Well it has happened. They are closed. They will be missed. They were incorporated into the city and no lighting in city limits. I went to the next closest stand and happen to bump into a police officer. He told me that there is no legal place for miles unless you got your own land. He said they are getting a lot more calls on people lighting off in neighborhoods, which is a big fire hazard. Just does not feel like the 4th without lighting your own fireworks.

Mr. Big’s is fun… SCARY fun. It’s crowded, yes, but the traffic flow is well managed. You don’t even have to spend anything if you don’t want to. Just bring some lawn chairs and watch other people shoot off professional grade fireworks up close and personal! After Mr. Big’s any city’s organized and orchestrated fireworks displays are LAME, and for sissies. My husband and I are going to keep on going back until we can’t drive out there anymore or some doo-goooders shut them down.

While the pricing is not the cheapest I town, the fact you can shoot off the purchases on the owner’s property behind the stands is worth the quick drive and the(minimally) extra cost. Forget the traffic at major shows like Kaboom Town… I live across the Tollway from Addison and will never return again now that I know about this place. This was the best«show» I’ve been to in years! If you bring kids, they provide free eye protection, which I guarantee you will all need. Police and fire dept are in hand to keep order/put out your burning clothing ;)

Did business with them in 2012, they had a great selection and friendly staff to help with the shopping(I was a newbie). The prices seemed quite competitive compared to several other fireworks stores in the vicinity that operate 2 weeks before the 4th of July and Christmas /New Years. This store also has a large open field that can be used to light the fireworks, which is a big plus because most of us city dwellers cannot light them in city limits due to restrictions. They also had some fire marshals and first aid workers on premise, so that gave me added confidence in their whole operation. Had a great time rubbing shoulder with many ex-military folks who seemed to have missed that action! Be prepared for traffic jams and some flea market style shopping in the few days preceding these holidays. I took off 1 star because it was a bit chaotic and parking was a bit tricky, but it’s probably normal due to the seasonal rush.
