NEVERAGAIN. I’ve been loyally going for Brazilian waxes at this salon for some time now. They were good while they lasted, but the usual lady, Simone, has stopped working at the salon. This morning I called the salon to make a waxing appointment, but I was met with a disgruntled Korean man(the long blonde-haired man) who answered the phone. I asked if waxing slots were available and he bluntly said«no.» Confused, I asked when Simone would be back, and he didn’t even respond: he simply hung up on me. Furious, I tried to call back, but he ignored the telephone. Once again, I tried to call back, and he answered, but merely put the phone receiver off to the side so I would not try to call back. Later on, I happened to be in the neighborhood(searching for another salon), so I decided to see if I could straighten out the confusion. When my friend and I entered, we were not greeted. After getting the man’s attention, I asked if I had talked to him on the phone earlier. He didn’t give a straight answer, continued to be rude, and gave me no information about why their waxing services had ended. In a fit of anger, I told him and the rest of the customers waiting for their haircuts that they’d lost a loyal customer forever and that I was appalled. Bottom of the line: businesses such as salons only thrive if they have a happy and satisfied costumer base. As a consumer, I will never return to Brazil Hair Salon because I do not think their lack of costumer service(and basic human-to-human decency) deserves my hard-earned money.

This is one of the my best finds in Boston. Nestled along a row of Korean shops in the Allston neighborhood, the plain décor hair salon does a disservice to the mastery of Mr. Lee. At first glance, the Brazilian and Korean flags hanging on the front window threw me off. The salon is joinly operated by Mr. Lee and his Brazilian counterpart. Mr. Lee himself seems out of place, with long flowing blond hair and a muscular build more suitable for a body builder. However, there was no doubt in his skills as he elegantly cut my hair better than I envisioned. I am a very particular person when it comes to haircuts, spending nearly 4 times more money at salons when living in New York. I will have to honestly say Mr. Lee consistently provides me with the best hair cut that I have ever received.
