Attended a sorority event on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the bruschetta appetizer. With a group of at least 20 women, the wait staff was very attentive. Sorry I don’t remember his name, but our waiter had a great sense of humor. He recommended the meatloaf, which I ordered. The presentation was great, the meatloaf wasn’t as tasty as I envisioned, yet still good. The dessert medley was great; that caramel cake is to die for. Next time I’m back in the area, would visit again

Food was delicious — worth the price if you’re looking for a splurge. I had the goat-cheese stuffed chicken, and I tried a bit of my girlfriend’s steak. Both were wonderful. The price also pays for a lot of food — we both had enough leftovers for another meal. Service was good. Ambiance was a little dark — kind of upscale chic, I guess you could call it – a lot of lamps and stuff.

The ambiance and service was wonderful; however, the food was disappointing. The menu had a great selection and the higher prices corresponded with the menu items well. I ordered the seered jumbo diver scallops but the scallops were small and undercooked. The risotto was soggy, oily, with little flavor. We would go back again to mingle at the bar but the food would need to drastically for the price.

Sat at bar on Sat night. 4 tvs so able to watch football playoffs and basketball while dude played guitar. Overall, nice vibe and great service at the bar from Nick and Cassidy. Food was just average though. Bread was solid, but Greek salad, ribs and chicken pasta were all just ok and a bit bland. Great place, average food.

Okay food, lousy service. And no, the place was not so jam packed that the poor service could be blamed on the holiday(New Year’s Eve). I only wanted two things as I waited for my meal: bread(which other tables around me seemed to have), and an empty glass to share the San Pellegrino my husband had ordered(a large bottle, not a single serving – it was odd that only one glass had been brought out in the first place). I guess the waiter thought I was fine with my tea, which I was until it was empty, nobody came to refill it, and I was thirsty :-( Our waiter was completely MIA so when the manager came to ask us if we were enjoying everything we asked him for some bread and an empty glass. He said«yes, of course.» He never brought them. We asked two food runners and our waiter until finally I was blessed with a glass. The food: Calamari: not terrible, but we weren’t crazy about the spicy mayo on top. Why mess with simple fried calamari? If done well, it’s perfect with just some marinara on the side. Scallops over risotto with haricots verde: so-so. The scallops were chewy and the risotto was bland. The haricots verde(fancy green beans) were the best part. My husband enjoyed his ribeye and baked potato. The bread and accompanying dipping sauce were worth the wait. We will not be returning.

Great service, great food, and good happy hour prices. My 4 stars would be 5, but the poor guy playing guitar in the bar was so not good. Cheesy and just no.

Very cool chic place. Good ambience, a little pricey but the food is great. We missed the live music, but I have heard its good. I had the wood fire petite steak, it was great. They have a great selection of wine and beers.

Food was overpriced and under-delivered. Wait staff slow!!! Received a daily special menu with multiple items not available — terrible experience Food quality and taste is equivalent to a TGI Fridays. Just a more expensive version.

There were 3 of us that came here on a Wednesday night. I will say that just like so many other restaurants in Alpharetta, this is a really cool place. It’s got a fun, trendy vibe to it. They even had live music on a Wednesday which was cool. Be warned, though, there is not much lighting here so the place is incredibly dark. Once seated, we were able to go through the menu. I was torn between a tuna dish or a filet. I went with the filet. Our group started out with an order of calamari which was actually very good. It came with a really tasty sauce. It was a different calamari than I’m used to ordering. I’d recommend that app. When I ordered my filet, it came with potatoes and asparagus. I’m not the biggest asparagus fan so I asked if they could do creamed spinach instead. I think creamed spinach and steak is an absolutely phenomenal combination. It was actually quite a difficult conversation and I even let her know that I had no problem paying for it. I genuinely think she was new. Service was very spotty throughout the meal and I’m pretty sure management was aware because they were constantly running drinks and food to the tables. So…I get my steak and it doesn’t even have creamed spinach. It just came with regular spinach. At this point, we had waited a while for our food so I just decided to eat it. And, our waitress never came to check back in with us once our meals were served. When you’re paying $ 30+ for an entrée, I really believe the service should be pretty good. I didn’t think the service was good at all throughout the meal and that’s the main driver behind my 2 star rating. My filet was stuffed with sundried tomatoes and blue cheese. It was only really in one part of the steak. The steak was pretty good. It wasn’t the best I’ve had but certainly not the worst. I’d probably give something else a shot if I were ever to return. The spinach was just OK; nothing to write home about. Overall, I do like the restaurant itself and I thought the food was decent. I just wasn’t big on the service. I’ve definitely been to some better options in the area. I can definitely see how this place would be a great happy hour spot, though.

It was soooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood! Our server was incredible and super knowledgeable. There was warm bread with olive oil served that was effing fantastic. I got this shrimp risotto thang with asparagus that was banging. My boo got onion soup and steak and it was perfect. Ambiance is romantic and elegant without making you uncomfortable. Will go again for sure!

