I’m surprised how this restaurant is still in business. It was past 3pm and found this place open. My husband and I were so ‘Hangry’ that without a second thought we got there. They had variety of dishes but not even a single one that tasted good. Goat biriyani was so dry that I literally had to bite and chew each grain of the crispy crunchy rice. And the same with tamarind rice and plain rice. Everything was so bland. Big disappointment!

I’ve had their takeout a few times, and the taste and quality is pretty good. I would recommend. I’ve had their buffet a few times as well. The food is fine. There are definitely better buffets out there. I remember their butter chicken being pretty good. They also had lamb or goat curry, and that was pretty good too. Their fruit custard is lame though… runny and they put in chopped apples with skins still on.

Curry is not bad but lack of flavor. Business was slow and service was ok. I will try this place again next time.

Is this the place I go to to on Windward? Is that the name of it? Been there for the buffet lunch a dozen times, could never remember the name, but I’m never disappointed with the food or the service.

We have been here several times and this is one of my favorite places to eat. The service is fine– not fancy but nice and friendly. Everything I have had has been wonderful. The portions are nice and I almost always have extra to take home. If you go later in the evening there are many Indian families dining there– I always take that as a good sign. I highly recommend it.

I was thinking to visit this place for a long time as this place is closer to my apartment. Finally I got a chance to visit this place with my roommates. It is located in the best shopping complex of windward. The restaurant is added to my worst Indian restaurant list in Alpharetta. My friend ordered Idli and Vada sambhar. Sambhar was good, Idli was ok but vada was oily and not well cooked. The worst part was the coconut chutney which was made from peanuts. In the main course, we ordered 2 entrees Paneer makhani and Dal Makhani. Paneer Makhani was ok but Dal Makhani was so bad. It was my worst experience with Dal Makhani. One of friends ordered a rava dosa which was well cooked. We also ordered the Sweet Lassi which was not cold. Sweet Lassi is always served cold, but we had to put ice afterwards. I asked the reason and the waiter told me that it was just prepared. I was kind of shocked to hear that. The Naans were over cooked. The service was bad, there was only one waiter who was unable to keep up with the number of orders and guests. I am definitely not coming to this restaurant again and I would also not suggest this restaurant to anyone else. I don’t know why other people have given it a higher rating. But please save your money and time by not visiting this restaurant. There are better Indian restaurants than this one.

I’ve been here a couple of times now for their AYCE lunch buffet. It’s a pretty good deal for $ 10. They have a pretty large selection of meat and veggies. I can’t think of anything that’s crazy spicy. Although it’s a self-served buffet, service here is really great. This shopping plaza has a lot of restaurants and shops, but the parking is fairly limited. I would try to get here before or after the lunch crowd. Highly recommended.

Food ia good and staff is excellent. They serve dosa to table and always check what you want. You feel like some one is taking special care of you. This unique feature made me to visit this restuarant frequntly. They have equal amount of veg and non veg options. prices are fair and compare to other biggies around this restuarant is bit small in size.

The below review is for Abhiruchi Indian Cuisine — Just noticed that the Unilocal business name got changed to Florist at Windward. Not sure that is a new trick of business. Not a good place. This guy dont know how to run business… the coupons will have lot of restrictions that is not stated upon purchase He is expecting all cust to read small printouts he pasted at the counter before ordering Unlimited Biriyani not really unlimited. You need to order one biriyani. ouch. i was expecting I can taste all biriyani… And dont even think about sharing the biriyani within your group Food Ok. Attitude — way high. that u cannot tolerate Wakeup — This is Alpharetta — lot of options for Indian Food. Learn how to treat customers. Will never return

It is an average Indian restaurant, the food is just ok and the ambience is casual, more like a place for a quick bite, on a day if one is in rush.

I’m sad to say that on my last trip to the lunch buffet at Abhiruchi, they had cut down the size of the buffet by one-third. I can used that number with confidence because they had literally removed one of the large carts of the buffet and dragged it into another room. This left considerably less room for food. Gone was the great range of dishes that drew me to the restaurant and kept me coming back. I just don’t know if I’ll be making a return trip. It’s this sort of down-sizing that is usually the harbinger of the death of a restaurant. I hope that’s not the case here, and that they see the error of their ways. In the meantime, I’ll have to start looking for a different option for Indian food at lunch.

