This place awesome. The food always consistent and good. The hummus, and the balaclava is delish! The best part is the lunch buffet. All the items are delish. Plenty of seating and quick and friendly staff. CUSTOMERSERVICEISONPOINT.

Very good middle eastern buffet, I always leave full and happy. The tabbouleh and all the salads are fresh and taste very authentic and delicious, so are the hummus and the like. The kofta and kabobs are also very good, almost everything tastes good and is fresh. One star off for the hit/miss service, the ladies are always great and hardworking, some of the other waiters are not good.

We were there for the Sunday buffet. It costs $ 16 and the food variety is amazing. There are all the typical middle eastern appetizers with warm pita bread. They also had an amazing lentil soup that was lemony and super tasty. There are salads as well as fresh fruit. The main dishes come in vegetarian form or meat form such as stuffed squash and grape leaves. Really worth going for great food here! The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because of the cleanliness. The whole place like the bathrooms need some updating.

Just happened upon this place in Alhambra. Pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcoming atmosphere and delicious buffet. Lots of choices besides the buffet. Vegetarian-friendly. It was great.

I came across this place while searching for the best buffets in L.A. Since my younger years, I always loved this type of food. I only ate it on occasion when I was with a friends family. Since I’ve grown up, I have come across this type of food but it is always expensive for the quantity and I am price picky. This place though… Quality foods and all the quantity you need to be filled and satisfied. Vegetarian, meat lover, omnivore? They have it all and it tastes wonderful. The service is excellent too! Pita bread wasn’t that good, or else 5 stars for sure!

So to start, I will say that I don’t eat Middle Eastern or Lebanese food very often. I usually eat Chinese. The food was as good as you expect buffet food to be. It was a little tough from sitting under heat lamps.(expected) The upside was that the cold section(vegetables, hummus, sauces, fruit) were super fresh. Personally, I did not expect lemon juice to be used in so many different dishes. In Chinese cuisine, you rarely get sour tastes. Service was great considering the area. They are the type of waiters to constantly ask you for something, they are the ones that you ask them for something and they jump to it. Overall 4⁄5. It was good, but it didn’t knock my socks off. Would come again.

Although the food is good for the price and quantity, I went back tonight and the service was seriously lacking. We were greeted by a couple friendly waiters and things were fairly smooth sailing the first 5 – 10 minutes… But once the food came, it’s like we became invisible. They didn’t refill our water until we were done with our meal and it took another 10 min for us to wave down a waiter to get our check. Once we got our check, my mom directly handed her credit card to avoid further waiting, but we assumed wrong. The credit card transaction took forever –____– really should’ve just left cash with our tip so we could bounce lol. Also, tip for parking: street is your best bet. The tiny tiny tiny lot is hard to get in and out of. Super inconvenient and a hassle to even try.

I am so bummed how bad this place has become. I used to come here all the time when I lived In the Pasadena area. Since moving 45 minutes away, our trips have been less frequent and the restaurant has just gone downhill dramatically. Our waiter was very nice and attentive(that’s why I gave it one star) but the quality of the food was just ok — it lacked that essence of flavor. What was absolutely disgusting was the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant AND the restroom. When we left I was horrified to see that they got a B grade. Unless I read about a major overhaul and upgrade — I will not return.

All-you-can-eat Middle Eastern food for lunch at $ 10.95/person. Besides Mediterranean Café in Pasadena, this is probably the first time I’ve had delicious garlic sauce and pilaf(rice). Must try: Kafta(Beef Kebobs) — juicy and great with the garlic spread Chicken Kebobs — tender, flavorful Pilaf(rice) — well-seasoned Baklava(dessert) — not too sweet, fresh The only think Wahib’s lacks is more servers. It took 10 – 15 minutes and 2 different servers for us to finally get water. I know the place gets busy and they’re all hustling, but service was slow because there was just so much to do for each server. **Came out to be ~$ 24 for 2 people(after taxes, without tip)**

I placed an order over the phone, they said it’d be ready in 20 minutes and I live walking distance. I show up 30 minutes later and surprise! My foods not ready yet. So she asks what I ordered since I guess she couldn’t find my name on a ticket so I tell her. She looks around but doesn’t say anything then 5 minutes later say«oh I see your order, it’s not ready» Long story short my food was ready an hour later! Why the hell wouldn’t you just tell me that! I could’ve stayed at home longer. To make my wait even better, she tried charging me an extra $ 40. I was like wtf! No! Only reason I waited was because that’s what my mom wanted. Food over all is whatever. I think I’ll spend the extra 10 minutes an drive to Pasadena for Zankou chicken instead.

