Lydia’s Flower Shoppe

We recently used Lydia’s for a funeral in Ambridge. We visited the shop and had a great conversation with the staff who promised to make the color tweaks to arrangements we requested. When the flowers arrived, they were outstanding. I have used other florists in the area, but from now on I will use Lydia’s. They provided great flowers, personalized service, on-​time delivery and went beyond what was requested. Their prices were very reasonable as well. I highly recommend them!

Second time ordering and this was an experience. While virtually all florists can produce the FTD bouquets, I wasn’t thrilled with the selection this year– mostly tulips and roses. I wanted something with the purple irises that my mother loves and something more unique. She’s 82 and extremely active but has zero needs and very few wants– cut flowers are something she loves.
I called Lydia’s to see what they could do in more of a custom arrangement. I gave them the parameters that I required and let them pick the rest. All I can say is IMPRESSIVE! My mother’s bouquet had huge yellow roses, purple irises and the big snowball flowers with some greenery. Some were in bud form and some were already in bloom. The thing must have been 18″ across and nearly 2′ tall. I spent $ 100 on it and it was well worth the money! I also opted for a Friday delivery so she had the weekend to show off the flowers to all of her guests for a dinner. It probably saved me money to not have a weekend delivery. Two weeks later and she still has most of the flowers in bloom and looking healthy. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!

My husband ordered me white roses my favorite and added some red for valentines day. They were the most disappointing flowers ever. He brought them home Friday as he works across the street at Medfast. Today one day later 2 of the white roses are dead. 3 of the red roses have black on them… hmmmm $ 106 and rotten flowers? My flowers sure do not look like the luxurious flowers they advertise. This is not the first time with issues from here and I repeadily told him not to use them. Believe me he won’t again!!!

I had to order last minute flowers for a funeral as I live out of town. I ordered the deal of the day (the night before the funeral), so wasn’t entirely sure what the end result would look like. I was sent a picture of the arrangement and it was beautiful! Much better than I thought it would be as I didn’t pay for the most expensive arrangement!
