Don’t let the location in a shopping center fool you, this is Crabapple — Chin Chin is a cozy and uniquely decorated eatery. It’s just a few blocks from our Roswell home — which is very convenient. Lots of feng shui and friendly, attentive waiters. There is a sushi bar and adult beverage bar. Both well stocked. The menu is a work of art and is full of mouth watering choices from appetizers to deserts. We settled for some crispy crab Rangoon appetizers and a California roll with fresh shaved ginger(white, not pickled pink) and wasabi that lights up the sinus’. I had Mongolian Beef and my lovely wife had Chicken Lo Mein. Steamy white rice on the side. Simply delicious. The beef was«melt in your mouth» tender. Hot Jasmine tea to wash it down. Fresh fortune cookies — fresh! When was the last time you had one of those? Good sized portions, reasonably priced. Back again. Mid-June evening, hot outside but cool inside. Got seated right away though the place was moderately busy, even at 8pm. The young man who waited on us was very friendly and prompt. We were unadventurative and had the exact same items previously reviewed. That’s cause they were so darn good last time, and this time was no different. Delicious and fresh. The Calif. roll was made while we ate the Rangoons. Sat by the kitchen where there is a line of windows separating the cook line from the dining area. When the windows get food or grease on them the cook slosh them with hot water creating a unique water feature of sorts. The steam and cascading water look cool. Try this place for great Chinese food when near Crabapple.

Great for sushi too! Besides affordable Chinese cuisine, they have a great sushi bar… Scout around for coupons if you are on a buyer. Great for kids & takeouts!

We have been eating here for years. The food is consistently good. I recommend dining in and delivery! They recently remodeled the interior.

$ 8 for a child’s lo mein! The container it came in looked like it had maybe a cup of noodles. Really disappointed that they charge that much for a kid’s meal. Meanwhile, my husband ordered two egg rolls and two containers of soup for not much more.

Great Lunch today… I’m originally from Metro NY/NJ area and this is SO much like the Chinese food there. Service is great and LOVE the open kitchen… great sushi and a sushi bar !

Every now and then my company will order lunch from here and I am always disappointed. The food has little flavor and there is barely any chicken in my meals. Rice is dry. They charge something silly, like $ 0.75−1.25, I believe, for the crunchy noodles that go in the soup. It’s just eh.

I have given this place another chance. The food has been very good. The pickup take out is very quick. The lunch specials are pretty good and not that expensive. Waiters are just not that good. I think they need more female staff. The guys are just not that friendly. But overall the food is good. The fortune cookies are not good at all.

Food really wasn’t that good and by good I mean it wasn’t properly cooked… The waiter took forever to give us the waters… Wasn’t a good experience at all. Will not return here.

Overcharged me $ 5 on lunch specials. When I pointed out the mistake the man who took my order blatantly lied and insisted that I pay the higher price(he said that I ordered from an expired menu, but he didn’t seem to notice while I was placing the order!) I threatened to never order from there again(I ordered for an entire office floor)…he said that was fine, but I was still paying the extra money. This restaurant is a bit… shady and we will avoid it from now on!

If you have the time, ordering the whole fried fish is superb. They always act surprised when it is ordered though ;-)

Stopped in for lunch. Health rating was 97, which is excellent! Nice size portion, fresh veggies, homemade spicy mustard. Nice atmosphere, not a long wait, attended to nicely. Would be willing to come back anytime.

I was just looking for a take out lunch while at a dog agility trial. I had the Mongolian Beef lunch combo. It was fair. It was not particularly flavorful or at all special. I’m pretty sure the egg roll was frozen not fresh. I don’t feel intrigued to go back there for dinner. And while I wouldn’t take away a star for this, he wasn’t rude, the owner or manager(I assume) took my order and brought out my food. He handed it to me without looking at me at all, his head turned away. He said«thank you». I said«thank YOU» trying to get him to look at me but he didn’t.

