OMG the best sandwiches in the valley, I love coming here, the shrimp and steak is amazing, the place kinda creepy from the outside but you must try it out, give it a try you will not be sorry, very cheap prices too.

I have visited this place many times when visiting friends in Hellertown. It is an ABSOLUTE must to eat here. I would call this place a «dive-ish» sandwich spot because from the outside you wouldn’t think the work of art comes from that kitchen. The sandwiches look basic but are far from it. I usually get the aire, tierra, y mar which means air, land and sea. It is so delicious and tasty that one is never enough. When possible I have taken one to go. The décor inside is non existent but trust me, don’t worry about décor. Go here simply for the sandwiches. I would recommend to everyone and anyone in the area. The people that work here are pretty helpful if you have questions but be ready to wait a little for the food. They make it fresh so it takes a little while. Either way, stop by and enjoy!

Food is delicious, also helps that it’s about 20 steps from my house. Prices are fair, they do take out. This review is based solely off their food, I’ve had most of the menu and it’s all been great. Been a regular about once a month since they’ve opened and it’s been good since.

Authentic, tasty, deliciouso! Don’t be intimidated by the sense that if you don’t speak or read Spanish you are not welcome! They will take all US currency in any denomination!!. The Cubans are fantastico!

Food coma. Seriously good food coma. That’s what you’re getting yourself into when you decide to venture here. My bistec con huevo sandwich was the size of a small baby. 9 – 10 inches for those who want specifics. So maybe the size of a small premature baby… Don’t judge, I’m writing this mid-coma, it may or may not be coherent. Parking is easy enough with several spots available. Not much of a sit down area inside as the tables were more bar style. The place is clean. The door into the storage/pantry area was open so I took a peek. Everything was organized & clean, no random things on the floor. A giant menu overhead is in Spanish and English but no prices listed. However there is a corkboard to the right of the counter that has little menus tacked up with pictures & prices. Most are $ 5 – 6 with a few $ 7 – 8 for the big ones combining seafood & meats. The bread is fresh and crusty(I have a feeling they’re from Egypt Star bakery), the meats well seasoned, and the toppings are perfect complements all combined for some seriously good eat. The tripleta sandwich my sister had was also delicious. The usual toppings are lettuce, tomato, cheese, and mayo, but we opted only the first two. It’s good. So good. I’m already contemplating a return kind of good. P. S. Also has a lot of jugos naturales, or fresh juices, and they’re delish. Not so sure about them being fresh squeeze kind of juices since I got the quanabana(soursop — can’t exactly squeeze those LOL), but it was so refreshing! Plenty of other exotic fruits are available as well as the regular orange, lemon, mango, etc… juices.

These sandwiches are awesome. The location… terrible. The décor… terrible. The food makes it all worth while. You want a delicious pressed sandwich? Head there. Be brave and park the car, be brave and go in, and your bravery will be rewarded… mmmmmmm.

El punto = el delicioso! Hiding behind an unassuming exterior in a not so great neighborhood in East Allentown, you’ll find La Sandwichera El Punto — home of some of the tastiest and filling sandwiches in the area. These are simple but absolutely delicious hot panini-style sandwiches at very affordable prices, around $ 5 — $ 6 on average. They offer a wide variety of choices from every food group — steak, pork, chicken, fish, various deli meats and egg(not too sure about the vegetarian options). Most of the menu is in Spanish but if you’re unsure, just ask! The Cubans sammies are very good but my favorite by far is the almighty tripleta. It’s a delectable sandwich made with pulled pork, ham and chicken together with cheese, mayo and everything else that is good in this world that is dripping of delicious warm grease. Mmmm!!! Again, the exterior looks a bit uninviting and the inside is definitely scanty with very few places to sit and eat but don’t be deterred, dear reader. Your fortitude will be rewarded. Just do takeout and prepare yourself for some serious good eats.
