LOVE this store. I purchase my authentic and fresh Green Tea here. Asian Tiger oil for pain relief is great here too. I also buy candy for my dish at work.

Jasmine was wonderful: my husband had a prescription written in Chinese, of course, from a Chinese doctor in Marina Del Rey. She filled it in a friendly snap, and my husband(a tightwad among tightwads) was so impressed with store that he purchased some very potent Astralaglus tea. Prices are very reasonable. We have a new go-to place for oriental medicines!

I’m sure there are a ton of places like this in the san gabriel valley, but this is my go-to place for chinese herb needs for the following reasons: 1. Friendly Service: For me, this kind of shops can be a bit intimidating. The staff here are helpful and never make you feel like you’re being pushed into buying anything you don’t need. Maybe it’s because it’s a family owned business and/or maybe because they feel pretty secure about their business, but they never behave like salesmen around their customers. They listen to what you want, and give you what you need. That’s it! If you have questions, they’ll share what they know with you. By the way, for those of you that are non-chinese speakers, there is a girl in the shop that speaks PEFECTENGLISH so there’s nothing to be worried about. 2. Fair Prices: I used to see other chinese medicine doctors and pay a ton for herbs. Now I just come here to get whatever my doctor prescribes and it’s significantly cheaper. They can sell you the medicine per week, per month, and even specific # of days. 3. Product Selection: Don’t be fooled by the size of the shop. I’m always amazed by how much stuff they’ve got in there. A friend of mine even bought her usual Japanese face wash here for at least $ 2 – 3 cheaper than the other stores in the area. In addition to my herbs, I’ve bought random food items and supplements like aloe cream, cough drops, organic red beans, barley, instant noodles. you name it! And you can tell they only carry good quality stuff too. Overall, it’s really a great little shop. I love seeing the family interact with each other in the store and I really hope it stays in business through generations to come. note: They DO accept credit cards. You just need to meet a minimum purchase amount, which is fair.

So you know those herbal stores where the doctors create magical potions(that really stink up your house) with all different kinds of herbs and seeds and animal parts? This is it! What sets them apart from other herbal stores that I’ve been to is that they have a variety of other Chinese medicine or healthy foods instead of only herbs. For example, Salonpas, Eagle Brand, Woodlock, Little Nurse, Tiger Balm, etc. as medicines. They have Instant cereals, packages of dried whatever, and even some noodles as health foods.(Apparently they have soap and shampoo and stuff here too… i know… random, but i love it!) The service is amazing. The main doctor(my grandfather’s doppelgänger, i swear) is a sweet elderly man who smiles and looks so friendly! This is a family run business as his children, in-laws and grandchildren are all working here as well. They are very professional and all so kind to us whenever we go! They are great at giving suggestions when you come in with ailments and aren’t sure what would be healthy for you. Parking is in the back in a very small lot, and on the streets. I’ve never seen the lot filled up even though it’s super small. I’m a western medicine gal, so I never shop here for my own needs, but my mom and god-sister swear by this place!!!

Great place to buy hair dye on the cheap. They give you a 2 – 3 dollar discount if you purchase by the box.

This place is a standard herb shop with made to order herb packets. It also has a huge selection of ready made packets like going to an eastern«GNC». I like this place to get a variety of different Ginger tea packets and their dried vegetables. They have shitake mushrooms, starfruit, green beans and others items they air dry and salt themselves so it’s «fresh». They are cash only but if they like you and you spend over $ 20 they might let you use credit.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 12 years. It’s a really great mom and pop shop run by a really friendly and knowledgeable family. I use this place for myself and my patients and really trust their quality and freshness of herbs. Parking is always easy too. Their dried mango slices are awesome by the way!

This is one of the good herbal shops in Valley Blvd, Alhambra. They’re in between 3rd and 4th st. You can’t miss their blue awnings in front of their store. It’s family owned and run by the family. They sell raw herbs, prepared herbs, or tablet /liquid herbal medicines. They got great selections of teas too. They also sell some basic food stuffs. I usually buy their herbal supplements which works for me. To name a few: Gan Mao Ling & Yin Chiao(Cold remedy), Biyan Piyan & Pe Min Kan Wan(for Sinus Allergy), Chuan Xin Lian(a herbal antibiotic & antiviral), Jiaogulan(lowers cholesterol & boost immune system and stamina), Yunnan Baiyao powder or plaster(for cuts & wounds), Korean Ginseng(energy booster) Po Chai Pills(for stomach upset and hangovers), plus a lot more And they’re cheap too compared to ordering these from websites, or buying their western counterparts from your local drugstore. i’d rather go herbal than chemical when it comes to taking medicines. Western pharmaceuticals are Big Business motivated by profit and greed. They have parking at the rear of their shop; entrance is at 4th street. They take cash or credit card(with purchase of $ 20 over). If you know the name of the herbal supplement you need and don’t know how to speak Mandarin, write it down before going there. There could be a little communication gap between a non-Chinese speaking Westerner and these helpful & friendly family.
