It’s a chain. The only real thing going for them is their pie. Which is why I love free pie mondays. I rarely go here. Yet I live a stones throw away. I do like to stop and get the day old pie slices on occasion. But overall nothing great.

The food is good, when you get what you order. I don’t eat meat, so I ask for dishes to be prepared without meat. Seems simple enough. I’m always given meat anyhow. I ask again. After that, they scrape the meat off and give it back to me. If that was acceptable, I would do it myself. The service is hideous. It can take an hour to get food. The waitresses hardly check the table. I avoid Perkins.

Nice people little slow food is good. Always enjoy the food here. I tried a sunrise burger it was really good and fries are very good. They just need to hire servers that know the job. We ordered coffee she brought us a pot but didn’t pour the first cup just set it on the table and walked away.

It’s easy to forget about this spot because it is out in the country but it is a good place for breakfast food. For the uninitiated, Perkins is a lot like Bob Evans only I always enjoy their menu selections even more. I’m especially fond of their breakfast menu. When we get hungry for the eggs Benedict we were able to get at a very special diner in near Burlington, Vermont we make our way to this Perkins for their version of eggs Benedict. It is very close to the classic recipe that calls for Canadian bacon and hollandaise sauce. Their sides include good fresh fruit selections and lots of different flavors of muffins. Try the banana nut or chocolate chocolate chip. The place is a lot bigger than it looks so don’t worry if the parking lot is very full of cars; chances are there’s still plenty of room for you!
