We explored Gregory’s flea market & Regina’s antiques for the third time recently. It had been a couple years since we had been. I was a little disappointed in the amount of small stuff they had. The furniture chairs, chests, tables… Was quite reasonably priced, some nice pieces! I didn’t find anything I had to have, but my sister-in-law found a breakfast nook for $ 145. If you have the time and you enjoy exploring go ahead. Things are a little on the dusty side.

Flea market fans know that any given day can be a hit or miss. Last week, I was on a mission to find wood chairs for use in a screened porch. We enjoyed poking through the various vendors’ merchandise, the usual flea fare, but didn’t find anything appealing. The day looked like a miss until I came upon the last vendor before the barn in back. The booth was chock full o’ chairs, and«Ed» was patient and good-humored as we tried out all of the chairs, Goldilocks-style. I ended up with two pairs for 40 bucks and was quite pleased with the experience. Then, in the barn out back — -what a great surprise! On a previous trip, I found the barn a little musty and junky for my taste. Now, the owners have spruced up the insides and created some nice booths for vendors. I scored with three vintage canoe paddles and a painted door with a welcome stencil — perfect for our lake house. I really wanted to keep looking, but my group was getting a little restless. So, I’ll be back — -especially for the barn.
