I’ve passed by this spot for years and never got the opportunity to stop until now. I stopped here between teaching sessions for lunch. The décor was eye catching and very reminiscent of the Caribbean. The only downfall was it was 90+ degrees out & they did not have much if any air conditioning. So I decided on the stuffed salmon. I’m glad I did. The server told me the salmon was stuffed with crab and shrimp. My sides were rice & peas and plantain. I love plantain. It’s a staple item with traditional Caribbean food. I’m almost insulted if there’s no fry plantain! Lol The fish was on point & cooked to perfection. The rice & peas was lightly seasoned and the abundance of plantain made my tummy smile. I am so glad I gave them a try. When I’m back on that side of town, I will definitely stop by. Please fix the air! It’s gonna be a heat stroke summer!

Not authentic Caribbean… everything tasted like salt, salt, salt. Wasted money! Took a picture before throwing it in the trash! Would not recommend, not good.

The food is tasteless and it stinks. I advised the Manager of this and she didn’t offer any resolution she said that she has never had an complaint. That is terrible customer service. I will never again go there.

Not even average, Mac & Cheese had no seasoning and twas cold. Was left with the last butt of meat because they were out which left me with waaaaay more rice. At lease sub for something else. I’ve had better EVEN here in the south.

This is what I think of as soul food at its finest — it definitely feeds my soul to eat here! On a historic note, oxtail is something I came to love through and was taught to cook by an elderly woman near and dear to my family. It just doesn’t get any better than the oxtail at Caribbean Fiesta, I could eat my weight in it, and I would make the trek to share some with Ms. Martha if she were still with us — she’d love it! The goat is outstanding as well, but nothing touches my heart like oxtail. The veggies are great, mac & cheese, cabbage, collards — you name it, all delish. The plantains are delightful, a nicely sweet offset for all the wonderful savory mains & sides. The folks on staff are always friendly, it’s really a pleasure to eat here!

Great food and even better service! I love this place and I tell all my friends about their oxtails and Macncheese! Delicious curry dishes and there are so many dishes to choose from. You won’t be disappointed.

Worst Caribbean restaurant I have ever eaten. If anyone here is from the Caribbean and say this place is good… They lie. Them not really from the Caribbean. This restaurant first needs to take out the word Caribbean from their name then change absolutely everything. They don’t even know what dhalpuri is. Shame I can’t give zero stars.

Ok so this is one of my favorite spots when it comes to eating some authentic caribbean cuisine. However, I’m very disappointed with the portions on their oxtail meal especially considering the price. I mean I don’t mind paying for the meal but seriously $ 16 plus dollars for oxtail with 3 pieces of the smallest oxtail I’ve ever seen is a total rip off. I won’t ever get oxtail from this place again, this is my 3rd bad experience with their oxtail portions, so now I know it’s deliberate. Guys come on this is America, you can’t be charging such atrocious price and not giving sensible portions. Management need to seriously look into this. This is not acceptable. …highway robbery on your oxtail portions it’s not worth it. ANNOYED customer

If I could give this place 6 Stars I most definitely WOULD! The food is AWESOME, and service is unbeatable. The Chicken Curry is the best I’ve ever had, hands down. CoCo Bread is a must. Plantains too! They also give you huge portions that are enough for sharing. The one thing I can say, that in no way takes away from the great food and service, is that although the seating area is always clean, it’s not exactly the type of place you’d want to go for date night or to celebrate a special occasion. It’s very casual.

Pretty good I’ve been here several times. This time around I ordered ox-tails comes with 2 sides for 15 bucks(Yikes). My friend ordered the jerk chicken sandwich all sandwiches are 6.99 no fries. Taste of the food was pleasing. Ox-tails were a little small for the price but decent flavor. I had macoroni and cheese as a side wish I would’ve chossen cabbage being I had rice. Mac-n-cheese wasn’t impressive. I’ve had it there before and I remember it being better. Overall I’m sure I’ll be be back when the craving hits me. I reccomend this place a alot to those looking a curry and jerk fix.

