I am sad to say that Cosmic Deli has closed up shop.

Love this place, the sauce was delicious and the sandwiches were amazing. So sad that it’s closed.

Catering review: delicious. These folks took a play from Mitch Hedberg when they made their pastrami sandwiches reasonably sized. Potato salad, pasta salad, pickles, cole slaw, cookies — all of them good. Elite Unilocal status dictates an honest opinion and Cosmic is ready for launch. Make it farm-raised(not factory farmed) and it would be an easy fifth star.

The Cosmic Club and Red Planet Reuben that my husband and I ordered were delicious! My son loved his Space Ranger hot dog, too. My little one enjoyed my side of pasta salad very much(I was happy to give it to him as it was a lot of food for me!). The service was excellent, and the guy who took our order(the owner??) kindly gave me extra cookies for my two little boys. So sweet! I definitely plan to come back the next time I’m in the area. They have a pretty varied menu and I look forward to trying out more of their sandwiches!

Came here again, and it was just really good, service was fast and friendly(although it is an order at the counter place.) I’m upping it to 4 stars.

Cosmic is easily one of the better sandwich shops in the area. The quality is consistently good, the service is friendly, prices are a little high but aside from that i am a little surprised that they do not have more reviews. I would not say that their menu items are insanely creative or that anything blew my mind, however everything they have on their menu is well done.(including their sides and pickles). Also, I appreciate that they use half-salts as their pickles rather than the standard out of the jar pickle.(The owner is clearly from NY). My personal favorite sandwich is the Little Dipper. But every sandwich i have had here has been good. If you do go Check out scout mob before, there is usually a deal for first time customers and a smaller one for returning customers. If you are used to the crap that comes out of Jason’s Deli or worse Lenny’s which is in the same shopping center, this will be a big improvement.

Well I’ll be damned, this buffalo chicken wrap was mighty delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with the potent, but not overwhelming flavor and happy to see the perfect amount of sauce slathered on my wrap. I’ll tell you one thing, Cosmic deli literally blew my mind. Have you ever eaten a wrap? I’m sure you’re nodding along as you read this enthralling review, and thinking to yourself, but Ari, who has not eaten a wrap? Well if you are in this class of people, you know the significance of the bottom portion of a wrap. Yes, there is extra wrap, not enough meat, it becomes soggy and goopy from dripping sauces and left over flavors, but you understand the importance. By cutting off the bottom of a wrap you have turned this delightful wrap into a ticking time bomb, ready to explode at any moment and completely splooge on your nicest dress shirt you own. No decent sandwich shop should practice the art of chopping off wrap bottoms. be warned, I recommend a bib, or an extra shirt at the office. Or you advise the staff not to cut off the bottom of the wrap.

This place is great. The owner took our order and suggested two great sandwhichs for us. We loved them both. You get a sandwhich plus a side and a pickle. The whole staff genuiely cared. I would recomend this place for sure. Thanks for a great late lunch!

Cosmic Deli… my «go-to» place for lunch. In my time in Alpharetta, I have developed a taste for a couple of their sandwiches… and, I think, they are a bit unique. First, the sides… I started out by getting their potato salad, which is VERY good… and highly recommended. But, to be a BIT healthier, I have started to get their cole slaw. The slaw is a relatively dry cole slaw, so just a bit of mayo to hold it together. It is mainly cabbage and spices. To be honest, it is an acquired taste… but, I love it now, as it adds some sourness and changed flavors to the meal. I did try the pasta salad one time… just not my style, but it may be yours… My fav sandwich is The Leo… which is a Pastrami, Salami, Provolone, Lettuce, Red Onion, Roasted Red Peppers and Italian Dressing sandwich. I ask them to leave off the Roasted Red Peppers and put it on a Wheat Wrap(a bit healthier than the sub roll). This is my «soul» satisfying sandwich… when I am having a tough day at the office! My other, go-to sandwich, is the Avery’s Astronaut Special… Sliced turkey, pepperoni and cheddar cheese with mayonnaise, spicy mustard, lettuce and sliced tomato on a NY Kaiser roll. Again, I adjust… I don’t like«spicy mustard»…so I ask them to leave it off… and go light on the mayo. I have to start moving this to the wheat wrap as well. But… it is cool… it is BASICALLY a turkey sandwich… with one slice of pepperoni. The one slice comes through in the flavor… elevating a turkey sandwich! This service is counter type service, but they do deliver your sandwich to your table. A bit pricy in my opinion(that is why it is 4, not 5 stars)…and at times, a little full of themselves. For example, I went in one day and asked for their daily special(I do not recall the specific sandwich, but it was NOT one on the regular menu). When I asked them to put it on a wheat wrap, they refused and said«that does not fit our pricing.» The daily special sandwich is cheaper and includes a drink. Well, I was not worried about the«pricing»…charge me for a regular sandwich, but let me have it the way I want it… again, I was refused. To me, that was over the top. But…even with that… I think that this is a great place…

I tried the corned beef sandwich on a roll. A bit salty, but a very good sandwich.

