What I like about this place is that they have a lot of options. If you have extra spending money and an empty stomach, the All You Can Eat is a great option if you want to experiment and try different kinds of sashimi and rolls. If you’re on a budget, the teriyaki bowls are really affordable, but still filling. My personal favorite thing to order is the chirashi bowl(mixed sashimi with rice and shredded daikon). A little secret is that you can replace all of the fish with salmon, and it’s cheaper than ordering the salmon sashimi from the paper.(There’s a small price difference, but still worth it.) The ponzu and garlic ponzu are really delicious sauces, and I always ask for some on the side.

Nagoya is one of those places that you go to because it’s in Aliso and there aren’t many other options. It’s either this or You & I in Laguna Hills. The service here is okay, and the fish is just okay also. There is a roll that is on fire when it gets to the table. The roll really had potential and it definitely had a wow factor, just one BIG problem they are not careful when spraying the lighter fluid. The entire roll tasted like lighter fluid. We even ordered a second one just to see if it happened again and again the whole roll stunk like lighter fluid. The rest of the food was pretty good but nothing to rave about. Don’t order/eat anything that comes out in flames.

This was was ok in my book. Came here on a casual date with the boyfriend. When we first walked in, we weren’t sure whether we should stay or not because there was such an off-putting smell in the restaurant. I know fish is smelly, but it was definitely more so than in other places I’ve been. The girls serving us were very sweet and provided great service, but it was a little slow because there were only 2 girls working and it was a full house. We did the all-you-can eat for $ 25 each and I was disappointed with how limited the sushi list was for all-you-can eat and how they charged extra for certain dishes. The sushi was ok, not very impressive. This place wasn’t horrible, but it definitely isn’t my choice of sushi places in the area. Probably won’t be back.

Decided it was finally time to leave a review, as we have been coming here for 3+ years. This was one of the first places that I ever tried AYCE sushi. I’ve gone to a lot of other places and they’ve been pretty good, but something always keeps me coming back here. We typically sit at the bar when there’s 4 or less of us and we LOVE our sushi chef. Jay is the greatest… he is always so attentive and to be honest he is more attentive than the waiters… he noticed they forgot our plates so he got them. He noticed we needed refills so he asked for them. He noticed we were ready for the bill so he asked the waitress. Bottom line he is what keeps us coming back here. We always know that with him we will be getting great sushi and even better service.

It’s a great neighborhood sushi spot. They have good choices for the all you can eat sushi, and their prices are decent. Staff is friendly but sometimes seem lost, but overall it’s a positive experience every time.

Menu is not up to date! I placed a phone order for tuna cut rolls which say $ 4 each but when I arrived they told me it’s actually $ 5.50 which is expensive for a plain tuna rice and seaweed roll…

This is the second or third time I have visited this establishment. My colleague and I decided to eat dinner here as our usual AYCE establishment(You & I) is now closed on Tuesdays. Overall the rolls are good and service is decent. It seems to take an eternity for the rolls to arrive at your table. I am not sure if this a stall tactic to get you to consume less, but it is kinda annoying to have to wait. I usually enjoy having muscles with my AYCE, however I do not like how they make them here. The Crunch Roll is very good. Price wise they are $ 25 for AYCE which seems to be the going rate.

Whenever I’m in the mood for some amazing sushi I head over to Nagoya. There is a wide variety of unique rolls and all you can eat for a good price. The presentation is always beautiful to where everything is placed with care, it looks like art. The staff is always friendly and smiling which is a plus of course. I would definitely stop by if you’re in the area.

This place was just okay. I have had better in other parts of the OC, but friends in town wanted Sushi, so we found ourselves here. AYCE sushi for about $ 25.00. Out of everything I tried the Eel was the best. Everything else was just okay. Service could of been better. Disappointed some of the pieces of sushi I ordered ended up at the other side of our table. Drinks were slowly refilled and I missed out on the ice cream. The sushi bar would probably of been a better spot to sit for effective service.

Unilocal Challenge 201583⁄365 ***Sing along time… whitesnake is this love?*** I should known better And let ya eat alone Its times like these I can not trust the reviews Wasted money and hungry nights And I cant go back to see you again I find I spend my time Looking for reviews How can I tell, if its Wrong or its right I need you to tell me the truth Cuz, I dont think I can trust these 5 stars Is this sushi, that were eating Is this the sushi I was looking for Is this sushi, that were eating This must be sushi But it’s really has no hold on me We cant eat no more. The hubsters and our friends wanted AYCE sushi for dinner in this vacinity. This is the type of good food is RARE to find in south OC, something I warned them about and something we struggle with when we are in the area. This place is pretty much one of the only AYCE sushi shows in town, which is why they have so many 5 star reviews. Located in a random shopping center, in the same lot as DQ and Aliso donuts. Unless you know its exact location, you would probably never know a sushi spot was here. Dinner AYCE was $ 24.99, which is average for AYCE. It includes a few menu items, like teriyaki chicken, edamame, miso soup, Tempura, on top of about 50 different types of sushi from hand rolls, regular rolls, 2 piece sushi. Some of Our friends seemed to enjoy it. The hubsters said it was just okay. Which is code for he has had better. His favorite was the eel, the others were not the greatest, just your average sushi. He was not a fan. Another friend of ours, I know did not enjoy it either. His silence, said it all. To that guy the best thing was probally the beers he chugged. Luckily, he did pay for the hubsters and me. I was disappointed from the start when my teriyaki plate arrived luke warm and not pipping hot, the way I like it. I paired it with rice, which us something I rarely eat, but ate tonight to warm up my meat. My plate was $ 13.99, which is high for the small portion of very fatty meat that was set in front of me. I have had better Teriyaki beef elsewhere, with a serving twice the size but I was starving, so I finished it. Service was just okay. Its always hard with sushi table service verses sitting at the sushi bar. While sitting at the bar I am sure its more attentive and your order is placed in front of you. At the tables the sushi orders are checked off on a community paper thats shared amongst your group. Who likes to share? I sure dont.. A lot of the sushi my husband ordered was either forgotten or set out at the other end of the table. Our waters were refilled promptly and service was with a smile. Sadly, I am not a fan. And I left Hungry. My husband who loves sushi thinks 2 stars is generous If you like sushi and have not experienced the sushi in North OC then you may find this place to be tastey. If your a frequent sushi eater, then you may be disappointed. Review #585

