stopped at Perkin’s over the weekend for breakfast. However, my expectations weren’t all too high as this was only my second trip ever to Perkins. Upon being seated in a booth, I noticed how the seat felt more like a trampoline. I had to restrain my inner child from jumping up and down. We must’ve waited maybe 15 minutes before our server arrived and took our drink order. 10 minutes later, she came back with our drink, and 15 minutes later, she came back for our order. I ordered the Farmer’s Omelet with breakfast potatoes, and it also included pancakes. The green peppers and onions had been sauteed past the point of no return to where they were blackened. The omelet wasn’t very satisfying to say the least. I ended up pulling it apart to remove the blackened bits of onions and peppers, but that didn’t even save my breakfast. So, my breakfast sat at the end of the table wasted because the quality was so mediocre. My fiancé ordered Southern style chicken and biscuits, which were topped with gravy. By the time it arrived to the table, the gravy was cold, but, the chicken was hot, so, my fiancé ate it without complaint. Will I go back? Probably not. Would I recommend Perkins to a friend? Definitely not.
