Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I got an oil change from this valvoline about two months ago. Service was quick and efficient and I was pleased when I left.
A couple weeks later, a «low oil pressure» alarm was signaled on my car. I didn’t think much of it, as I had just gotten my car oil changed. Several more weeks past and I decided that something was up. I went to get the car looked at and it turns out there was NO oil in it! Apparently the drain plug was either overtightened or loose, causing all of the oil to leak out. He was amazed that there was no damage to the engine, as am I. Needless to say, my experience at this Valvoline was no where satisfactory. It’s a shame because it is so close and convenient, however, I will confidently say that I will NOT be coming back.

Friendly, quick, professional and not too pushy on the extra services. These guys were great and I would totally come back to them in the future. Also I went on Sunday afternoon and here was no wait. I used the 10 dollar Unilocal coupon as well which was easy.

So I get this Groupon for a Valvoline oil change… Things seem to be going great until I drove off and had to pull off the highway. somehow the reservoir for my windshield wiper fluid was punctured and leaking. It was fine before Valvoline. its been fine since I got the car. I should’ve done my oil change myself like I normally do, but decided to go to Valvoline instead… Bad Idea. Thank god it wasn’t the engine coolant reservoir. I’ll super glue that shit in the morning and I will never go to Valvoline again.

I went to get a quick oil change because I am always busy between work and school; I am never without my car. This place is great for oil changes.
I drove in and ten minutes later it was done. I absolutely recommend anyone who needs an oil change to come here. BUT THAT IS ALL. That’s why they are getting the 2 stars.
The man who worked on my car told me he would check all of the car fluids and the tire pressure w/​the oil change. I thought that was great!
Until he used it to tell me that my transmission was going to start to have problems if I didn’t change the fluid soon. I asked how much it would cost, and then I had to ask again because I because I thought he said 149.99. That is actually what he said. I could buy a new pair of tires for that price!
He also told me that my brake and steering wheel fluids were low as well and to replace it would be 49.99. Again, I can do both for about 20.00.
I don’t trust anyone to touch my car if they try to scare me into a purchase that is absurdly overpriced. Don’t listen to their offers, just get a second opinion and or go somewhere else for anything more than a oil change.

Quick and painless, you can sit right in your car while they change the oil. And coupons through the Unilocal app too :)

These guys are super quick. I’ve gone here twice thusfar, and my whip was in-​and-​out in 15 minutes flat.
I will continue to return here when I require oil changes.

I will be coming here again, for sure. All the guys working here were friendly and they did a good and efficient job with my vehicle. I got a full service oil change and they checked all my fluid levels and tire pressures. They changed the oil and checked all my lights also. Perhaps best of all, I never had to leave my car. It was a drive thru service and it probably took a little over twenty minutes.
The only drawback is the price. I could have gone somewhere else and paid much less for the same service. But other places I went today were packed. One was so booked that the guy suggested I make an appointment for Monday morning! I couldn’t do that. This place was everything I needed, so for that reason I wasn’t too bothered by the $ 60 I paid.
If you have the budget for it, I suggest you check this place out. No appointment needed, you don’t even have to call ahead. Just go by. Dooooooo iiiiit.

good service and does the job quick but you are PAYING for the speed. Compared to other places an oil change is WAY OVERPRICED. Other places charge for my car abouty $ 60 for an oil change, this place charged $ 90 and comparable ‘checks’ and ‘inspections’ Only go if you are truely in a hurry.

I went here today for an oil change and was very pleased with the service.
They were extremely quick and efficient. I was taken right away without any appointment. I did not even have to leave my car the entire time! A woman named Adriana checked me in and was so kind and knowledgable. She did tell me about a few things that my car could use, but was not pushy at all.
She took the time to show me my air filter compared to a new filter and explained the benefits of replacing it. She was extremely thorough and friendly.
I was also able to save $ 10 off of my total bill because of the Unilocal coupon which was very nice!
I will definitely be returning in the future.