This place is alright, the waiter is constantly throwing things past you and taking your plates which is good but frustrating specially when there’s still food on your plate. Overall I have ate here a million and 1 times besides the crazy lady serving food like a bat out of hell, the food really is not that bad and it’s a mellow atmosphere. I enjoy my meals here but just don’t appreciate feeling rushed. Seriously though try the flaming dragon roll That stuff is straight popping !!!

This place is great and the people are very nice. I have been here on several occasions within the last year. Every experience was great. I have been on dates with my boyfriend for both lunch and dinner, and even come with my family, which includes younger kids. The food has always tasted amazing, and we have never had a problem with the service or employees.

This place is amazing! I love sushi and had my favorite places back in San Diego. But this place blows them all away! I get the all you can eat and walk away so happy and full :) They have a great variety of rolls and all the ones I’ve tried have been delicious! The staff is always friendly and have begun to recognize us, it’s great. I tell everybody back home about it and love taking them here when they visit.

Love this place. Great sushi. Quiet and comfortable. Get the roll that they set on fire. It’s fun and tasty. A very good all you can eat menu(AYCE) as well.

I love this place. I was a bit skeptical to go to an AYCE sushi spot, but surprisingly, the fish is fresh and tasty! I go at least once a week, and am always satisfied! The service is excellent, and thy serve every tray with a smile! I usually don’t get the rolls there, though they are good, I prefer sashimi. The albacore there is the best, in my opinion! If you’re looking for a cozy little spot that is local and priced just right, this is the place! You won’t be disappointed!

We had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, however the sushi was terrible. The rice was not«sushi» rice — it was just plain white rice, with no vinegar or taste to it. The fish was also tasteless. It took a very long time to get our first order, and we were only the 2nd customer in there. The only good thing was the mussels. There are better AYCE sushi places in OC.

The food is solidly«okay» but the service was what prompted me to write this review. Went with a fairly large group(8 girls) for lunch. Most of us ordered bentos, while others order sushi, and no one got the all you can eat. Our waitress was a harried older Japanese lady, who seemed nice enough but failed to mention that tea costs extra. Whaaat? So we end up paying about $ 2 each for restaurant grade tea. On top of that we asked to split the bill between two tables to try & make it easier for her, rather than ask for individual bills. It takes about 20 min or more to get the bill and ends up as one huge list of numbers, with no dish names so how are we supposed to figure out who pays for what? We end up splitting the bill but it definitely ended up being waaaaay more expensive than what it should have cost. Not going back ever…

This place is awesome. All you can eat $ 24 — totally worth it since their best rolls are the $ 10+ ones. I don’t know her name, but there is woman sushi chef that works there(she’s the only woman I think) and her skills are off the charts! Not to mention she makes you custom rolls to your liking, and gives you unlimited free sake at the end. Top quality sushi, always fresh, great experience. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The options Nagoya offers AYCE for $ 19.95 during lunch and $ 24.95 during dinner for adults. If the AYCE is too much, there is 4 different combinations, udon, entres, bowls, or order sushi rolls individually. But here’s the catch to ordering the AYCE, there are rules. 1) No take out. 2) Cant share with another person who isnt part of the AYCE or else they will get charged with AYCE. 3) Limited to 3 sheets.(They are trying to avoid wasting paper. I recommend to mark at least 4 or more. If you order too many, you can cancel your order at any time.) 4) Have to eat the rice that the sushi comes with or else you’ll be charged. Same thing with leaving more than half of the rolls behind. Other than that, the AYCE offers sushi, special rolls, and appetizers. There is a variety of rolls that isnt just california roll with fish on top. The most famous roll that comes with the AYCE is the Drunken Tiger Roll. I would take advantage of the AYCE by order strictly sushi. AYCE doesnt offer sashimi which is only the fish. If you dont order the AYCE, there is combinations. My favorite combination, since I’m not a big eater, is combination C with 6 pcs of sushi that includes any sushi roll and miso soup. Of course, I choose an expensive roll. My personal favorite: Volcano Roll(spicy tuna, avocado inside with spicy yellowtail on top. The other roll that comes with fire.), Alaska Roll(spicy albacore, cucumber inside with salmon on top. Ponzu sauce is such a great complementary to the taste.), Red Bull Roll(crunchy roll with spicy tuna on top with eel sauce), & the green muscles appetizers. Just typing about it is making me hungry! Besides the menu, the service is quick and friendly. The waitresses and waitors are well informed to answer any questions I have. I come in almost once a week to get my sushi fix. Happy eating!
