Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious. Not a typical family restaurant, this is a restaurant that considers every guest as family, and feeds them their old time recipes that have been passed down for years. The baked goods are amazing, along with the cinnamon rolls as big as your head! The daily special is usually very tasty, but if that’s not for you, their sandwiches and breakfast food always hits the spot.

No reason not to give them 5 stars. For this small town this place is the best choice. Food is better than you would expect and has a cheap price. Chicken sandwiches and chicken fingers are good. Burger was just okay. When you don’t feel like cooking come up to this diner.

We had breakfast here. Very small place. Décor was very cute, aprons hung at the windows, for valances, lots of wainscoting… The food was great, I had eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast, it was all cooked the way I ordered it! My husband had sausage and gravy, they gave you plenty of gravy, nothing worse than a dry biscuit… My only complaint is they do not butter your toast, the butter doesn’t melt as well when the toast cools… The prices were very reasonable!!! I would definitely recommend this place for a great breakfast at an excellent price!!! We will try then for lunch when we are in that area again!!!

Definitely worth stopping at this local place and enjoying a great extremely inexpensive meal. On our way from Cincinnati to St. Louis we were desperate for a good breakfast that was not part of any restaurant chain. This place is truly a piece of small town America. The owner and waitress were extremely sweet and it was clear everyone knew everyone. The food was great. The pancakes were large, fluffy and delicious. The biscuits are a must get! For two people with two drinks and meals the check came to under $ 10. I have never seen something so cheap with homemade quality and clearly made with love. Next time your driving through stop here and eat a biscuit.

This an authentic, local, small town restaurant where everything is made on site. Nothing phony here. The people treat you like family. It is a hub for locals. Get away from the highway and experience genuine hospitality.

Excellent sandwiches. Hamburger cooked just right. Club sandwich on sourdough bread was great, comes with homemade chips(with awesome dip) or fries. Small place, laid back. Not fast not slow.

Discovered this when looking for a cooked breakfast away from highway chain food while on a trip. The outside is uninspiring, but we walked in anyway as we didn’t want to keep hunting for another place. SURPRISE! It’s a comfortable classic small-town café, locals enjoying coffee and eggs while exchanging the morning news. BISCUITS, PIES, ANDDESSERTSAREBAKEDTHERE. The biscuits were so good we ordered some«to go» to eat in the car later. I’m only sorry that we were too full after our meals to sample the delicious looking pies in the bakery case. Friendly, cheerful service. Good value. Definitely worth driving a few miles off the freeway.