Got my oil changed yesterday here for the first time and was very happy. Very quick and convenient. Price is a little high at 39.99 but Unilocal has a $ 7 off coupon so not so bad. The woman Megan checking me in and taking my information was very sweet and pleasant. Like anywhere that changes your oil, they did try to sell me things. They said i needed a new air filter, serpentine belt, and power steering. I appreciated that for both the air filter and the serpentine belt they showed me what mine looked like compared to what they should look like. I declined any service that day and they were not pushy at all about it.
Overall a very good service and ill be going back for my oil changes in the future.

very good attitude. Very friendly and welcoming. I went there to change the Automatic Transmission Fluid of my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. I was worried that only SP-​III should be used for the transmission and the guy named Ebrahim assured me that Max Life ATF is 100% compatible with recommended SP-​III.
It took only 15 minutes and they gave me a discount for $ 15. The total with $ 5 tax was $ 140.

Great place for a quick oil change. Always friendly, usually no wait as there is 3 changing bays, and they never try to push additional services… bonus points here. My car is fairly new so they didn’t have all my required parts (eg. air filter), but if you bring them one from Autozone, etc they’ll put it in for free.
A little pricey so be sure to grab a coupon on their website beforehand. They have coupons on their Foursquare check-​in too which are typically the same value.

Oil change took exactly 10 minutes when there’s no line. At most, the longest lines I’ve seen here were 2 cars deep, but that was during lunch on a weekday.
Price is slightly steeper (~$ 10 more) than other places, but you are paying for the convenience and quality.

The Hoonigan in me screamed, «Why the hell you bringing your car here dude?!?»… Well I had a long drive ahead of me and needed an oil change… this instant! I’m always a little nervous about bringing my car to new shops for maintenance work, even though most places have been pretty good.
Went on a Friday morning. Pretty dead since it was so early. They started on my car right away… I marveled at the efficiency at how they worked on my car. Checking fluids, tire pressure, lights, giving me maintenance suggestions, changing the oil… All done in about 10 mintues! I thought «Wow! That was pretty cool!»… So off I go on my 3 hour car ride to VT… I noticed a slight burning smell when I got to VT, but I just shrugged at it thinking the tech probably spilled some oil in the engine bay.
3 days later I noticed a burning smell was stronger… «Oh shit!»… I drove it for a week trying to figure out what it was. I didn’t notice any leaks, and the smell would come and go depending on how long I was driving. Finally stopped one day and saw an oil leak. Checked the oil plug. Still tight… Oil filter… Bingo… It came loose… I’ve never had an oil leak bringing my cars to the dozens of other shops or doing it myself. It’s honestly not that hard to tighten a friggen oil filter.

This place is great! A little on the expensive side but the convenience is worth it! You pull in and just wait in the car while they change your oil! Plus they changed my windshield wipers! They didn’t try to oversell and just mentioned that I probably needed to change my air filter soon but not immediately. They were nice and took the time to explain the process to me since it was my first time there!
I will be coming back here!

I went here to get an oil change as I was due for one and it was on the way to where I was going. The service was quick and I pretty much sat in my car, answered a couple questions, and picked out what deal I wanted. Everything seemed fine and I would have recommended this place to anyone who asked me where they could get an oil change as it was quick and relatively cheap.
That was maybe August/​September of 2012. In January/​February of 2013, I was driving my friend to a job interview in Providence and I noticed the oil light was on. Checked the oil, it was low, bought some from a gas station, put it in. Seemed fine. On the highway, light came on again. Stopped at a rest area, checked again, was low, bought more oil, put it in, continued on my way. At this point it’s clear something is wrong but I have to get to my friend’s interview on time so essentially, I would drive 10 minutes, get the oil light, add oil, and keep going. This was a pain in the ass as it was probably the coldest day of that winter. If you remember some day in January or February where it was ridiculously cold, this was the day this happened.
Next day I take the car to the mechanic. He fixes it right up. Tells me whoever did the oil change on this car over-​tightened the drain plug or something along those lines, leading to the giant leak. I told him about my trip to Providence and he was shocked my car didn’t have any resulting engine damage. He said when I gave it to him, the car had no oil in it. I guess the leak was that bad.
In any case, I’m not going to get my oil change from here again. I guess it may have just been my car, but thought it would be good to let other people know. Ended up having to pay a couple hundred dollars for what I initially thought was a cheap oil change. And if I hadn’t been adding oil to the car every 10 minutes, I imagine it could have been much worse.