For $ 8 I had the chicken salad sandwich on pumpernickel and potato salad on the side. Well seasoned and tasty. Some argue that the price is too high but the ingredients were fresher than I’ve had at other sandwich spots. I will be returning.

This is a nice little place if you are in the mood for a typical sandwich, but I wouldn’t say it’s anything special – I prefer Jason’s Deli, but Cosmic is more convenient to my office. I usually get the turkey wrap – it’s pretty standard and it’s good. Last time I got the little dipper sandwich. All the«dipper» sandwiches are served with a «special» dipping sauce that is basically thousand island dressing and what looks like a little dried dill mixed in. One word to describe my little dipper sandwich and«special» sauce: flavorless. Not very impressed. The sandwich had no toppings(lettuce, tomato, etc.). It was just ham, turky, cheese panini pressed.

Traditional deli fare with space and cosmic names. You order at the counter, looking at the large menu on the adjacent wall. I got the Buffalo chicken salad and was told that of the 10 customers they’d had that day, 6 had ordered this salad. Seems like a winner. I filled my water and found the friends that I was meeting. They cook the chicken when the salad is ordered, so it takes a few minutes. The chicken is grilled, not fried, and comes over fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, one pepperocini, red onion. The ingredients were fresh, though the chicken wasn’t terribly spicy. I thought the portion was appropriate for the price. I’d go back if asked, but wouldn’t make the special trip from exit 7.

I think this place does a good job! I have eaten here about once a month for the past two years. Like all places, they have good days and bad days. What I can say is they have some good variations to their sandwich’s. I get bored with just plan old combinations that some of the other places have. Also just like other reviews this place has really good potato salad and pickles. If you haven’t tried this place, I would recommend to try at least once…

my review disappeared! Sub par reuben and chips for about $ 8. Small meat portion but decent quality. Overall I give it 6.0 rating. Better places on Windward for the money, Verdict: Didn’t make the lunch rotation.

Is it a bad thing if I feel Jersey Mike’s is better than this place? Cute concept just not fantastic in it’s execution. Had the big dipper and the Italian wedding soup(I haven’t had Italian wedding soup in yrs.). The soup was good and the sandwich was so/so Like Stacy G said there are many choices in this area not sure how long this one is going to last.

The Ruben Encounter is one of the most perfect deli sandwiches I’ve ever had. Thick with meat and great coleslaw on top make it incredibly juicy. Fast service and great price.

Not horrible! Is that a compliment? I would definitely try it again. I had the big dipper– roast beef and turkey and a delicious dipping sauce and it was good. Not very much seating.

I work in the nearby area and often walk to the shops over there where Cosmic Deli, Qdoba, Lenny’s, etc. are located. It is not uncommon for a group of us to walk together and enjoy a nice day out while getting some good food to eat. Food that’s notably better than our building cafeteria. It’s hard to get out of the office due to meetings, conference calls, etc. This is such an important point that our friends at Cosmic Deli don’t seem to understand. Given our schedules, the nearby restaurants are very lucky we make the effort to seek them out. We don’t have to — we could stick with the happy faces at the building — albeit mediocre — cafeteria. When I walk into Cosmic Deli, I expect a smiling face, high-quality food and an appreciative attitude given the number of choices within eyesight of their corner establishment. The food remains relatively consistent at Cosmic Deli — we’ve been going there since they opened. However the inconsistent — and maddening — thing about this place is the attitude of the personnel. Some days they smile and talk to you, others, they snap at you and — in some cases — make snarky remarks. Today, one of my coworkers(a very petite woman, all of maybe 100lbs) ordered a kid’s sandwich. She doesn’t eat much, therefore the smaller portion is all she needs. The meal comes with a 12ounce drink and a cookie. The register attendee forced her to buy a full-sized soda and would not let her have the 12ounce soda built into the price of the meal. Why? because she’s not under 10 years old. There was no offer of a credit for the ‘value’ of the 12ounces she did not get. Just an emphatic ‘no’ when she asked why. Prior to this visit, the owner — the bearded gentleman — made fun of my coworker for a picky order«extra toasty bread» for her sandwich and sliced chicken. Not an absurd request. But even if he meant it as a ‘funny joke’ since we are somewhat regular, it was not seen as a funny joke to the other patrons behind us in line. Today — with the soda incident — marks the last time we will visit Cosmic Deli. No more phone orders for catering to my department. No more good word of mouth. No more groups taking a walk to the Cosmic Deli … we’ll just wave as we walk past and take our revenue where it is appreciated. As someone else said… good luck, George Jetson. …
