No, don’t do it! You will regret it. If you do, make sure it’s loaded with spicy sauce and your half in the bag, so you won’t care! I just don’t understand all the positive reviews??? We ordered the Hunan Special, Happy Family, Pork Egg Rolls and Vegetable Fried rice. Everything tasted horrible! Especially the Happy Family, it had an off taste of freezer burn and old vegetables. The meat was very grisly and also took on the freezer burn flavor. There were these things that were supposed to be mushrooms but mostly resembled miniature brains, bean sprouts were limp and lifeless, some of the carrots were cut into tiny squares and some were shaped like a small baby carrots. It was like they cleaned out the freezer of all the old food and mixed it all together. The only things that crunched were the water chestnuts. The lobster was like a watery rubber band, and the chicken, beef, pork and shrimp were all very low quality. All I can say is, all of «It“went in the garbage can! I never throw food away but when in doubt, throw it out! We didn’t want to feel sick. What a waste of $ 40 dollars, our time and we were still hungry! The Hunan Special was almost edible because the spicy sauce masked the freezer flavor. The egg rolls and complimentary rice were about the only thing that were halfway palatable. The Vegetable fried rice also had a very«off» taste. Needless to say, were NEVER going back. There is a very fine Asian food restaurant further up 222 that blows this restaurant out of the water and there prices are about the same or slightly higher depending on what you order. This review was written by a person that can eat just about anything, from Hot dogs to Crab legs to Brussels sprouts to corn on the cob to clams to steak to hummus to chimichanga to spanakopita to well you get the point.

I believe this place is under new ownership. First, the gentlemen doing the cooking(I would not refer to him as a cook); he was wearing a skin tight«wife beater» t-shirt with armpits exposed and pants with an unbuckled belt and what looked like slippers! The two girls were making cheese wontons at the counter with their bare hands, while cooking up food, packaging and handling the register. The food was horrible! The oil for the egg rolls was way over due for a change. I couldn’t even stomach the horrible grease taste. It actually had a slight fishy taste on top of the old grease. The steamed dumplings were horrific! They weren’t even cooked properly, with gooey dough. Ditched those, too. And the shrimp fried rice was Meh. Very cheap ingredients for sure and minimal shrimp. Stomached a few bites, then that got trashed, as well. BTW, the previous 5-star review from Cheng Y, with the nice plated picture of food… she was the one making the wontons! That review is what compelled me to try this place again, which is why I felt compelled to leave a real review.

My wife says, «Shockingly good» Chinese take out. I say flavorful, plentiful, and enjoyable. Fresh. Pleasant service. We have enjoyed eggplant with garlic sauce, chicken with broccoli, vegetable spring roll, sesame noodles, and veggie lo mein. Ask for a bit of extra sauce on sesame noodles. And I love hot oil on the side to spice things up when I feel like that.

Finally found a good and affordable Chinese place. The food is fresh and tastes great. The employees don’t look at you funny when you ask for extra soy sauce or fried noodles for the soup. I appreciate that! I’ve been in the Valley for 7 years tried 20+ Chinese take outs but this one is the best.

Pretty good decently priced. Gave it a three because I got delivery and they forgot my white rice and Gyoza dipping sauce, also because I got the tom yum which is good but EXTREMELY spicy. I love spicy food and I could barely eat it.

Probably my go to place for Chinese take out. OK probably my go to place for takeout. They have generous portions and everything always taste like it was prepared fresh for my order. It always seams like this place is operated by a family. The staff seams to have fun with each other, and there children are sometimes sitting at a table playing games or doing homework. They have been in business at the same location for a long time, since I was young, and my family has been patronizing them ever since. And for a good reason, good food, good portions, and good friendly service.

Great food for a decent price. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I always get take out so I can’t speak to how their delivery service or dine in experience is. Despite there being plenty of competition for Chinese food places, this place is always my go to and the one I recommend to everyone.

Food is always hot, fresh and taste good. They will deliver anything from as little as one lunch special to ten + and in a reasonable amount of time. Just remember to ask for sauces on the side, if you don’t ask, you won’t get them.

