One of the best tasting burgers around. Meat is moist and the sauce they put on it is delicious. Kids eat free on Mondays and Tuesday so it’s great to take the kids. I will definitely go back.

It’s alright. I ordered the 1⁄3 lb. Burger. The buns are super soft, almost soggy. You know, when the bread sticks to your teeth kind of soggy. They must have had a shortage on lettuce because when I opened up my burger, there were literally like five small cut pieces of lettuce. It looked sad. I didn’t mind the fries but my freshman son said they taste like the ones at school. Not sure if I’d come back. I would rather go to Scotty P’s which is right«across» the street.

Overpriced. We ordered the 1⁄3 burgers, loaded cheese fries, onion rings, and fried pickle. Burger nothing special and small, loaded cheese fries aren’t fresh, and the fried pickles are chewy. The only we liked is the onion rings. Definitely won’t go back.

Always a good go to burger place that is way better than comparable burger joints in this part of Collin County. Order a fried egg on top and be pleasantly surprised.

Good burger. Good service. Next time I gotta try the Toddzilla, named after Todd Hamilton that won the Open.

Not impressed. I was recommended this by some people in the area and figured I’d give it a try. The burger was decent, just like one you make yourself. The fries were bad. The girl recommended fresh cut fries and it looked like they dumped all the small ¼ pieces from some bulk bag on my plate after the fryer. I will not be back.

Nice staff. Pricey dive here. Burgers don’t meet the asking price in my opinion. Burger was overcooked, two bites and I was done. Fries were spongy, everyone likes golden crispy fries. I think 5 Guys has them beat for me, I hope to visit again soon to see what the action looks like in a few weeks!

Over priced, average at best burger and frozen onion rings that were cooked in bad grease that were soggy, $ 11.30 for burger drink onion ring, I expect a burger better than mcdonalds for that price, but not today

This place is better than some of the chains, but it has seriously slipped in quality vs price over the last couple of years. Fires aren’t fresh cut like they used to be, burgers are smaller and(at least on my visit) cooked ahead and simply dressed the way you order them, which equals a cold burger. Prices are at he upper end for similar offerings in the area. Burger Island is much better quality of food, cooked fresh with fresh cut fries for less money. This place is not quite on par with Five Guys, but it is worlds better than Scotty P’s which has also slipped quite a bit over the last couple of years. Service is cordial but seemed air headed and distracted, other sides are way too expensive for the quality of food. If this place would go back to the basics they started with they would be outstanding again. Fresh cut fries, fresh cooked burgers with fresh ingredients and a decent value for your $$$. Sadly they have slowly introduced more and more commissary items thinking their customers wouldn’t notice or care, maybe some don’t, but I do and so do others that used to be regulars here. Until they get a handle on things again I will go somewhere else. The first I hear of any positive improvements I will immediately give them another try and update this review.

Always on the lookout for a good burger and love supporting the local haunts. Ate there with family. Was able to get a big double, and add an egg to it! I’m weird in that I feel that spells gourmet when I can toss an egg on a burger! The meat was seasoned very well. Not sure what it was, but the darn meat was really tasty! I enjoyed the burger top to bottom. Zero complaints. Good service. Will definitely head back here to fix my burger cravings. The folks that said better than the guys, smash, moo, etc., are correct. This place is VERY good. Check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

I don’t rate 5 stars but this burger place gets just that. Amazing burgers, shakes and house made fries. Also they use local oven gluten free buns which have an incredible taste. You will thank me «now that’s a tasty burger»

JC’s has good burgers, and their chicken sandwich, which I tried for the first time the other day, is actually really good, too. Tots are crispy, which is a must, and their sweet tea is… sweet(important). Wish they included what all came on their sandwiches on their menu(unless I missed it).

Average burger. Better than Smashburger, Five Guys, or Village Burger Bar, but not a place you’ll come back to to satisfy your burger craving. I’d recommend Scotty P’s if you’re in the area, but even that might only touch a 4 out of 5 rating. Yourway Burger(Carrollton & Keller) has the best burger. Hopdoddy’s on NW Hwy is in the same class. Maple and Motor. If in Ft. Worth, though it’s a dive, Love Shack is a great must try burger place.

The service was friendly and the burgers were good. They are definitely two hand and three napkin burgers. The fries and onion rings were okay but not great. The onion rings actually had a funny taste. This could have been the type of onion rings they were using. Overall not bad.

Well. It was okay. Our food(for just 2) came out at different times and they forgot my chili. That was kind of annoying. The cheese fries were average nothing special or bad. Okay. The chili is funky. Not a fan. There is a sweet ingredient in there I did not enjoy. And I’m not sure what the hype is about on the burgers. It was all just okay. Nothing to write home about.

My burger was decent. It was thick, hot, and cooked medium-well. My slice of cheese wasn’t hot though. But it wasn’t a big deal because the cheese melted soon enough. Extra toppings cost extra money of course. Actually, the extra toppings, like mushrooms and jalapenos, were kinda expensive so I passed on those. I had the onion rings instead of the fries. The onion rings might’ve been frozen, but I could be wrong. They appeared to be too perfectly-coated and round to be hand-battered. They were kinda bleh. I should’ve gotten the fries. Overall, the prices were marginally reasonable for what you get. The food is okay, but unremarkable. Despite having comparable prices, I would probably spend a few extra minutes and choose to drive to a Five Guys or Smashburger.

I really was so excited to enjoy this burger & let me just say when I eat an actual burger I expect to finish it because I rarely eat an actual one I typically eat Turkey Burgers but have wanted one for a month Waiting with anticipation as it took a long time to grill it up I was thinking«this is going to be so good» I typically will eat half with the idea of having the second half the next day but then not being able to because it is just to juicy and delish However, this was actually a burger I ate half of and will wait until tomorrow because it has no flavor to it at all so I am thinking it may have more flavor in the am The fries were really good — cooked just how I like Mushy in the middle YUM but they need a bit of seasoning; however, get the ranch to go with it and then it is fine. Ranch is great I thought the people behind the counter were nice and friendly — esp the girl she was super sweet The price for a burger, fries, and soda seemed a bit high to me esp with no flavor. I am a bit shocked the place won No. 1 burger joint esp when I saw the competition. Obviously they don’t have mature taste buds

Let’s go 3.5 stars here, because they had good fries, plus they had sweet potato fries with no sugary coatings. Coke Zero is available on the fountain. The burger was good, but not outstanding. My 1⁄3 lb burger was cooked well done but not over done, and while it wasn’t dry, it wasn’t as juicy as I had hoped. Overall, it was a good meal, but the competition in the burger market is voluminous and stiff. I’d want to see a juicier burger to start edging towards four stars.