Like many other previous reviews, this is a horribly mismanaged restaurant that engages in deceptive and unscrupulous business practices including false advertising. My son & I went this restaurant yesterday evening(5⁄15) to enjoy the ‘Unlimited Dosa(Per person on Thursdays) $ 9.99′ meal which is clearly noted on their website. Since this is an Indian restaurant, I called ahead to confirm that they were running this ‘special’ that day. The lady who answered the phone(very poor English speaking skills) after checking with the ‘chef’ confirmed that they were in fact offering the ‘Unlimited Dosa(Per person on Thursdays) $ 9.99′ special. So, when you sat down at the table we inform the server(who happened to be the same woman who answered the phone) that we wanted the unlimited dosa special. To our shock and disbelief, she told us that there is no unlimited dosa meal. Then I flagged down the cashier(who also plays the role of the manager) to come over and I walked both of them through the phone conversation which they acknowledged was what happened. The response I got was that they thought I was asking if they make dosa and they do — of course. So I asked the manager why do they have the ‘Unlimited Dosa(Per person on Thursdays) $ 9.99′ special on their website. He informed me that it was not on their website. In fact he was so bold and confident that he told me that if I can show him this information on the website, he will give us the special for free! Using my phone, I then proceed to go to their website and I pulled up this information and showed it to the manager at which time he responded by saying ‘oh…that is our take out menu’. I said ‘great…I will take 10 dosas to go — you know… take out’. He had a perplexed/stumped look on his face and I heard the sound of crickets in the wild for the next 15 seconds. Then he told me ‘no’. Then I said that he should take it off the website but more cricket sound ensued. This is the classic ‘bait and switch’ deceptive practice where he will put so called ‘specials’ on the website to draw diners in and he is betting on the fact that once they have make up their minds to eat Indian food that when told there is no special that the diners will simply order a la carte and pay through their nose. On our way out, I informed him that I plan to leave a feedback on Unilocal regarding our experience at which time he was even more shocked and his head starting moving back and forth like a bobble head doll — but more fluid, rhythmic and Indian like. I have had their lunch buffet(very mediocre and limited selection) a couple of time before I was introduced to the awesome buffet at the ‘Madras Chettinaad’ restaurant. They have literally a room full of buffet items at the same price. Avoid this restaurant — period. With the horrible feedbacks from customers, incompetent management who engages in deceptive and unscrupulous business practices, I don’t think they will be business for another year.

I ate the lunch buffet recently. It was just ok. The food was pretty bland for my taste. They had a wide selection but when I got there around 11:50 half of it was still wrapped up. I didn’t want to have to set my plate down and unwrap them so I just skipped them. The butter chicken was the blandest thing on the buffet. The naan was kind of tough. The goat was as well. It definitely wasn’t cooked long enough to get tender. When I went back a second time they had unwrapped everything and those dishes were really good. The inside was nice and the server was attentive. I’d probably not go back. Too many other places in the area.

Best variety on an Indian lunch buffet that I’ve seen. Great lunch place! The food is extremely high-quality for a typical Indian lunch buffet. There’s a lot of spice but it’s balanced out by plenty of cream and sweetness. Most Indian buffets just overpower you with spice. I’ll be a regular here.

Did you hear about the guy who overdosed on curry powder? He went into a Korma. Speaking of Korma… This is the closest Indian restaurant to my pad/crib, yet I have not been excited to go based on the reviews. The interior is drab and dark, zero points for ambiance. The waiter and staff were dressed down in equally dark and drab jeans and polo shirts matching the décor. We were the only customers in the restaurant, things not looking good here. We ordered the Thali plates, which came out quickly. Maybe it was because my expectations were low that I found myself pleasantly surprised with the food. Overall really good flavor. The naan bread was perfect, the Thali was great in terms of quality of selection and quantity provided. I would definitely consider take out from here again, but will probably not make this a regular stop for dinner out.

This is the worst eating place in Atlanta area. Following was the experience. We went to have dinner as a family. 1. They did not take our order on a timely manner. 2. They had some very weird pricing options. T 3. hey did not refill water until we requested to them. 4. We discovered that the waitress who was screaming at us was an illegal immigrants employed by the restaurant owner. he manager and the waiter were very rude. They screamed at the top of their voice when we had little children on the dinner table. The screaming was so loud and then the manager called some guy from the parking lot to intimidate and threaten us, we did not have a choice but to call the COPS. When they came to know that the COPS had been called, the guy from the street and the waitress just fled . This is a horrible place to eat. If you want to spent good time with your family or for friends, this is not a place for decent persons. I will never go there again.

Ordered the lamb curry, spicy. Came nicely spice, the hot that makes you sweat, but not burn the tongue. Perfect. The curry was a bit more tomato base than usual for my experience, but good nonetheless. Comes with just a choice of rice or nan so I ordered both. For beer, Taj Mahal of course. Service was quick and cheerful. Worth a visit.

