First time takeout order. 4 pizzas… Excellent pies. Not greasy and flavor was outstanding. Pizza with green pepper was tasty and the cheese pizza was perfect! I will order here again.

I went in for a slice. They had several different ones to choose from. I ordered the one I wanted and couldn’t believe how small it was!!! I go to pay for it $ 3.55 for a tiny piece of pizza. I really wouldn’t have minded if it was out of this world but it really wasn’t good at all. I will not be going back there anytime soon!!!

The pizza was ok. I’m looking forward to trying other shops since I’m new to the area — I feel like there might be a better choice out there. The sauce was a little too sweet and I could do without the cornmeal overload on the bottom and crust. I thought it was the perfect thickness and amount of cheese. We also ordered a tomato, basil, garlic pie — a bit pricey. But highly recommend. Next time I will ask them to cook it a bit longer.

Came during my dorney park trip. Ordered a cheesesteak for myself n chicken tenders for my son n fries to split. Within 4mins I get my sandwhich but nothing for my son. Wait 10mins n his food comes out. My steak is now cold n his food is so hot he still cant eat it. Not very happy about this, the guy says sorry… we only have one deep fryer working…

The cheesesteak was fabulous. The meat was finely chopped, which I love.
The pizza is amazing. The sauce for the pizza has a nice sweetness to it.

Stopped in by Sal’s in the way to our hotel downtown, for a quick bite. The service was fast and we enjoyed the Sicilian and Margherita Slices, along with a Garden Salad.
I pizza crust was just right; i.e. not too thin. And the salad was fresh.

I wanted this to be a great hoagie… It was ok.
Stopped here on the way back from new york on our way home to new jersey. Based on the reviews we decided to exit the turnpike and pick up some dinner to take home. The sandwich was lacking flavor, and to top it off the six pack of beer i bought had a different brand of bottles in it!!! Im 80 miles away now and have a really crappy beer!!! I really wish they would have said something about there being different brands in the carriers. It wasn’t even close!!! There was was no sign or anything. It was a real bummer. We only had the sandwiches, their other food may very well be worth the high ratings, and if you get take-​out, double check the bottles inside the carton!!!

Sal’s pizza is a great place to visit if you’re in the area and its close proximity to Dorney Park should make this place a popular destination for anyone looking for a cheap yet sapid alternative to the ridiculously priced food at Dorney Park and other popular tourist attractions.
Special mention must go to the customer service. The entire staff was exceedingly genial and made our short visit here one of the highlights of our day
Will definitely make sure to come here again on any future trip to PA and will advise others to do the same.

Just tried Sal’s pizza for the first time and it is amazing!!! I’m an extra cheese kinda girl for my pizza, and boy do they! The crust is absolutely amazing !! New favorite pizza shop in Allentown !

Let me be the first to say, I love Sal’s. Every time I’ve eaten there, the atmosphere was more then welcoming and the service was top-​notch. I thoroughly enjoy sharing a pie with some of my best friends at Sal’s.
The reason I’m giving this four out of five stars is because I have had better pizza. Sal’s pizza is good but for me, it’s not the best. That also goes for their cheese steaks, pierogies, and chicken fingers and fries. All of which I’ve tasted before. They’re good, just nothing to brag about.
Nonetheless, it’s nice to know this place is still around. Whenever I’m in town, I can stop by and grab a slice to go!

We ordered pizza and wings and also grabbed some beer here one night. They have a really great selection of beer! The service is very friendly, unlike our usual pizza joints and I really enjoyed that!
Now the food… for me the pizza was yummy and I wanted to eat the whole pie. My bf on the other hand (has lousy pizza tastes!) thought the pizza had too many onions (idk how that’s possible?!?). We both agreed that we would prefer the onions slightly charged and there was a tad too much cornmeal, hence 4 stars. The wings were also enjoyed by my picky wing-​eater bf, so that’s a plus! I’d eat here again if I can convince my bf, but perhaps a plain pizza and wings.
