I am a frequent customer there at Taqueria Jalisco No. 6, and so far not made any complaints about their food. They serve excellent breakfast tacos and enchiladas plate when I ordered them. When they give you tortilla chips and salsa, you must always ask for cheese dip because it is really good! The restaurant is very clean and they make sure no mess is left on the table. Waitresses and Waiters are courtesy and quick on their services. They treat their customers with utmost respect as if they are your family. if you need something, they will quickly provide you something as requested… more drinks… more tortillas… more napkins. After All, as I said before, I will continue going there as a frequent customer.

Not bad of a place to stop by or pick up in the drive thru window, you can even drive up to the drive thru window and take a Pina Colada to go…

There aren’t many places to eat in Alice besides Mexican, so my coworker and I decided to stop here for lunch while passing through. The place was clean and busy, always a good sign. The staff was prompt and courteous and allowed us to choose our own table. The menu was quite extensive, with pictures of most of the options. My coworker and I each ordered the mini tacos. You can choose your meat and we both got pastor. The food came out quickly and there was a lot of it. We agreed that we could have shared an order. There were 5 tacos piled high with meat and fixings, and a bowl of charro beans in the middle. The food was delicious and filling. While we were eating the manager stopped by all the tables, including ours, to make sure everything was ok and that we didn’t need anything. Our server quickly brought us boxes when we asked for them and even offered to make our waters to-go. On a side note, you pay your check at the counter. All in all, a pleasant experience and a very filling lunch for only $ 8. I would go back.

Barbacoa tacos, people. Barbacoa is NOT just«BBQ» in Spanish. It’s a completely different and very specific method that steams and smokes meat at the same time, often wrapped in banana leaves and it’s traditionally beef. Sometimes you’ll get pork. It’s served shredded usually in a tortilla and, for me, it’s one of those dishes that are so perfect I need add nothing to it before eating it. Drive-thru Margaritas, people. Their quesadillas are intense — huge, on a folded homemade flour tortilla and overflowing with cheese and your choice of meats. People tend to not realize that no two Mexican food restaurants are the same, especially if they’re family owned. And the further south you go, the more they’re going to be family owned and run. The name will help you prepare for what you get. A Taqueria Vallarta is referring to Vallarta style food and will vary from a Jalisco style food in certain ways. Their salsa is spicy. Their recipes are family recipes and they’ve given me consistent food since I can remember… and by that I mean over the past 10 years of my life I’ve been eating here. They’re mostly straight Mexican dishes and they of course offer some popular TexMex items… then you can order a cheese burger or a chicken fried steak. You don’t get service in this area the way you do in larger cities, namely in Ausitn. Service industry is just a completely different thing. When you travel south and eat in a taqueria, treat it like you’re in someone else’s home for dinner but they really don’t have time to talk to you. Flag them down when you want something and let them go about their business. They don’t give corporate level service but they do take care of you and they feed you a really really great meal! I generally make it a point to stop here at least once during my visits back home!