I was craving for Mediterranean food and decided to check this place out. I have driven past this restaurant for over 20 years but just never make it in. They do have a private parking lot with plenty of parking. From the outside, you can’t see what’s inside since the windows were tinted. However, once you get in, you will see how brightly lit the restaurant is and the décor had an authentic Mediterranean feel. The staff were very kind and greeted you right away. They were very attentive and made sure we were happy and kept our water refilled. Our server also made small jokes with us too. I am normally opposed to AYCE since I don’t eat very much. I was planning on ordering an entrée but the price difference between AYCE and the regular menu was only a few dollars. It is totally worth ordering the AYCE. AYCE lunch is $ 10.95 and dinner is $ 12.99 M-Thurs. All day buffet is $ 15.95 on Friday-Sunday. The selection you will get is hummus, egg plant hummus, garlic sauce, Tabbouleh aka parsley salad, and tomatoes, yogurt, pita chips and pita bread, chicken kabobs, fish filet, stuffed grape leaf with lamb or vegetables, vegetable curry, beef and chicken kababs, lentil soup, and fruits. They will keep serving more food through out the day. I was super stuffed having 2 plates and felt sick from over eating. Although the price for the buffet was super worth it, I felt the food overall was average. I have had better Mediterranean food at other places where the food is hot and taste more fresh. I guess this is different since it’s buffet style. You will get your money’s worth since it’s a lot of food. But the quality of the food is just average.

Good food with decent price. We came here for lunch buffet($ 10.95/person). They have a lot of food options. This was the first time I have been to a Middle east food buffet so I picked everything to try out. This is just my opinion about the food. I don’t really know how some dishes supposed to taste like. I didn’t like the cabbage rolls, which were too sour for my taste. I only had one bite and couldn’t finish the rest. I think the other one was grape leaves rolls, which were OK but I didn’t like it either. However, everything else was really good. All of the meat was really tender, juicy, and flavorful. I also a like their hummus, garlic sauce, and eggplant dip. They tasted good and refreshing. For dessert, they were having 3 types of fruits, which were orange, watermelon, cantaloupe, and a really sweet cake. The cake was crunchy and sweet and it had so many layers. The service was quite slow. I knew that the waiters were busy, but it took them like 15 minutes to give me the bill and 15 more minutes to give back the card. I saw the table next to us paid later but received the card back right away, hmm. Overall, this place was pretty good. I will definitely come back when I crave for hummus or Mediterranean food.

After working, relating and adapting the custom and the language with my ex Arabic coworkers and bosses for 6 years, I learned how and where to eat the best Middle Eastern food.(Well at least, I think I know :) Of course number one is always home made. But now I don’t work with them anymore and sometimes I have cravings for middle eastern food. I recently came here again after many years and we tried out their dinner buffet. $ 15.99 per person and the buffet consists of chicken, beef, breaded fish, and lamb with pilaf but I was disappointed there was no lamb shank. The meat can be a little dry but the flavors were still good. Appetizers such as Doma(grape leaves), tabouleh, baba ganoush(eggplant dip), green salad, cucumber salad, hummus with pita chips, and the delicious garlic sauce. they had lentil soup which was really good and fruits and baklava for dessert. Our waiter(middle age chubby guy) was not at all helpful nor friendly. He never brought us our pita bread and since we were getting buffet he never showed his face much at our table after. After we were down with our meal and walking out we were greeted and thanked by a young gentlemen and asked us how our meal was. I asked him if we were supposed to get pita bread and he said yes, all meal including buffet came with warm pita bread. I told him we never got any. He apologized and as we were walking out he gave us a bag of pita bread. That was a really nice gesture although we were full. He said have it for breakfast tomorrow. Lol. I tipped him and thanked him. I would like to come back and try their Mansef(Arabic lamb shank stew). It’s only available on Fridays. They also sell the spinach pies which I forgot to pick up some on my way out.

We dined in for the first time today! We had always gotten the food for work lunches and meetings but I am happy to have come in to try their $ 15.95 weekend buffet(for both lunch and dinner). My favorites so far at the buffet are: rice pilaf, kafta/lula kebab(beef), chicken kebab, hummus, garlic butter, hummus, pita chips, baklava, tzatziki(yogurt salad), garden salad, tabbouleh. I personally thought the pita bread, the imtabbal eggplant(similar to hummus), and the stuffed grape leaf items were so-so. I didn’t like the mouloukhiya with chicken too much. The food never disappoints! The customer service is pretty good and the interior is very welcoming, like you are attending a family gathering, rather than sitting in a restaurant. Very good experience. We may consider having their food for our wedding!

Heard about this place on FB and went to try it last night. The staff was friendly, décor a little funky, and you can sit where ever you like. We both had the buffet which includes a basket of pita at your table. Really interesting variety of items there. 3 kinds of rice, several kinds of curry looking dishes, several kinds of stuffed grape leaves and stuffed veggies several kinds of kebabs, tabouleh, hummus a fruit bar. We tried a bunch of it but there is too much to try it all. It was all tasty. The only thing i did not like: the serving spoons and tongs were falling into the trays of food. Need a better cleaner set up.