I’m giving this review two stars, simply because on other visits I’ve had better experiences. That said, my husband and I have been to this location probably four or five times in the last six months. Until today, I really liked it. Today, though, I ordered two lunch specials for carryout. We got the pork lo mein special and the pepper steak special. Both specials come with soup, fried rice, and egg roll. My husband said the quality of his lo mein was not what he would expect from Chin Chin, based upon past visits, but I didn’t think much about it until I took a bite of my egg roll… and immediately spit it out. The cabbage inside was so sour that it was inedible. I then tried my wanton soup… again, so sour and foul tasting that it was wasted. My pepper steak & fried rice were okay, but that said, the rest of the meal was terrible. I called to place a complaint, and the manager who spoke with me said he’d let the kitchen know, but did not offer anything for our wasted meal. Nothing refunded, no coupons for next time, no apologies… just that he’d let the kitchen know. What? I mean, I phoned ahead, drove all the way in, drove all the way home, and neither my husband or I could even touch half our meals because they were nasty. Yes, nasty. That’s a word I don’t use much, as my dad is a chef, and I’ve been conditioned to say«I don’t care for» a food if it’s just not to my tastes, but«nasty» equates«it’s gone bad and should never be served.» And this food was NASTY. And the manager on the phone was completely unapologetic. Thank you, Chin Chin, for your past experiences. Really. I had recommended you to plenty of people in the past. Now, though, you have lost a customer, and I will absolutely recommend that people STAYAWAY from your restaurant. Foul food; foul service.

Surprised to see these reviews. The food is great! Some of the best Chinese takeout I’ve had. They also have your typical takeout fare(lo mein, fried rice, etc…) but also some really great chef’s dishes, they have sushi and full bar. The restaurant is nice with a quiet casual ambiance.

Just standard food. Issues: The window where you can see all the cooks making food is dirty The waiter thought he was a comedian. The place no longer takes American express The amount of crunchy strings the give with soup has decreased The fortune cookies are not good tasting The food, kitchen, something had a fowl smell Thai hot was not very hot I believe we will have to find a new Chinese restaurant to go to. I hope someone reads this and sends some suggestions.

Went there with my aunt and 18 month old daughter and had the worst experience I’ve ever had there. Ive been there in the past and the food and service was very good but, this time in my opinion the food was terrible and the service was extremely slow and made us feel like we were our waiters last priority. We ordered the deluxe sushi platter and chicken teriyaki with fried rice for my child. It took over and hour to receive our order and the sushi was extremely bland and overpriced for what we were given and my child’s food was dry and over cooked. Will definitely not ever be eating here again.

I’m shocked to read these reviews. Its a shame that first people to rush to leave a review are the typically the ones who have negative things to say, Well I have positive things to say and from a happy customers point of view here is my opinion, I Came here from Tampa Florida, I CRAVE this kind of food, if only Sarasota had this kind of Chinese food, the people here are so fortunate to have a Chinese restaurant like this. The food is awesome! The flavors are so right on the spot. The staff is wonderful and accommodating, very friendly and eager to please. My fave dish is the beef lomein and the general tzoas chicken, the chicken lettuce wraps are the bomb as well ;) This place is number one on my list on every single one of my future Alpharetta visits! Thanks chin chin for satisfying my food craving.

Friendly service and great food. The lunch menu is a true value and is tasty. Food is cooked to order in exhibition kitchen and sushi bar is on restaurant floor. Full bar available with tv. With a coupon, spend $ 30 on food and get a bottle of house wine free! I would recommend and go back again. Dynamite rolls rock! Awesome delivery service too.

The food here is pretty much standard Chinese. Lets say your average gas station Chinese delivery is a 1 and PF changs is a 10 I would say Chin Chin is around a 6. The food is decent. I had the Mongolian beef. The restaurant itself is nice and the prices are pretty good. I left satisfied without spending too much and had good service, therefore I was happy.