When you first walk in the door the lighting is the first thing noticed. But after your eyes adjust to the near cave like darkness, the seating is spread out perfectly to have your own lunch/dinner. When we sat down and ordered the warm bread and olive oil was nice and fresh and«sage» was spelled in balsamic on the bottom of the plate of oil. The main course for me was the gyro and my date hard the tuna melt. First my gyro, it was very moist and the portion was perfect. Now my dates tuna melt«weak sauce macgraw». It looked like canned tuna on white wonder bread with craft single on top. With a half a whole pickle on the side.

I was on a second date and very much looking forward to the evening. We headed to the bar where we had a drink before being seated(which was after our reservation but we were assured that would not be a problem… and it wasn’t!). We sat down and never felt in a rush top order but felt completely taken care of by our most capable and ever helpful Catherine who seemed to take a special pride in her job and the restaurant. I even suspected, with my date, that Catherine was related to the owner because of how much pride she took in her job anyhow much she built the restaurant and menu up. She was not incorrect. The food was exceptional and we both enjoyed what we ordered very much. I am happy to give this restaurant as well as our waitress 5 stars and will most definitely be back.

Just had dinner here and can’t say enough about the staff at this place. We came in late but they still cooked us Outstanding Gluten Free food. Very easy to work with us. I had the Skewers and the Tuna dish. One of the guys had the steak and were very pleased with the meals. Catherine our waitress could not have been better. Really She is a major star at this place. So nice and caring. Really wanted to make sure my food was correct. Thanks for the great food and service.

Overall I give Sage a four star review. We went early on a Friday night, reservation for 7pm but got there at 6:30. We were promptly seated and had attentive service throughout the night. I love the dark atmosphere, comfortable booths, and the sound level was expected, but a little higher than I like for a romantic dinner, and the restaurant wasn’t busy yet. We had the following: Woodfire Rosemary Shrimp — Rosemary Skewers, Pancetta Bacon Wrapped Jumbo Shrimp: Delicious Broiled Jumbo Gulf Shrimp — Artichoke Risotto, Sun Dried Tomato Pesto, Seasonal Vegetables, Roasted Garlic and Basil Infused Olive Oil: The risotto was good, a little thick, but then again I don’t frequent risotto so the texture might have been just fine. The shrimp were a smidge overcooked, but tasty. I was a little confused as I couldn’t find the sun dried pesto or roasted garlic and basil olive oil. Instead I found a fresh but confusing salsa on the plate. The seasonal vegetables were a mix of julienne summer squash, zucchini, and carrots which appeared to be steamed that fell flat and mostly remained on the plate. I love all of those vegetables, but I prefer them roasted. Woodfire Grilled Black Angus Filet — 9 oz, Stuffed with Sundried Tomatoes and Crumbled Maytag Blue Cheese, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Asparagus: My husband had this and didn’t seem to have any issues. He ordered medium and it came out mid rare, but that wasn’t an overall issue. I tried the steak and it was seasoned nicely. I ate my fill of rosemary bread with dipping oil. I was contemplating the mixed berry bread pudding but opted to pass because I was so full. Overall a nice experience.

After dining here last week for a triple-date, I realized I need cheaper friends. We had reservations for 6:15 and were seated promptly, at a round table for five people. The hostess pulled up another chair and then we all squeezed in. Then one couple decided to bring their 2-month old infant, so we had to move to a larger table. Thankfully, the staff was very accommodating for our group. Our server, whose name escapes me, was very friendly. He went through the entire menu, the specials, the drinks and then answered our questions. Our drinks arrived very quick and he was sure to bring extra straws and lemons(yay lemons!). This place was suggested for its«cheap» menu. Ahem, let me state, this menu isn’t cheap. It’s not crazy expensive, but it’s definitely not cheap. Being the cheap date I am, I ordered the Greek salad($ 10.25 with no meat) and a water. He ordered the Chophouse Angus Burger($ 12.75). Keep in mind, we ordered these things because they were the cheapest. Greek Salad — Hearts of romaine with vine-ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, kalamata olives, dolmades, pepperoncinni and imported feta cheese tossed with oregano, EEOO and vinegar. ^^^ — A resounding meh. It’s no different than the Greek place in the mall. Nothing tasted vine-ripened or imported. The vinegar in the dressing was very present though. I tasted mainly vinegar. Chophouse Angus Burger — Applewood smoked bacon, Valio Finlandia swiss cheese on a sesame bun. ^^^ — This burger definitely looked better than my boring salad. I can’t speak to the quality though, because he inhaled the burger. So let’s assume it was good. Overall, the ambiance is really nice and the service was great. I might return for a special occasion or a time that justifies spending $ 7.25 for a side of fries.
