OK, so this is my second time here. We came back because the food was so yummy the first time. This time, it is a business dinner. Their portions are generous and reasonably priced. My chicken Francese was good, albeit(unfortunately) quite salty.(Thus contributing to the 3 stars.) The server is quite sweet, but needs training on efficiency and customer awareness. Had to ask for water repeatedly. Forgot the chicken with the pasta and brought it quite late after the pasta was served. Now, one would think that the restaurant would take the patron’s plate back to the kitchen, fix it as requested and uh… warm it up! Nonetheless, the food here is good and the people are nice. So yes, I do recommend this restaurant.

Taste of Italy has always been one of my favorite restaurants and I took my mom there tonight to celebrate her birthday, however I was completely disappointed with their lack of service and professionalism. While the food was decent, the service was AWFUL. Apparently they do not know how to manage time and they took reservations on a day where they were hosting an event for 90 people and because of this we were rushed through everything from the moment we walked in the door — the first comment of oh great your party is one less than what was booked now we can squeeze you in over here because we have an event to host at 830(in other words they were telling us that they needed us to be done as soon as possible). The waitress was very abrupt and stalked our table to see when we finished the last bite on one plate so she could run over and get rid of it before we could even swallow and even went as far as taking a glass right from someone’s hand before it was even finished. She forgot to ask what type of pasta was wanted with a dish and instead of walking over to the table to confirm just yelled at us from 10 feet away to see what we wanted. Before we were even done eating the waitress asked in passing if we wanted takeout boxes and before we could answer took it upon herself to decide that we needed them and dropped them off at the table before we were done eating. Now I will have to find a new favorite place where all business is appreciated and service is always exceptional. I’m very disappointed in you Taste of Italy.

Stopped in Sunday evening, May 1st with a good friend. We sat at the bar, just 2 other people sitting farther down. We were greeted right away and offered drinks. Anna had a cocktail(I forget what, but she liked it), and I had a Yuengling. Then we ordered 2 apps — the stuffed mushrooms and the shrimp limoncello. We were also given warm bread with the oil & spices, plus butter. Everything was excellent! A friendly bartender and a funny waitress kept us smiling. A great visit in what’s turned into a really nice establishment. The renovations turned the pizza counter into this lovely bar.

Come for the Soup, Stay for the Tiramisu!!! Italian Wedding Soup, that is!!! When we are in the area, «TASTE’ is a definite stop. We have had a Definitive Check List of Take Home Musts. AND i must mention, even if it will come as a shock, Their Pizza Rivals Gaetano’s!!! Garlic Knobs added to our Meatballs Recipe, make them a take home list Favorite! Italian Wedding Soup is as good as my Aunt Louise’s, God Rest Her Soul. Their PIZZAS, Yes, Pizzas are all well made and i have never had a problem with having any of their Pizzas go the Grilled Cheese Route. Mussels, did i mention MUSSELS… Oh My God should sum that up. We have never had a problem when we have dined in or taken it away. With the changes that have occurred in our diets, they have been very accommodating NOWSOMEGOODNEWS. Taste of Italy has added an actual Bar, Cocktails are prepared by Bartenders, not Cooks, Short Order Cooks, Waiter/Waitress or Dishwashers who can read or follow instructions from a Bartender’s Guide. My Martinis came fast and as ‘Dirty’ as i wanted them. My Wife tells me: A Taste of Italy has become very busy! i will be back soon. Ignore my Check In Count, i do.

Been a couple times and the food is consistently good. The staff can be hit or miss, but are typically friendly and attentive. The remodel has definitely made it look more modern. They have a great happy hour. Though I would change how the Calamari and Mozzarella Carrazzo are served. They come with marinara on the side and on the plate, which definitely makes the deep fried appetizers soggy on the bottom. The pizza is pretty good but there are better options elsewhere. However their entrees are great — tasty with hearty portions. The Crab Cake Vodka with risotto is delicious! And my husband loves their chicken especially the Chicken Cacciatore.

I love it when a great restaurant is in a strip mall. Quick, friendly and attentive service, pleasant atmosphere, delicious food(had the broccoli alfredo and a salad with an incredible homemade Italian dressing) and generous portions. Will be back to try something else next time we’re in town!

Odd location, but good food. Seemed to be a lot of happy hour patrons at the hour we arrived. Service was cheery and the portions quite good. Margherita pizza was fresh, family’s pasta dishes were devoured. Prices are quite reasonable.

I wasn’t terribly impressed. We had been going from place to place, looking for a «not so long» wait at a decent restaurant, and settled on this place. When you look around, you think, «wow, nice place.» And of course you expect the food to match the restaurant. I’ll go so far as to say that I was disappointed. I mean, it wasn’t awful, but the quality fell short. My chicken parm was soggy, probably from sitting in watery sauce. That is the only thing I can remember about it. My dining partner thought his meatballs had been prepared from frozen. Service was a bit slow at first, but that’s probably because the restaurant was packed. Ambiance is casual but subdued, even though the interior is very nice and just looks more formal. Overall, it was a good place because it was late and I was hungry. Just too underwhelming to warrant another visit unless I’m in the same situation.

We decided that we wanted a break from our regular pizza joint, and we were looking for good pizza delivery in the area. We liked that this place was willing to deliver to us, despite the long wait. We decided to try a plain pizza and some cheese fries. Both were fine, but neither were delicious. The fries are clear coated, which is not my preference. The cheese fries are fries with melted mozzarella. Not my thing either. I’m a wiz girl, always. On a side note, their was a nice amount of cheese. We ordered the pizza well done. It came and was not well done at all. The pizza itself was cheesy and seasoned well, but I hated the sauce. There was too much and it tasted more like tomato paste than sauce. The crust was thin and crispy, but not chewy like I prefer. As for service, there was good and bad. Delivery took a long time, even though it was early. As it was delivered, we received plain fries and a pizza that was not cooked to our liking. The«well done» request was not on our receipt, so that may be service rather than food preparation. We called to let them know about the fries and we were told they would send the right ones out. 1 hr and 15 mins later we got them. While I appreciate the gesture, who wants fries and hr after they ate dinner? I would have prefer a comp of some type. Overall, the food is so so and the service is ehh. I’m not sure that we would eat with them again. Unfortunately, only a few places in the area deliver, so there is a chance.

