I was so glad when I discovered there was a frozen yogurt café at Viejas. My family and I always visit on the weekends and it’s a nice treat for the kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful since we had never been to a self serve yogurt shop before. They even put in a special request for an ice cream flavor the kids all love and it was there the following weekend! Yes, they serve ice cream too!

It appears the folks at Froyo did not receive the memo that it is 2016. Got here at 9:55 am and tried to order some coffee — the girl at the counter said they are not open and made no effort to suggest they were opening in 5 minutes. I went back in at 9:58 and asked when they were opening and she said 10 am and a «yeah, what do you want«- it clearly looked like I wasn’t welcome there… I would hate to suggest it had anything to do with my skin color and hope it was just the girl having a bad morning. 1 star because I can’t rate this place negative, because that was exactly the experience I had.

I am a huge fan of frozen yogurt and this place always hits the spot. Whenever I’m traveling back home I always have to stop by. The prices are more than reasonable, compared to big FroYo chains and they always have a new flavor. Whenever some item from the bar is scarce I always ask if they have anymore and they always cut it up and serve it fresh.

My husband and I came here yesterday on 11÷22÷15 around noon or so. Maybe even a little later. I filled my cup with strawberry kiwi froyo and lots of fruit, he filled his with strawberry kiwi then regular strawberry froyo on top. When we sat down my 17 month old was SO excited for her yogurt she couldn’t contain herself. So I gave her a bite. Then I took a big spoonful myself and realized there was something wrong with it. I had my husband take a small bite and he said, «MAYBEIT’S THEFRUITCUZMINETASTESFINE!» I took a bit of JUST the yogurt and my mouth automatically tasted like CHEMICALS. My husband dug down to his strawberry kiwi froyo, took a small bite, and spit it out. Same thing. As we went in to get our money back, and elderly lady was right behind us with the same complaint of her strawberry kiwi froyo. I felt it right away but I thought maybe it was a mental thing KNOWING what I had just ate. But, about 30 minutes later I felt so gross. My lips were(and still are) itchy and burning, my throat and mouth were starting to dry up, it’s 12:34 a.m. on 11÷23÷15 and my throat hurts SOBAD that’s what woke me up. It feels like its burned. I’m beyond worried about my 17 month old and I’m hoping my husband doesn’t wake up with the same feeling. You guys need to make sure whatever you clean your machines with is washed out before adding a new batch of yogurt! 100% dangerous and scary!!!

Awesome place! Took my boys here recently(last week i think) and we loved it, totally craving it now! Did you know they also serve specialty coffee drinks? Yummy! !! Kiddos get sweets and mom gets coffee! Woot woot! Plus the gal working there is awesome, she is so patient with the kids, we went during the week and she was by herself, and she got everything right, with a «glowing» attitude(yes she was prego, cute little baby bump).

The food pyramid says to eat a variety of colored foods for proper nutrition, so I say eat lots of colorful Gummy bears and calcium filled frozen yogurt… I’m golden… It’s been scorching all over SD and its a frozen yogurt summer! So while frolicking in the splash fountains at Viejas, The FROYO sign lured me in… of course after checking the Unilocal reviews… So this yogurt café is relatively new, opened up in July 2015. It’s a clean frozen yogurt shop, nothing fancy… But I am here for yogurt… The girl working was friendly and generously offered many sample cups to taste and decide. I like how they were not stingy with the samples… I settled on salted Carmel corn…(Which to me tastes like Southern Butter Pecan) and lots of gummie Bears… my sidekick chose the suggested yellow cake batter and cookie dough toppings… The yogurt here is very rich and creamy, and I think I liked it… I liked it a lot… Like frozen yogurt for breakfast, lunch and dinner… Anyways… The price was right, I love that I didn’t feel like I got gouged for frozen yogurt, like how you always seem to get jacked up prices in most good courts… You can pay cash or debit(but they use the square) so no receipts unless you want emailed to you… The take away… Pretty good yogurt, friendly staff, a nice outdoor eating location, and as always… Like Bob Barker says… «The Price Is Right»!!!

Tucked discreetly into the food court at Viejas’ Outlets Center, FroYo Café brings realistic prices back to quality foods that this out of the way shopping experience has been lacking for many years. My hope is they can keep their prices fair and still pay the rent. Walking in on this new establishment we were greeted by a young staff that was eager to smile and serve. They explained the pricing and options clearly and concisely — almost veteran like, not knowing that they were new to the game. The cream served is smooth and delicious with no frozen burn flavor often found in small eateries like this one. While there is no seating inside, ample seating is available on the show court just outside its doors where you can catch a water show, fireworks, or whatever other surprise Viejas has in store for you tonight. This is a great opportunity to share one table for dinner and dessert without having to move restaurants and comfort. I foresee lengthy lines of drooling young mouths come the summer months at this great new location~!
