Great Place. Of course the new releases sell out fast which is not their fault but … I do feel that if they were to offer more than like 5 copies than that would eliminate at least some of the frustration. There’s a great variety of different genre’s which is awesome but not so much for games. Anywho Ive cancelled my netflix for them so that means they’re doing the job

I don’t know if this awesome place recently change ownership but the amazing customer service is definitely not there right now. I miss the days when I would walk thru the doors and was greeted by a friendly staff. Now they have an older man working there who is extremely rude over the phone. I called to place a movie on hold. he hung up on me twice on the 3rd attempt he told me he was busy with other clients. I ask him to place a movie on hold for me. I drove from Corona, Ca to Rancho Cucamonga only to be told by the same rude man that he had sold the movie I drove 20 miles for. he said he could only hold for 1 hour and he sold the movie. There was a huge language barrier and I simply couldn’t get my point across. Didn’t even get an apology for making me drive so far. I will not give up and I will give it another chance. If things don’t change I’ll have to cancel my account. best wishes

It’s been YEARS since I’ve stepped foot into a «video» store. My husband and I have had Netflix for many years and recently only stayed with«streaming». My husband will sometimes rent games or movies from Redbox. The negatives with both these options is that you’ll never get new releases when they first come out. I mostly watch TV shows on Netflix(not movies so much.) We’ll sometimes purchase new released movie to watch via our cable provider for $ 4.99 if we really wanted to see it. So we decided to check out Super Duper Video and my husband’s first reaction was«whoa, it’s like stepping into a time warp.» We felt like we were back in the 1990s and that wasn’t a bad thing. LOL. They are located on the west side of Archibald Avenue just behind the IHOP. We were mainly looking at Blu-Rays which were on the left side and checked out 2 movies for $ 5(and some change). 1 day rentals are due back the next day by 8PM and regular rentals are due back on the 5th day by 8PM. Pretty good. Although they had a great selection of movies, my husband wasn’t too impressed with the game selection. I think for movies, this is definitely are«go to» place. 51⁄100 Reviews for 2015

Newer movies don’t play on VCR… wonder why? When addressed owner had no answer. Also, staff put movie on my account that I didn’t rent after I called them on inappropriate behavior… shady people who have your personal information.

I’ve been going to SuperDuper for a few years and here’s my quick assesment: Pros: — Fair prices for Blurays and DVDs — Very friendly staff(we know them by name now) — Drop off time 8pm — Always have new releases extra early — Efficient staff(we never wait too long even if there’s a line) Cons: — People always seem to park like a** holes in front of the video store(not SuperDuper’s fault).

Great place to rent videos. The owner gets the movies in far in advanced before redbox and blockbuster. Sometimes 2 weeks ahead of everybody else. I have been going here since 1985 and they also have lots of old movies on the floor you cannot get elsewhere. They sell candy, popcorn and soda. New releases are only $ 2 for 1 day return. The others are $ 2 for 5 days return. Fast service too! They always take care of me.

I used to hit this place up often when I lived in Rancho. Located across from IHOP, this place is a nice video store to check out classics and get some good feedback on current movies. The staff, though slowly changing over the years, has always been friendly. Nice selection of movies as well. Pricing is superb, a lot better than the major chains, Amazon’s Instant Video or YouTube’s movie section. The downside: I don’t think I every dropped a movie off on time at this place! How can the last drop off time be at 11am? I can’t make that hack time, not when I work at 7am! Anyways, despite my inability to meet a simple video turn-in time, I would still rent movies from Super Duper.

Four stars because when I was a kid, my mom would rent Faces of Death for us from this place. Thanks for the memories!

Cool old school video store. Friendly staff, good selection of titles and one of the few places left that rents video games and dvds at a decent price. I hope this place stays around for awhile. I worry for the day when you can rent video games on netflix… but at the same time, a little excited of the thought as well :/

I love Super Duper because the staff is always friendly and there’s never the huge crowds and rush you’ll find at Blockbuster. They’ve got the exact same videos at the same release dates as their competitors but they’re usually cheaper and more available. I miss the old days when they had an Upland location, but it seems now they’ve grown and are doing well in Rancho and in La Verne. Definitely a good video store alternative!
