Big Woody’s Pizza & Sports Bar

Called to place an order at 11:20am for delivery. The person that answered the phone was nothing more than RUDE. The answer to a customer should never be I can’t do anything for you because the oven doesn’t open until 12. If you wanted to save a customer I would suggest maybe explaining to the customer that you would be happy to take an order but you wouldn’t be able to deliver until 1:00 if that was the case. Food has always been fine, nothing to brag about, but the customer service falls short; sorry. Called Jack’s Pizza and we are glad to go and pick it up.

I used to go there. But the food has gone down hill. The wings are dried out! And the pizza is the worst in the Lehigh valley. The pizza usually sit out for a day before the make a new one to sell. And the workers are not the brightest. I feel like I’m at a homeless shelter eating a free male

I wanted to sit down and have a slice or two of pizza at a close pizza joint and this place popped up. I do not live in Allentown, but this place is where wound up going to due to its proximity to my work site. It was12:30pm on a Wednesday. There were 5 older men sitting at the bar drinking and smoking. One cigarette after another and another. The place smelled like a dirty ash tray. Woody’s apparently has a Department of Health exemption of the Clean Air Indoor Act.
Another thing to note is that the staff at this establishment DO NOT care or have any regard for the customer. When I walked in a staff member saw me, but continued to talk to who i assume was a close friend for what felt like two full minutes.
The pizza was mediocre at best. Overall I was not impressed with this place. I would recommend that you avoid this cancer box.

I think the place has good hot Wings and below average pizza. Located in bad area so be careful at night. Drink and food prices are reasonable. Bar area can sometimes be uncomfortable. Last time people were playing rap on their cell phones there. Bartenders didn’t say anything or seem to care.

Good for football, wings and beer if that is what you are looking for. I was going to a concert in Allentown PA and needed a place to do the above mentioned before the show to see the Jets play. The crowd was passionate/​knowledgeable about football and the wings were EXCELLENT (Hot and BBQ) It was a little bit of a ghetto crowd but I have street cred so that didn’t really matter.

I haven’t been there in a while but i love the pizza. Mhmmm. And I fell in love w/​their wings. I haven’t been in a while b/​c the consistency wasn’t there so we try a different Woody’s but there really isn’t a major reason why we wouldn’t go back.

I had lived in Allentown for 5 yrs… as far as I’m concerned 5 years too many. I lived right across the street from Big Woody’s. Let’s get one thing straight, I NEVER wanted to order from Woody’s and my girlfriend would order because we lived around the block from them. Worst pizza in the Lehigh Valley! Please do quote me on this. We made the mistake of ordering a Sicilian Pizza from them and the pizza dough was completely un-​cooked in the middle.
Furthermore, lets talk delivery time. I would say that a normal wait for take out or delivery is 20 to 30 minutes. Well, I can’t even count how many times my wait have come close to, or even exceeded a whole hour.
The Staff?! Hmm, lets see… a revolving door of young people, most of whom have probably had zero experience preparing or serving food in their lives. And rude. Oh my god are they rude. If I had to get their food I would normally have it delivered because it was better to do that then to have to deal with the staff directly.
They get one star because their Chicken Parm sandwiches are actually quite good.
Big Woody’s is a big dissapointment on all levels. This place is to be avoided…

I liked their pizza, their stromboli was great. Don’t get their «Famous» wings because they were terrible. There were small and had the worst tasting sweet and spicy sauce I have ever had.

Big Woody’s has to be one of the best pizza locations in the area to get a pizza. The pizza is also very consistent at most of the locations, they seem to be ALWAYS open which makes it a great place to order from. The only location I do not suggest is the Forks Township (Easton, PA)