This review is for the hookah that is offered in the outside seating. Benny, the main guy who makes the hookah is definitely one of the best in the business. He the primary reason that many of the people become regulars. There is a good variety of hookah Flavors, but he can customize it in whatever way you want. Personally, for me I ask for a random mix and I have never been disappointed. If you do decide to hookah, don’t come on Monday and Tuesday’s because Benny won’t be here and the quality of hookah won’t be as good. My go to flavor at the moment is orange mint, so give it try and relax for 13 dollars!

This has become a go to SGV spot for the past 5 years or so now. I always come for their buffet, which is just a popular option, not so much an all you can eat thing, although I think it is. The selection is delicious with a little something for everybody. I recommend the kababs, hummus, fresh pita and of course the baklava.

Wait what? There’s a Lebanese restaurant that has been around in Alhambra for more than two decades? I didn’t even know about this restaurant until my friends took me here few weeks ago … shame on me. You have two options here — either a la carte selections or lunch/dinner buffet(100% halal meat). $ 10.95 for Mon ~ Fri lunch buffet, $ 12.95 for Mon ~ Thurs dinner buffet, and $ 15.95 for Fri dinner + Sat & Sun both lunch and dinner buffet. Senior citizens get a special discount. Overall the service was somewhat decent and iced water took forever to arrive. *** $ 15.95 Weekend Buffet *** Hummus & pita breads: Great hummus and decent pita breads. No need to stuff yourself with pita breads — save some room for other goodies. Kafta and chicken kebabs: Slightly dry meat, but chicken kebabs were pretty decent(recommendation: don’t be greedy — get one of each first before deciding to get more) Filet of fish: Excellent fish quality and probably one of the best dishes of the night.(recommendation: a must get) Chicken mulukhiya(aka molokhia or Jews Mallow = jute leaves) & Vegetarian curry: Pretty good, but not memorable.(recommendation: try a small sample first, but I wouldn’t go for the 2nd round) Mansaf lamb(lamb cooked in a yogurt sauce): Tasted slightly sour(due to yogurt), not bad at all(recommendation: just try it) Beef with Freekeh(freekeh = a type of wheat): Pretty tasty with few slices of almond(recommendation: try a small sample first, but definitely get it) Pilaf(meat rice or white rice): Well seasoned rice and I was pretty impressed. Lentil soup: Tasty and you can really taste the bean, but just not my cup of tea.(recommendation: get a spoonful of soup and save more room for other items) Baklava: Pretty good! Not too sweet and greasy, probably my 2nd highlight of the meal.(recommendation: don’t stuff yourself and try at least one baklava) Watermelon: Yes, I ate about 10 pieces of watermelon. I haven’t had this good of watermelon for a long, long time — each piece was watery and sweet. Did not try: Stuffed grape leaves, French fries, baked Chicken, salad bar(garden salad, cabbage salad, tabbouleh) *** A delicious and inexpensive Mediterranean buffet option in the SGV(San Gabriel Valley) area. I can’t say this was the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had, but I could see myself coming back here if I don’t want to drive out of the way for better Mediterranean food.

Great buffet prices, a long work day, and a dangerous craving for a large amount of food led me to Wahib’s on a weekday evening. The small parking lot adjacent was full. I don’t know if it is shared with the pool table hall nearby but the restaurant was not packed. The décor is nice. The buffet appeared small. However, once I got closer, I realized that there are plenty of choices and three trips to the buffet table did not allow me to try everything there. There are cold appetizers, hot food, fresh fruits, and lentil soup. Warm pita bread is brought in a basket to your table. The taboulleh, hummus, diced cucumbers with yogurt, cabbage slaw, and eggplant hummus(baba ghanoush) were all good to me! It was refreshing and the yogurt was rich. It was hard to mess up on this. The lentil soup was well-seasoned and delicious. I liked the grilled beef and grilled chicken skewers. The grilled beef has a surprisingly smoky flavor. The grilled chicken was also seasoned quite well. I do agree with another Unilocal reviewer that their chicken tends to be on the dryer side. But it is still edible and enjoyable. I was not a fan of the grape leaves wrap and i found the lamb-stuffed squash to be okay. I did like their white rice and meat rice, as well as the lamb curry. Overall, I had more food that I found delicious and only had about two that I was not a fan of. Nonetheless, for the exorbitant amount of delicious food and friendly service, I would give this place a thumbs up! It’s a 3.5 star-type of place for me but I’m bumping it up because it really surprised me for the better. I would not hesitate to bring my friends here.
