The burgers here are amazing and the fries completely amazing. Good service and good music

Not gonna lie, I was scared of coming here because of the shooting last year. But when you have two hungry kids in the morning asking for breakfast burrito, as a mom, I have to take a risk. So instead of dine in, we decided to take the drive thru. Car doors locked, surroundings checked, with my index finger on the window operating button ready for any emergency. All that for a breakfast burrito… Well, according to my kids, it was the best breakfast burrito they have ever had.

If I could give this zero stars I would! My husband literally just found a coach roach in his chicken sandwich. This is insane and places like this should not be able to be in business. The health violations are endless. I will be calling the health department first thing.

I don’t really like burger places like these but every once in a while I’ll indulge. I had the fried zucchini and chicken sandwich, both of them were great for the price and type of food! The only con is that they close earlier than I’d like. It’s right down the street and wouldn’t be a bad place for those busy late nights where you’re starving and just need food. I wish it was open until 10pm but we are definitely likely to go back.

Only came here because I had time to kill and was looking for free wifi and cheap lunch. When I got here, however, their prices didn’t reflect what was on their website. It said $ 5.50 for burger combo, but when I got there it was like $ 8. As for the wifi, I didn’t even ask because nothing appeared on my phone so I just assumed they didn’t have any. As for the food, my burger tasted like Chinese food. If I wanted Chinese food I would’ve ordered some. Good thing: free refill. They do take a lot of orders but I guess from locals and people who work nearby. I won’t be going back, though.

Just moved to the neighborhood and already a favorite! Love that there are so many different options and they all are delicious. Kudos for being family owned and a drive thru!

8 p.m. is no time for a restaurant to close on a weekday.

Ridiculously huge menu, great food, quick service, owned and operated by the hardest-working family in Altadena. Stop in for a big burger after your hike, get Chinese takeout for dinner, or come by for bacon and eggs in the morning, it’s all delicious and inexpensive. My favorite thing on the menu is the won ton soup, though. The won ton dumplings are wrapped in thin, delicate noodles, the broth is savory and rich, the vegetables are plentiful. Such a good soup. Seriously. And from a drive-through! The best.

I have nothing but great things to say about fairoaks burger except why are you closed on Sunday? :(that’s the least of my worries. The food is diverse and very good. From the Chinese chicken salads to there bacon cheese burgers it’s all tasty. Was never a big fan of steak fries but theirs are pretty freaking good. Carne asada is seasoned to perfection. Whenever you come to Altadena it’s a must to eat here.

Bomb-dizzle! Great find. Doesn’t have the greatest appearance but don’t judge a book by its cover.

A friend of mine suggested we eat at Fair Oaks Burger after our hike this past Saturday. When we pulled into the parking lot, we all laughed at the fact that they serve Chinese and Mexican food in addition to burgers. But after eating there, we weren’t laughing anymore; we were more smiley and content after a surprisingly satisfying meal. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger combo, my wife got Chili Cheese Fries, and Baby got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. There’s nothing to write about in regards to the grilled cheese, but the burger and chili cheese fries were pretty solid. The patty was seasoned better than some of the burgers I’ve had at higher-end restaurants, the lettuce was crunchy, and the buns were terrific. The chili had a slight kick to them, which made them very enjoyable. I prefer skinny fries over steak fries, but overall, I had no complaints about these. One of my friends ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice, so of course I had to try it. It wasn’t the best fried rice I’ve ever had, but it was pretty good considering their menu was so diverse. The same friend got Egg Rolls, and she said they were dang good. Prices were very reasonable, and the service was excellent. They’re super friendly and they bring your food to your table. We sat outside because it was a cool, overcast day, and because we had two dogs with us. Everyone had a good time.

Ok where do I start with the carne asada plate? Wow is all I can say because it was in the top 5 of the worst things I’ve ever eaten, and the smell of the the corn tortilla was of a high school gym eww I give up GOODBYEFOREVERFAIROAKSBURGER

Portions are humongous. The food is really greasy and delicious. Perfect hangover food! If you want something lighter, try the Chinese chicken salad, it is satisfying. I usually go for the Chinese bowl, it has sautéed veggies, and chicken with rice. Omg it’s huge though. The tacos are also really good. I have tried the beef one, by itself. It’s small but it’s surprisingly filling. It’s always the same people working. Everyone from the neighborhood knows them it seems. One time I even saw the cashier buy a man his lunch for his birthday ‚) They bring the food to your table Food: 8⁄10 Service: 9⁄10 Atmosphere: 6⁄10(hot inside!!)

I had driven by for quite some time, and a kitchen remodel gave me the excuse to give it a try. I’m certainly glad it did. One would expect that a place that has burgers, Mexican and Chinese food would sacrifice quality for variety — but not this place. I’ve had many of their Chinese, Mexican and burger offerings and they are all excellent! I recommend their namesake burger — the«Fair Oaks Burger» as well as their combination fried rice. Both are fantastic. My wife, who is far more picky than me, shares my opinion of their food as well. Don’t drive by any longer — give them a try and I’m sure you’ll find they don’t disappoint!

I almost chickened out and did not try Fair Oaks Burger. Altadena is very eclectic and I love a lot of the old homes at the foot of the beautiful mountains, but I haven’t really taken the time to visit any of the restaurants in the area. It’s right next to the Angeles National Forest which made it really convenient because my friend and I just finished a hike not too far from there. Following our hike on the Gabrielino/JPL Trail last week we decided to look for a new place to grab lunch in Altadena. We’re both« Unilocalers» and love searching out restaurants that look good according to the« Unilocal reviews». This is going to be my last weekday hike with my good friend and Unilocaler Mel D, sniff sniff, because she just started a new job. I am happy for her, but I’m sad to be losing one of my favorite weekday hiking friends to the working world. We decided to go to Fair Oaks Burger because it was just a couple miles from the trail. Fair Oaks Burger is on the north side of the 210 Freeway and is just a couple blocks north of W. Woodbury Rd. It is not a fancy restaurant at all and it looks like it has been there forever. They also have a drive-thru window. Inside the restaurant there’s about 5 or 6 tables and a few outside. I didn’t see any umbrellas for shade, so it might get a little toasty out there on warm days. You can find lots of options from burgers to Chinese and Mexican food. I really like this restaurant because you can get a good meal for a bargain. My avocado burger combo with steak fries and a drink was about $ 6.50. I thoroughly enjoyed every last bite of the avocado burger and the steak fries were very good as well. As Arnold would say, «I’ll be back!» and I really do mean that.
