The Belmont At Twin Creeks

Transferred my mom here from Windsor Gardens in Lancaster to be closer to the house about a month ago. This facility is a little over a year old and very clean. Both facilities are owned by the same parent company (Cantex Senior Communities). Belmont has a lovely décor which you notice immediately after entering the front door.
Here’s a little beef of mine. The staff, although professional doesn’t communicate with me as well as Windsor Gardens. My mother has Alzheimer’s and WG’s staff did an excellent job of keeping me updated with her daily routine and most importantly they didn’t hesitate to call me with the slightest little detail regarding her condition. I haven’t gotten the same committment from Belmont though. Just the other day there was some confusion regarding mom’s med’s and the nurse (Olga) hadn’t been getting a return call from mom’s doctors office. Unfortunately she never called me tell me of her dilemma and it wasn’t until after I inquired about the situation 2 weeks later did I find out it wasn’t resolved. At that time I had to be proactive and get the confusion straightened out myself. I expressed my displeasure to Olga & I’m sure she’ll do the right thing going forward, but it shouldn’t have taken this long in the first place.
I do like Belmont and although they need to straighten out a few bugs I would give a recommendation for anyone looking for an assisted living facility, but take note, be sure to stay on top of every detail regardless of the place you choose.
