Honeymoon BBQ Restaurant

Ok, I’m not particularly sure why this place has so many negative reviews. I’ve received delicious food, without fail, all several dozen times I’ve ordered from there. Plus it’s on grubhub, which is awesome and super convenient for when you want to be a recluse.
Enjoy this place, please. It’s definitely enjoyable.

The white Rice tastes bland.
The shrimp fried Rice tastes very good.
Egg Roll tastes really good.
Orange Chicken is Pretty good. Chicken tastes like Panda Express, Orange sauce tastes sweeter and fresher.
⁴⁄₅ Just because family member said white rice is bland.
If the rice tasted better (white) it would be a 5 star.

This food was fantastic! We ordered on Grubhub at 6:00 on a Monday and the food arrived at our door by 6:24. Everything was very hot and fresh. The absolute best egg roll I have ever had in my life and very good crab rangoon! I also got the combo lomein which had really tasty noodles. My husband loved the beef fried rice, which was a very generous portion.
We have our new favorite Chinese restaurant and will be sure to order again soon!

Food was ok. Customer service was awful. The woman who took my phone order seemed upset that I was using their coupon (which I had just purchased in June) She said they removed the coupons from the site, She obviously didn’t consider that even though they took offer off
that there were still offers out that had not been redeemed. Well… Made me feel very uncomfortable. I will not be goin back… Not Even to redeem my other offer I purchased for that restaurant.

I’m new to neighborhood and decided to give this spot a try. So glad I did… great food and service. I will be back.

So my husband stumbled on this place on Unilocal and figured we’d give it a try. On a side note, for YEARS we’ve searched and have yet to find a good Chinese restaurant in the area (sorry, but we’re not impressed by that one restaurant in Evergreen Park)… Until maybe now.
Pot Stickers were very good and fresh! My Kung Pao Chicken was delicious. My only «eh» was the egg rolls b/​c the pot stickers set the bar really high with flavor and I found the ER to be fresh, but bland. When we have a taste for Chinese, we now know where to go.

I went there today and ordered about six large orders and everything was completed in about half an hour. The food overall was really good and a total change from the past owners. I hope that everyone who has been here before and was unsatisfied come back to try this place again! This was also for a birthday dinner which I took a risk but it all worked out in the end.

I am still looking for a good Chinese food place in or near Alsip. I ordered my usual sweet and sour chicken and it didn’t meet my expectations. The biggest indicator was that the chicken bites were much smaller than normal and they came in the sweet and sour sauce, when normally it comes on the side with big chunks of pineapple and peppers. My husband got general tso’s chicken and he thought there was something left to be desired. We ordered egg rolls and he liked them, I did not. The outside wasn’t crunchy enough and the inside was too crunchy. I am not a picky eater, but I was craving Chinese food and unfortunately, I am still craving it.

Its chinese food. Its not the greatest. It’s ok for the most part place is clean. If you show up and order be sure to be patient as they have little to no business and make everything to order. Been here twice… Last time it took 35 minutes for an order of orange chicken to come out. I really wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Wow this place is bad. Ordered a large Mongolian Beef w/​no onions and 2 Egg Rolls. Now I have been eating Chinese food for 35 years. This is the worst I have ever had. It was filled with all green peppers with a little beef on the bottom and no sauce. None, zippo, nada. I called to let them know that I was very displeased with the Mongolian Beef. They wanted me to bring it back, and I said no because I had already thrown it away and then I hung up because I will still hungry and still had 2 Egg Rolls. Then my phone rings. I answer it and the person on the other side starts yelling at me because I did not like their food. Even said that I do not know how to eat Chinese Food. Sorry guy I can’t change the fact your food is bad, don’t blame me. I was not demanding any money back, just let you know my thoughts. Then we hang up and I try the Egg Rolls. They are in the garbage as well. Pulled it out of the bag and oil just dripping out of it. It was soft and soggy. Guess I need a Chinese Food Eating Class to show me how to eat and like their food. Stay very far away.