As a broke college student, I need a place that delivers either pretty late or really early(or even later, in college terms). This place always delivers delicious food and is very nice. They couldn’t find the building I was at on campus yet continued to find me, unlike the other places that made me walk to the end of my campus for them(rude). The people who own this place are very nice and have great memory. I recommend the shrimp with peppers and tomatoes.

It’s is my go-to Chinese takeout joint off I’m not looking for buffet. It’s everything you’re looking for in take out and nothing you aren’t.

Foo Joy has definitely set the bar for takeout around the Allentown Area. While the inside of their shop is rather daft and old in appearance, you aren’t there for that by any means. The food is amazing, and their service is out of the field. They delivered about 7 miles out to the business I work at for free and the order I placed was as received. I got the lunch special for General Tso chicken with the hot and sour soup. First impression on the hot and sour soup: It’s actually got a bit of a kick to it. It’s quite gelatinous and is packed with tofu, Chinese vegetables, and mushrooms. Best I’ve had in the valley so far at this point. As far as the General Tso chicken is, I asked for them to make it so spicy it hurts and even though it wasn’t as spicy as I was expecting they definitely tried hard. The chicken is tender with a super crispy outside, broccoli is cooked just right, and the pork fried rice actually has some flavor to it. I will buy from here again in a heartbeat. Total cost before tip for the lunch special and two quarts of wonton soup was $ 12.67. Can’t beat that! I’ll buy for my office any day at this price.

Any Chinese food place that has large faded photos that span the entire restaurant complete with taped-over prices means that you get what you pay for; so I certainly wasn’t disappointed with the $ 3.25(small) serving of General Tso’s tofu, which was huge, gooey, and tasty. Hot & Sour soup was tasty and tangy, pretty average and highly gelatinous. The Moo Shu vegetable was decent — but we had to ask for our plum sauce and that’s almost the best part of Moo Shu. They have a good selection of vegetarian options. We recommend take out because that’s what they expect and the woman was surprised we wanted to eat in and didn’t want to deal with us. Also there was some serious ‘backstage’ office work going on at one of the other tables where the(maybe) owners were doing paperwork and having loud conversations in very animated Chinese. There was a plastic army man on one of the other tables. He was cool.

Decent chinese takeout. Not as slick as Mi Chongs but it does the trick this part of town. The lunch specials are pretty cheap; $ 5.25 for fried rice, a main, and soup or spring roll. The portions are quite sizeable; my friend and both ended up boxing up our leftovers for another meal. I tried the Kung Pao chicken while he had the General Tso’s chicken. The Kung Pao chicken was a disappointment. Not at all spicy or flavorful. The General’s chicken was pretty darn good. I would order that next time. The pork fried rice that came with the lunch special was quite tasty; it definitely made the trip worth it. I was starving when i ordered so that might have an effect on how the food tasted. Will probably return once more for a follow up. Maybe the food will be better, maybe it won’t hold up. Update: I went again recently and tried the Wonton soup, fried rice and chicken and broccoli. The Wonton Soup broth was very tasty. A surprise especially since they claim they don’t use any MSG. The Wontons were a disappointment. The skin was thick and tough — it was like pizza dough. I ended up eating the inside and leaving the skin in the bowl. The Wontons were also ice cold when I bit into them, which means they were pre-cooked and put in the fridge, only to be released into the semi-boiling cauldron when I ordered a Wonton soup. Boo. The fried rice was decent, the chicken and broccoli OK. It had the thick brown sauce which they cook beef and broccoli with, which I wish I’d known before cause then I would’ve ordered it with a light garlic sauce. Much lighter and tastier I feel. Hunan Springs does it the latter. A Hispanic lady came in at the same time as me and ordered the chicken and broccoli. No big deal. She then proceeded to have an argument with her man about his loser job on her cell phone at approximately 80 dBs. Fairly entertaining but after 10min it got painful. If you enjoy this kind of thing, do a sit down meal in Foo Joy. Otherwise do takeout.
