If you want your first experience on rehearsal night to be a group of mostly underage metal heads, chain smoking and drinking malt liquor, this is your spot. Justin, (who I think has Tourette’s because he rarely stops muttering in long words that he does not know how to use correctly) has managed to cobble together one of the lowest-​end, sub-​par facilities in an already low-​end location. No dedicated parking here, in an already parking deficient neighborhood, so plan on being a few minutes late for rehearsal. And it is a filthy place, reeking of pot, cigarettes and featuring a revolving cast of local drunks, stoners, and screaming dunces who can be found lurking outside the studios as well as jn the street outside, at all hours. The bands rehearsing inside this hole can all hear one another through the thin, crumbling walls. I do not know why the board of health, or the folks who own this property don’t close this place. All of the equipment is in need of repair, the drums they have on-​site have been beaten and abused beyond playable and the folks who staff the place know little to nothing about setting up the gear that they do have. If you want something to convince you, up close, that the music business is a filthy, sketchy thing, here is your proof. Yuck.

I love this place, as I loved the old Music Gym. Great space, good amps, and Justin is one of the nicest people I’ve met in the music industry. I’ll say go there, even though I know it’ll start to infringe on my practice time once this place gets the attention it deserves.
