Cute café in teensy Allenstown on the main strip. They are only open until 3pm, so don’t try to pop by for dinner because you’ll end up at the ice cream shop a couple of doors down instead(not that this is a bad thing). They serve pretty standard breakfast and lunch fare. Burgers, sandwiches, salads for lunch. I had a chicken sandwich with tomatoes and it came with fries or chips. The sandwich was average good, and the fries were above average good. My coworker ordered the same menu item and they were happy to make modifications for her since she didn’t want the bun and wanted more a salad situation. She also said her tomato soup was delicious. The service was very pleasant and they didn’t kick us out even though we stayed way past closing chatting, so that was very sweet of them. I would absolutely come back here.

Woodys is simply the best. Everyone is always so friendly, and as an Allentown resident, it’s a great place to walk to and get a bite to eat. I’m partial to the western omelet, myself :)

Excellent food and service! My hubby found this restaurant doing a search while driving down I95& not wanting to stop at the rest stops which offer little choices and have high prices. This was easy to access(exit 7A off 95), and well worth the 3 mins off the highway. Service was outstanding, friendly and my coffee never got cold. I ordered the western egg white omelet that was delicious as well as the rye toast. My hubby and I shared French toast, and the small order was large and again … Wonderful! He ordered an egg white omelet with many fillings, cooked to perfection and a side of corn beef hash. Prices are really good too. We loved our visit. Thank you for the delicious food!

This is homey style diner. A plate could definitely fill you up and the atmosphere is very country like. The servers are the aunty age so they might sound a bit rude but indeed that are very attentive and friendly. I would come back for breakfast or brunch specially before hitting the outlet that’s 15 minutes away.

This is a quaint little place in a quaint part of town with the best. THEBEST Reuben I’ve had in a very long time. The bread was amazing, the meat and everything else on the sandwich were just wonderful. The person with me had he same feelings on their food. I didn’t like the tea but it wasn’t bad, I’m just picky. The folks working were very nice and attentive and I have no problem returning to try more of their tasty breads!

Just took our friends to Woody’s for a birthday breakfast ! Started out with toasted Woody Rolls with butter, yum. Next fresh fruit bowls followed by delicious omelettes, French toast & corned beef hash ! We tried it all and it was delicious ! Our waitress was great bringing refills to our coffee & teas. My friend said that Woody’s is her new favorite place. Always like to support a local business.

The Borough of Allentown is about as picturesque as an old Jersey village can be in the 21st Century. Main Street is lined with three hundred year old houses and strapping oaks and sycamores that have been spreading their roots since before we were an independent nation. The stream that runs near the middle of town is the same that drew people here originally when a mill was constructed to take advantage of water power to grind the grain grown in nearby fields. Woody’s hasn’t been here that long, but it sit in a building that was. So, walking inside feels a lot like stepping back in time. The space is comforting in a low ceiling, window on the street, kind of way; and the folks who work there are as friendly as they were when talk of rebellion spread like wildfire back in the day. The room is bustling with local customers having breakfast with friends, family and business associates. I sat at the counter and enjoyed my first mug of coffee of the day. My server easily engaged me in conversation and knew the history of the café when I asked. The big mirror behind the counter allowed for observing everyone in the house without turning head. I liked this place immediately. I ordered French Toast and was pleased when it arrived thick sliced and well grilled, prepared with Vanilla and Cinnamon within the egg mix. While the edges were not fully caramelized as I prefer, it was still a solid offering. That a bottle of Log Cabin Syrup came up from under the counter was also a pleasant surprise, as it is so much better than the small prepackaged corn syrup that most retail kitchens provide. The coffee was refilled regularly and was a good bean blend. Even the milk for the coffee came in a small aluminum pitcher after being filled from the bottle. Woody’s could easily become a favorite breakfast stop, but for it being beyond my normal range of travel. Still, I will check it out for lunch soon, and report back to you. This places feels very good!

Woody’s is a staple in Allentown. I’ve been eating breakfast and lunch here since I was a kid, I always make sure to visit when I’m back in Jersey. Honestly you can’t beat their pork roll sandwich or their prices. The servers are friendly, the food is always warm and filling. It can get busy, especially after school or church so make sure to beat the rush if you want a table.

Listen, If you want a «fancy dancy OMG I’ve never had anything this exquisite in my life» type meal don’t stop here. However, if you want a local spot that feel like you’re privileged to be here because it’s been here for years, and you suddenly have become one of the cool kids who’s aloud to eat here then stop by. The lunches are fantastic! Chicken Salad w/Bacon on a Woody Roll, Cheesesteaks, and most sandwiches are fantastic, but where this place shines is on lazy weekend mornings when you can stroll in and usually wait for a table(staring at those already sitting and silently telling them to get up so you can sit) where you can order unbelievable omelets, fluffy pancakes, and great copious amounts of breakfast meats… HELLO…BTW in lieu of toast please request the WOODYROLL… If you’re reading reviews and people are complaining about breakfast, well then… they’re just jerks… because breakfast is pretty simple… and if at Woody’s, pretty tasty also, ENJOY.

Woody’s is one of my favorites and I’m not from Allentown. I’m not even from Jersey. Anytime we’re up in the Northeast, we have to make a stop in for Woody’s! I love love love the corned beef hash! It’s SO good.(Especially with some over easy eggs!) And I never knew what pork roll was until I ate at Woody’s! Get the pork roll, egg, & cheese! The service is always great & speedy! And the food is always consistent. I’ll see you again soon, Woody’s!

Good quick food — just not great food — still too much grease to eat here everyday, or even every week.

When we moved to Allentown we initially started going here for breakfast. Unfortunately this place did not impress. Sit down breakfast is ok, and to go egg sandwiches are underwhelming. How can a bacon, egg and cheese be bad??? We don’t go to Woody’s anymore unless it’s an emergency.

This place has been around for a while and Woody himself still cooks. Allentown is over 300 years old and has that old historic small town feel. No truth to the rumor that Woody fed George Washington and his troops. Now for the food, breakfast is great here been here a few times and never had anything that wasn’t really tasty! Lunch: Awesome cheesesteaks chicken or beef, get it on a Woody roll you won’t be disappointed. Small place maybe 10 tables and a counter that seats like 8. The locals love it so it’s got some street cred :-) The only problem with this place is that they close at 2:30pm.
