Great food, great service, fun family italian restaurant. I recommend it to anyone looking for a variety of Italian food.

This place really is as good as it gets. Stopped by once to pick up a few slices to take home for dinner and I truly had the hardest time trying to choose. They have the biggest selection of delicious looking pies, and you could tell they were made fresh every day. The owner happened to be there and he was extremely nice, he made sure I didn’t leave without taking home a few bottles of soda on the house, and even offered some dessert. I’ll definitely be back here a lot more frequently. Two thumbs up.

Don’t bother. We ordered 3 Heros and 2 pizzas and the delivery guy shows up an hour later without the pizzas. He was nice and said there was a guy right behind him with the pizzas. 30 minutes later we are still waiting. The same guy just showed up which means he drove back and forth to get he pizzas. If I owned or managed this place I would have called and apologized and offered something to make a customer happy. There is a reason they have 2.5 stars I guess.

Worst place ever. A family member just left and she was reprimanded for being 30 mins late to pickup the pizza pie. The owner was so rude and made her feel guilty that she didn’t come within 20 mins. Never coming here again. Really unprofessional.

I want to officially say Thank you to Village Pizza for making my Christmas party something special this past Saturday night. After ordering from a different Italian place in Mahwah, who went out of business, I decided to change things up this year, and ordered from Village. I ordered the catering package for 25 – 30 people + a tray of chicken fingers for the kids + a tray of mixed wraps. Everything came through hot fresh and perfectly made. They delivered it on time, and everyone raved about the food. What better place to talk about the awesome experience I had than Unilocal.Good job guys. A+++

What a cluster f**k. They messed up my order and when they re-took my order again, they STILL got it wrong. I don’t understand. The staff needs better training. They have no means of communication to each other. After waiting for an additional 35 minutes, the food sucked anyway. I ended up ordering from another pizza place after all that. They wasted my time and money. This was not a good first time impression for someone coming in from out of town. I will definitely choose another place to order from next time I’m back in this area. My advice to everyone: choose the next pizza place down the street.

I’m from the south and was willing to step of my comfort zone with pizza. Although the pie was good it wasn’t for me. I asked for jalapeños and was charged for them but didn’t get them. The chocolate mouse was a slice of chocolate cake… it was also good but not what I had expected. Overall experience is a 3 for me.

Great pizza. The best wings in town. Fresh mozzarella salad is OVERLOADED with prosciutto. Home made tiramisu and profiteroles are as good as you get on Italy. Staff are incredibly accommodation and friendly. This was our first time here. Eating in and we will be back.

It’s pretty much your standard American pizzeria. They have reliable food and very reasonable delivery time. I have only once dined in at the restaurant a few years back, and it was oddly with the mayor(some sort of scout event I think it was). Thus, I can’t say much about the wait staff since I don’t remember much about the experience. The Food: Their specialty pizzas are quite delicious. My personal favorite is the Margherita Pizza, which is by far the best there. Their Buffalo Chicken Pizza is a guilty pleasure of mine, though much pricier than the standard slice. In fact, if you want the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, opt for the full pizza, instead of buying individual slices; individual ones are $ 4.00 when combined with tax, which is way too much for one slice. For appetizers, I usually order the potato skins. The portion is fair and it tastes pretty good when hot. Personally, I think they could go a bit easy on the bacon; yea, that’s right, I said it. And I’d say it again too if I had the chance… they could go a bit easy on the bacon. Believe me, I love bacon as much as the next person, but the quality of it isn’t too high here, and the amount that is put on the potato skins overpowers any flavor from the other ingredients; at that point, you might as well just get bacon from the grocery store. The Chicken Parmesan sub is a good choice for lunch and the portion is quite big. I think it came with fries too the last time I checked. Avoid their Buffalo Wings and Chicken Fingers, because they taste pretty awful.

Ehhhhh! In my opinion this place is a disaster just ordered for the first time they messed up the order. Then they gave me a problem for complaining and were rude about it. They send me another sandwich that was so burnt that it was a joke! The manager was extremely rude trying to tell me that I am eating for free and not to call there again instead of apologizing about it!

