Oil & Vinegar tastings seem to draw people into this place! Imported olive oil and balsamic vinegars make a difference. We held a tasting event in Dallas and sampled herbs and catered food that was prepared with flavored oils. My favorite for fish is Chardonnay Lime with Elderflower Vinegar — makes cooking easy. I have been back for gift baskets — beautiful choice for a family member with heart disease, because olive oil and vinegar are salt free.

We live in the complex and always come here when we run low on our oils or when we are making a dish that needs something extra. The people that run this store are very knowledgeable, know how to cook, and give their own tips and advice on what to use with what if you don’t cook often at home or are branching out. As a chef I love experimenting with flavors and they have quite the assortment. Not just oils but spices and preserved veggies and such. They have twice a year grab bags that gives you double the stuff you pay for, the catch is that it is a surprise bag! It’s great to give as gifts because neither of you know what’s inside! You can get all sorts of stuff including plates and oil jars! Heavier bags are mostly liquid goods. Lighter bags are spices and rubs! Definitely wroth the price! We always grab a few 50s because you get the most fun stuff. It’s like getting presents! White truffle oil, fume, cherry almond basalm. Just to name a few are amazing! The variety of bottles are cheap and the oils and vinegars are well priced! They also refill the bottles if they are clean! We appreciate your knowledge and love for the art of cooking!

Great establishment. Excellent Oil and Vinegar options, amongst other flavors and cooking aids. You can buy a refillable glass bottle for your oil and vinegar choices. You can also take your own bottle to fill. We didn’t buy anything this time, but definitely will once we move to TX in October. We are salad and paleo-ish eaters, so these oils would really comment our at home meals.

I love this place! I have absolutely NO idea why they have any negative reviews. The wonderful array of types of olive oil, and vinegar is amazing. I also love the bottles they sell. I have not had any problems with rudeness. For those who are upset about the prices, you should pick up some canola oil at Wal-Mart since that seems to be more your speed.

Okay, I’m not quite sure how to describe this place so I’ll quote my friend on this one. You know that buddy you have that loves wine or beer right? The one that claims only *insert random winery or brewery* is the best and nothing can compare here. Yep, the same one you hang out with for a little while and are completely overwhelmed because you never realised how many different types of wine existed. And then he gets started on the specific glasses you need for each type. That’s exactly it. So now imagine this friend talking about oil and vinegar instead and you’ve got this place. It was definitely overwhelming at first. I tried to count all the vinegars I liked when I came in here. But somewhere along the way I lost count at 843. Okay, yes the place is quite overwhelming if you don’t know anything about specialty oils and vinegars. But, they really do a great job helping you pick out what you’d like. I love that they have tons of samples. What else is the best way to make sure you pick something you like, right? Just try it out! The way a lot of their oils work is that you buy a glass container and then pay for the oil you’d like. They sell most of them in 100 ml increments. Most of the vinegars are approximately $ 4 to $ 5 for a 100 ml aliquot. Which means an entire bottle of vinegar might be twice or trice the price you could get at a store. Yes, it might be quite a bit more expensive. But a lot of the vinegars you might try here, you just can’t find in stores elsewhere. So, I think it’s definitely worth it for a splurge or when you really need something special for a dish. But I probably wouldn’t be buying my vinegar in bulk from here. Maybe get a bunch of bottle for salad dressing? I really liked the Mango Pulp one quite a bit and would recommend that. But honestly try stuff out and you’ll find something you’ll be happy with.

Interesting idea for a store but this one doesn’t get it right. The employees are rude and not very flexible. They have tons of different oils but will not mix any of them(garlic and basil for example). They said that they are prohibited from mixing them since the prices are different(actually many of them are the same and if the people had half a brain cell, it would only take simple arithmetic to calculate the price). We called ahead of going and the person on the phone said they could mix them but the witch woman that was working on the evening of 10⁄4 said no and acted like it was the dumbest idea ever. Hopefully they will go out of business soon so something better can move into the space.

It’s a shame that they only sell their oil in quantities of 100 mL. For things such as the white truffle oil it is very difficult to use all 100 mL prior to it going bad. In my opinion the business model to only sell in 100 mL portions is a poor decision, as we walked out without a purchase. If they were to implement a system in which you could buy fractions of 100 mL, their business would increase in my opinion.

As the name suggests, they focus on a wide variety of high quality olive oils & balsamic vinegars, but they also sell many Italian imported goods. For me, the main draw is all the great flavored balsamic vinegars & olive oils. Samples galore. Friendly & helpful staff. I think that so many of these items make for great gifts or party snacks.

This is the home chef’s equivalent of a growler store. A dazzling wall of oils and vinegars is a sight on its own. One of the employees(and possibly owner?) Susan provided and excellent tasting session turned cooking lesson turned seminar. I tasted all sorts of flavors, including a chocolate balsamic, a chardonnay-flavored oil, passion fruit flavored oil, a Cajun-spiced oil… trust me, you’ll find something to fit your fancy here. I ended up purchasing a small bottle of lime riesling olive oil, which I know is going to be amazing with some fish… so hopefully it encourages me to cook at home more. The idea of having refillable bottles is great and surely to the business’ delight, would absolutely encourage me to return once it empties to try something else. Sadly I don’t live in Dallas, but Susan happily looked up some similar businesses in Atlanta so I wouldn’t be deprived of amazing oils. They heat-sealed my bottle and provided bubble wrap so I could pack it in my luggage. I am glad to say my oil made it back with very little leaking! They also have some great gift packages. Even amateur cooks can appreciate the differences in oils; I would love one of their gift sets! This place is definitely worth a stop inside if you’re in the area!

My first impression: Wow. I must have said it out loud, because the elderly gentleman who had walked in right before me turned around and exclaimed that he had just said the same. The store itself is actually quite small, but it certainly punches above its size in the sheer number of infused olive oils and vinegars that it carries. Every available wall and shelf was filled with such concoctions and excited customers filled the remaining floor spaces, sampling and debating the merits of each. Garlic, white truffle, or raspberry infused olive oil? Sure, they’ve got those, plus dozens more. You could spend an hour here sampling the infusions and discussing the uses and merits of each with the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Priced by the 100ml, you can purchase the infusion of your choice by purchasing a bottle there or bringing your own… something which I am sure my wife will want to do.