When the workers have a terrible, rude attitude, you know you shouldn’t be there! What ever happened to caribbean people being friendly? No one even said hello or welcome. No smiles at all while they were serving other customers. We stopped here on Saturday around 4pm. About 6 tables were taken and couple folks in line. The place looked busy enough to justify fresh food on the cafeteria line food pans but sadly it was just meh. My teenager got the jerk chicken, wings and rice. Food was lukewarm and most of the pans looked like they’d been sitting for quite a while. Lots of grease in the stews and vegetables. $ 10 for a ¼ quarter dark meat dry chicken, 4 very small wings and a small scoop of day-old rice. I just wanted a soda. $ 3 for a fountain drink soda??? WTH? Even the upscale restaurants don’t charge $ 3 and you have to serve yourself! I questioned the lady if the price was right and she shrugged her shoulders and said«that’s what we charge.» Way too much money for the quality and quantity of food and crappy service = We won’t be back.

I liked the food even thought it’d kinda salty. I stopped in for lunch. The lunch line was long. Service wad good and friendly. Enjoyed my food but this was too expensive for lunch. I can’t eat here often due to the prices. I give it three stars.

The last few times I’ve come here I have ended up throwing my food away! I definitely will NOT ever come back here again after yesterday when I came in and the little white Jamaican woman was there serving. She always has a stank I don’t wanna be here attitude and yesterday was no exception! When I told her all I wanted was a beef patty she acted as though she wasn’t gonna let me buy such a minimal item! Straight attitude! The pastry on the patty was awful! Nasty attitude, nasty beef patty! No thanks for the purchase just attitude! Not again, Bye Felicia!

Chicken curry actually stinks and the rice appears as if it was cooked a couple of days before. Stay away. Uncleaned tables. I like supporting the locals but this place is absolutely thrash

Its curry-licious! If you like curry beef, chicken, pork, or goat(the other-other white meat), then this is your place. Ninety percent of the dishes are stews. Okay, not all dishes are curry flavored. But they seem to be known for it. I love stews and that’s another reason for me to love this place. So many choices to make. Not enough time to taste everything in one visit. They will let you sample some of the dishes you’d like to try. None of them disappointed. They were all good. But I have to go with the goat curry and beef curry. I was told they were popular. Oh boy, Im a fan! I have to come back and try some more of the other dishes. My kids loved what they ordered even though they had no idea what they were. So why four stars? It’s the price. Even though it’s a self serve place where you eat off of a Styrofoam plate and plastic silverware, they still charge about $ 10 a plate. That kinda rained on my fiesta a bit. But for a foodie like me, it’s worth it. I’d rather pay $ 10/plate to a place with awesome food but so so atmosphere, than an ultra fancy place where food is average. This place might be best for take outs. I saw a lot of customers doing that.

Ate here once before and the food was good(3 – 4 stars, food quality). Went again yesterday to try other options, but they were not open during normal posted business hours. Went on Sunday(9⁄27) at 3pm, and they were closed. Business hours on their website and Unilocal note they are open 12pm-7pm on Sundays. Not the case :(Drove 10+ miles, to no avail.(1 – 2 stars, inconvenience) I’d suggest calling before visiting.

Sadly, I cannot get to visit this place nearly as much as I’d like or used to when I worked in the area. Now I have to make a special trip for all the deliciousness being served up. And believe me, I do. Here, in a nutshell, are just some of the qualities I like about Caribbean Fiesta: * Nice portions! * Great Curry * Great Jerk * Fantabulous Jamaica patties!!! * Excellent selection of proteins daily * Stooopid good mac-n-cheese My go to meal here is usually the jerk chicken, 4 wings, cabbage(or something green), and peas and rice. Now on days when I knew I wasn’t going to be having supper, I would get the jerk, wings, peas and rice, AND mac-n-cheese! This could be one of the reasons I am counting calories today. Maybe… In any case… I found the prices reasonable for what you get and the quality is spot on. I must say, this is Caribbean inspired food, not specifically Jamaican, but the Jamaican patties are irresistible. This is the perfect place for an omnivore.