Allow me to preface my review with this: I love Indian food. I eat a lot of Indian food, and a lot of different types of Indian food. I cook Indian food. Really, I love Indian food. This may have been the single most disgusting Indian meal I have ever consumed, and I don’t use that line lightly. This meal may have even been worse than the Sodexo-crafted Indian-themed monstrosities served at my company’s cafeteria. At least when I eat their food it doesn’t leave me with the horrible sensation one gets after eating a meal that has been sitting in slightly warm oil for far too long. I had the buffet lunch(approx $ 10) and tried the gobi 65, spinach pakora, goat curry, and chicken tikka masala. After the first bite I knew immediately that I should have stopped. The gobi 65 was made of nothing but chicken fat and far too much breading and the spinach pakora had been fried to death. However, against my better judgement I continued. For some reason, I went back for an over-salted goat curry and a surprisingly bland chicken tikka masala. There are a number of great Indian restaurants in Atlanta. This is not one of them. If you find yourself at this restaurant, my advice is to leave immediately. If that isn’t an option, I would personally rather go hungry. And by the way? The naan is so drenched in oil that is isn’t a viable alternative to starving. The interior of restaurants usually doesn’t matter to me, but in case it matters to you guys, the inside was dimly lit and sparsely decorated. The server was more interested in the soap opera on TV than doing any serving.(To be fair, this didn’t really bother me as I had the buffet.) Abhiruchi Indian Cusine is located between Smash Burger and Café Saigon, both of which are better alternatives. If you have never had Indian food before, there are a number of good places in Decatur.

Great value lunch in the Windward area. Many choices. Notable things to try: dosa, biryani, chicken tikka masala, and my favorite: gulab jamun! I’ll return the next time I feel the urge to gorge on Indian food coming on.

This place has improved. It used to be awesome under the name Spice Touch, then degraded quite a bit under new management and is now turning around(presumably under new mgmt and a new name, again). I was there this memorial day and they had a special buffet. My wife is a vegeterian and expressed disappointment that there were very few veg items. The chef heard and prepared mutter paneer immediately, to address the concen — that was truly great service and the food quality was just simply delish — meats and deserts specially.

Checked this place out for the afternoon buffet. Now, I’m no expert on Indian food, so I unfortunately can not provide too many names of what I ate. Impressions: The space was what you’d expect in a strip mall outside the city. Pretty functional. The lunch buffet is a pretty good deal at $ 7.99. They offer upward of 20 different dishes(not including bread, chutney, etc). There was a nice contingent of vegetarian dishes, but also some meaty stuff too. All chicken, I believe. The chicken marsala was particularly tasty. They featured three or four curries. I sampled most, and found them very satisfying. They had a little heat, but the coolness of the various chutneys posed a nice foil. Of the chutney I had, I was fond of the one that seemed to be mint and yogurt based. When I visit an ethnic restaurant, one of my goals is to eat a meal that I can’t reproduce at home. I can say that Abhiruchi achieved this feat. The flavor profiles of all the food was distinctly Indian. There were hints of ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon throughout. Another sign of a decent ethnic restaurant, ethnic folks actually eat there. During our meal, many people of Indian descent came and enjoyed meals too. It leads me to believe they steer a bit more toward the authentic. Some downsides: – My water stayed empty for the rest of the meal after I finished the first glass. Not a big deal, but it’s something. – Food temperature. I’m not quite sure the hot food was kept at the mandated 140 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m young with a relatively strong immune system, but still… that could be dangerous for anyone. Abhiruchi is much too far away to enter my regular dining rotation, but I would definitely return there for another meal should I happen to be up that way.

This place popped up in a Google search for food delivery places in Alpharetta but when I called to inquire, they said they don’t deliver. I really wanted the food to come to me, but my craving for Indian spices motivated me enough to drive the 6-ish miles to get there after placing a takeout order. I ordered the Malai Kofta with rice pilaf and the fruit custard. The kid at the register was nice and gave me the naan I ordered for free since it was my first visit to the restaurant. It was unusually cheap at $ 13 for naan, a vegetarian entrée, rice and a dessert. When I got home I discovered there were no utensils included in the takeout bag. Thankfully I was able to salvage some(plus a styrofoam plate) from the breakfast area downstairs in my hotel. The MK tasted good but the rice was straight up white Basmati — nothing pilaf about it. And, the dessert, which included ice cream, was packed in with the hot food, so I’m not sure if it was supposed to be the consistency of soup when I ate it. Pretty cheap for decent Indian food, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place again. BOTTOMLINE: Dine-in.

3 for me says it is on my list for local food. We had the lunch buffet and it was good. Better than many I have tried in NYC. There were enough offerings to satisfy both the veg and non-veg diner. The food was way better than the service and the place was full of people from South Asia from nearby office buildings. I really liked the veg dishes-especially the mushrooms and a different potato dish. I had goat which was well done(goat is very boney but worth digging thru the bones to get the meat). The dosa was fantastic-freshly made and paper thin-i have had so much bad or mediocre dosa(probably made days before it was served) even at top Indian restaurants that now I know what to compare other dosa to thanks to Abhiruchi. I would come here for lunch and just make your requests known-they did deliver when we asked. PS the hot tea is served Indian style with rich milk/half and half steamed in. So remember to ask for the tea black if that is what you want.