This was a very cozy place, with some nice Happy Hour Specials. The staff was super friendly and you feel well taken care of. Everyone I dealt with was smiling and very nice. I had the calamari for an appetizer and a wedding soup. Soup was tasty but the meat balls were sparse and small. Lots of leafy greens though. I also tried a Vodka Sauce Dish with Shrimp, tasted very plain and the shrimp wasn’t as crisp as it should be. All in all the food was ok nothing to write home about, If I do return it would be due to the experience, and I would probably try the pizza.

I can not say anything but GREAT things about this place. When we arrived no one was at the hostess station, but when I peeked around the corner was immediately felt welcomed! My daughter and I were seated but my sister wanted to sit at the bar since we were celebrating. Vicky, our Bartender, was the bomb!!! She was energetic, knowledgeable about the menu and served us the BEST sangria I have ever had! She was personable, funny and made you felt like we were home! And she remembered each of our names :-) EVERY entrée, appetizer and even the salad was impeccable!!! I couldn’t finish… portions plentiful… delicious… a wonderful experience in all!!! Highly recommend!!!

This place has gone downhill. We dined here a few years ago for dinner and had a fairly positive experience but this last time was negative in more than one aspect. We came for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was a large party that just finished and was leaving when we arrived. We waited a long time before being acknowledged by anyone and finally after about 7 minutes we were seated. It was almost empty, maybe three other tables in the whole restaurant. Our waiter came by and brought us drinks and then said he would be back to take our order. We waited at least fifteen minutes. He came back to tell us he would be thirty more seconds and then disappeared for another five minutes. He took our order, and we asked if we get bread. He said yes but it would be a while because they bake it fresh. Ok great but we’ve been sitting here for almost a half hour now. Why didn’t you have them pop that bread in the oven when we were seated? Ok well whatever. So, I ordered the panzanella(salad) and an entrée — chicken parm. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna. We had a coupon for $ 7 off two entrees so he had to put the order in so that instead of being a lunch dish, my meal was a dinner dish which came with a side salad. So he said he would box up the side salad for us to take home so I could have my panzanella as well. But, my boyfriends meal came with a salad anyway, which he never brought out. So, after an excruciatingly long time we got our food. The panzanella came out first since it was a salad. It was ok. I don’t have much to compare it to, I’ve only ever had panzanella at bonefish grill and that was awful. The menu said this came with basil, however, and there was no basil in my salad. Too bad, because without it, it was flavorless despite the balsamic vinegar. Then our entrees came out and I was disappointed with presentation. I love presentation — if the food looks good, I wanna eat it. If it doesn’t, then I don’t. This looked… Careless. It could have used some green… Basil or oregano or something. It didn’t look restaurant quality which is disappointing because we’ve not had this experience in the past. The flavor was okay. Nothing to write home about. After dinner, we waited a long time for the check and then when we gave the waiter our card he was gone for a LONG time. I feel very uncomfortable allowing anyone to have my bank card unaccompanied for so long. Like, we WILL be checking our balance religiously for quite a while now. The waiter said it was because they were making the side salads fresh and that might have been true but do NOT keep a guests card for so long! Unacceptable! Also, when we ordered our drinks the waiter clapped my boyfriend on the shoulder. I thought that was weird. Don’t touch the patrons! He must have been new to food service in general I think. When we eat here, I think we will stick to ordering take out — pizza and strombolis. We always like those!

Avoid this place at all costs for carry out. Nobody should have a single bad experience at any one place, but twice out of two times? I ordered pesto with chicken and broccoli but they forgot the chicken and broccoli. Twice! Wtf?

Pizza, calzone, garlic knots, and stuff like that are great! I order to go all the time or have lunch here. The marinara sauce is horrible! Taste like tomato soup! Salads are OK nothing great. Pasta dishes are OK, nothing exceptional to me. The new décor is really nice, but the dining area is still tight. Bar like great though! To me, this place is more of an up scale pizzeria. Servers are nice, but seem to be a bit forgetful at times. My score is based on the lunch and simple pizzeria foods. I never sat at the new bar yet, but plan to. The atmosphere is nice.

When my international colleagues were in town, we took turns taking them out for dinner… they had already had«American» food and wings, and half the group didn’t like spicy foods, so I decided Italian would probably do okay. And it was, thanks to the great staff at Taste of Italy! Despite a lot of questions about the menu and ingredients, they were friendly & so very helpful. While it’s not the best Italian food I’ve ever had, it was pretty good, and the fact that they have a bar is definitely a bonus(and some great happy hour specials). We had a slight mix up on our bill, and the manager came over very quickly and got it fixed for us, all with a smile. I really enjoyed my chicken piccata and the tiramisu. I’ll put Taste of Italy on our rotation!

Arriving late at the Residence Inn, the front desk recommended Taste of Italy and called ahead to confirm that the kitchen is open. The front desk advised us that we would get a 10% discount for showing hotel room key. We arrived about 9:30PM and the two of us loaded up. Stuffed mushrooms, shrimp limoncello, shrimp & crabmeat portabella, frutti di mare, italian wedding soup, salad … not bad for two. It will take me a few days to digest. We got friendly service. Downside: Boring wine selection, so we skipped wine and flushed down a few Peroni.