DONOTCOMEHEREIFYOU’REIN A HURRY! I’m putting that right at the front so nobody misses it. If you want fast food, there’s an Arby’s or a Popeyes nearby. If you want really well made food with a variety of spice levels and flavors and have some time to invest, definitely come try this place out. Most of the time I just get Jamaican beef patties with coco bread, but that’s because it’s such a solid order that there’s little reason to veer from it. I have also had their curry goat with cabbage and fried plantains, all of which was on point. The pineapple turnover dessert was not phenomenal, but at some point I am going to have to try the bread pudding because it looks amazing. The prices are a little high, but I feel that they’re generous in the amount that they give you. I read that in the reviews before I came here, so I was prepared for it. It is such good food, though, and the staff is so very nice(point of order — this is not Southern fake nice or Thai painted-on-smile nice, I’m talking genuinely nice even if they don’t seem to be smiling) that it’s well worth the price for me. They have a pretty big selection of drinks, but I’ve not yet had a chance to sample any of the stuff I don’t recognize. I mean, I have to save something for another trip. I’m also excited about trying their oxtail and their jerk chicken, so I’m sure there will be more reviews coming!

I love Caribbean food and get it whenever I can. This place is definitely good quality stuff. It’s located in a fairly small shopping plaza that also has Mr. Taco. During the lunch rush, the lot can get pretty busy. They have most of the food out on the buffet line where you can chose what you want. Meat plates come with 2 sides. You also just get a serving of just meat which is priced by weight. They have all your typical dishes you’d find in a Caribbean spot such as jerk chicken, curry chicken, curry goat, oxtails and a lot more. For sides you’ll find your beans & rice, plantains, greens, and few others. I’ve had the jerk chicken and it was really, reallllly good. It was moist and seasoned perfectly and had the spicy bite to go with it. The greens are pretty good. Plantains are nice and firm and cooked just right. I believe the jerk chicken plate was the cheapest item on the menu at $ 10. A little steep, but I think it was worth it. The food taste fresh and they give you a lot. You definitely won’t leave feeling hungry Beef patties are hidden in a warmer behind the buffet, and it seems their options vary by day. I’ve had the regular beef patty and they also have curry chicken and couple of others. The beef patty was pretty good. Get it with warm coco bread for around $ 4 and you’re in business. Plenty of seating. Clean. The staff are friendly.

One word — Conch! My oldest son has never tasted conch and mentioned this place as we were driving by heading to a different restaurant. Well, what kinda dad would I be if I passed on an opportunity to have a «first time» experience with him? Being the food glutton that I am, we stopped for a single to-go order of this Caribbean shellfish delicacy. However, everything looked and smelled so good that we also walked out with dinner too! — — — — — - — - — - THEDETAILS Date & Time: Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 @ NOON Dining Companions: My 27 year old mini-me. What to expect: Cafeteria line with a few special order items(like conch). Service: Friendly. We took our order to go for dinner later that evening. Liquid: None [ ORDERED ] OXTAILS&GRAVY(4 stars) — $ 14.99 Delicious and surprisingly meaty. It still amazes me how something that was once considered discarded scraps of an animal can be made into something so freakin’ delicious. CURRYBEEF(3 stars) — $ 1 to add a second meat My first time having this dish and probably my last. The curry here seems to have a lingering aftertaste that is kind of bitter. Interestingly, the bitterness doesn’t come through while you are eating it. CONCHFRITTERS(2.75) — $ 4 Made to order so it might take a while. The flavor was ok, but some pieces were very chewy. Instead of a heavily breaded fritter with only bits of conch, I prefer conch fried whole or in nugget sized pieces(also known as cracked conch). You just can’t taste the true flavor of conch in fritters, but served just like this pic is a different story:
CARROTCAKE(3.5 stars) — $ 3 Not bad, but could have been moister and sweeter. CABBAGE side item(3 stars) — included [ DISLIKES ] — Way too much rice and too little meat for the prices I was charged. — I would love to see cracked conch on the menu instead of fritters. — The curry beef was not as flavorful as I’d hoped. — Parking is next to impossible during the lunch rush! [ MUSTTRIES ] Oxtails & gravy [ NOTES ] It seems a bit unreasonable to charge $ 1 for a second meat when it is less expensive than the first meat(Oxtails — $ 14.99 vs Curry beef — $ 10.99). To add insult to injury, they only give you half the normal order of each meat when adding a second. I would have come out better just keeping my order ALL oxtails. Total: $ 24.60 — — — — — - — - - FINALTHOUGHTS I was surprised at the total of the final bill. The food is good but I’m not so sure it’s good enough to justify the prices. Still, I would come back for those oxtails and possibly the baked chicken(which looked amazing). Most people in line seemed to go for the jerk chicken, so maybe I’ll give that a try too! Too far from home to be a regular and too pricey to be a fan, so for now — 3 stars.