For a long while this was my go-to pizza joint. This is most definitely no longer the case. 1 — Location: The restaurant is located in the A&P Shopping Center. A good location with decent parking. Sometimes the parking lot can be crowded, but that’s not this place’s fault. The downtown area is so small anyway, that it’d be a short walk from wherever you park. The restaurant itself is very clean. It is modern, and kept up well. Very nice interior. 2 — Delivery: The nicest thing that I can say about their delivery is that it’s very fast. However, more often than not, something is screwed up. They have a call-in and order method and and online ordering method. Either way the order is placed, something normally goes wrong. General mistakes I’ve had happen over the time I was a customer include: forgetting the soda; ordering a full pepperoni pie and getting half pepperoni half sausage; ordering a mushroom pie, and getting no mushrooms. Little things like that. I can’t even count, on one hand, the number of times the delivery drivers had to leave my door, return to the store and come back to make up for their error. One driver in particular, Robert, is as rude as can be. He comes to your door like you owe him something, shoves food at you, doesn’t speak, and basically kicks your door shut, while you’re standing there with a hand full of hot food. It got to the point where I began requesting that they NOT send Robert to my house to deliver food. Yes, even after all of this, I still kept giving them chances. 3 — Service: Delivery driver«Robert» aside, it really seems like the rest of this place is run by incompetent fools. From the order-takers to the manager, Sammy, nothing ever goes right. As an example, I once utilized the online ordering system, which is run by Beyond Menu Online, or something similar. The order was very late to my house, so I called to check. They told me that they’d never received the order, and wanted my credit card information to pay again. I explained that I had already paid, and he told me that that wasn’t his problem, and to call the online ordering system. He refused to complete my order. I did end up calling the service, and spoke with a wonderfully kind woman who assisted me, and did end up calling the store to fix the issue. I was later delivered my food, with an apology dessert. Another time, I was not home, I was 25 miles away in class. My phone kept ringing and ringing over and over. Obviously, I couldn’t pick up the phone. I began to panic with the amount of times I was getting called, so I left to return the call. It turns out it was Village Pizza and Pasta calling me because I wasn’t home to accept my delivery. I explained that I hadn’t ordered anything. They were incredibly rude to me — arguing that they had the fax right in front of them, and that I am going to pay for this mistake. While they farted around behind the scenes trying to figure this out, I checked my credit card bill and I had been charged. For an order I didn’t place! I was downright furious! When the manager, Sammy, got back on the phone, he explained that there was a delay in orders to his fax machine, because he had run out of paper a day earlier. So I asked him to remove or reverse the charge, and he told me, again, to call the online ordering system. I refused, explaining that this isn’t my responsibility. Eventually, I had to have it reversed by my credit card company. Just a hassle. 4 — Food: This is yet another area in which Village Pizza and Pasta completely under-perform. Appetizers: Stuffed Mushrooms(a personal favorite) are simply frozen appetizers they’ve heated up & slapped on some parsley. Their Buffalo Wings are OK-ish. Definitely not fresh. They do give a generous serving of dressing, and a few sticks of flaccid celery — seriously, it’s not even green. Mozzarella sticks are the same that you’d get in the grocery, and not worth the(incredibly high) amount they charge. Garlic knots are fair, but it’s a bit hard to really screw them up. Potato skins are dry and wrinkled. and certainly NOTHING to write home about. After trying all of these, I stopped ordering from the appetizer menu, because I wasn’t really pleased with any of it. Entrees: Mediocre Eggplant Parmigiana and Penne Vodka. OK. but nothing to get excited over. Chicken Parmigiana is all right, but could be a lot better. They do have a few decent wraps and sandwiches, though . Pizza: Finally! I mean that’s what we’re all here for, isn’t it? The pizza is sub-par. The bread is flat, with little to no flavor. The sauce is really watered down, and not much flavor to it at all. Cheese is normally well-melted, but the pie itself is almost always undercooked and runny. In addition to that, if you happen to get a half-assed delivery driver(see: Robert, mentioned above) you can be sure the majority of your pizza will be on the box, not the bread. All in all, a total let-down — will give my business to Angelo’s & Natales.

I don’t know why I keep ordering from this place. Probably because of the free delivery. The Pasta Bolognese was an oily salted mush. The pizza tastes like a jumble of ingredients put together, but not taken cohesion. The crust/dough tastes like a piece of pre-made flat bread. I’ve ordered menu item after menu item, and nothing I had so far tastes like decent Italian food.

Well… it’s definitely a clean place, and the staff is quite friendly. Now that we have all the positives out of the way… I went in with my co-worker shortly after the lunch time crowd. Greeted very nicely and stood at the counter looking at what I thought was great looking food. They have excellent choices and definitely a lot of potential. I ordered a slice of the bacon, chicken, ranch pizza and a chicken parm slice. I understand the nuances of needing to reheat a pizza that is sitting on the counter, so I can’t fault my poor choice… but seriously? It seemed as if both of my slices were reheated more than just once. They were both way too crunchy, off tasting, tough, it was just a bad experience. Surely their pies that are made fresh are good, but it’s just not for me.
