Went in to pick up my hubby’s suits. The lady is soooooo sweet! Hubby likes bringing his dry cleaning here and it’s not hard to see why. Suits look great!

I decided to try a new place, fairly close to my place instead if using my Pasadena or South Pas usual. I dry cleaned 4 pairs of pants here. 2 pairs shrunk and the other 2 have that awful musty moldy smell. I smelled my pants the entire day at work. It was awful. I will not be coming back.

I use to go to crown cleaners down the street but they kept losing my clothes or they just wouldn’t be ready when they were suppose to be. I tried «The Cleaning Place» and I was instantly happy I made the switch. The old Korean woman is really nice and she even taught me gamsahabnida which translates to thank you. Their prices are decent, but their service is great and on time. You should really give this place a try. GAMSAHABNIDA!!!

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a good deal. I’ve been putting off hemming my jeans for months. And when I saw the $ 5 sign, I knew I had to get my pants fixed!
Grace was very helpful. She gave me her opinion on the length of my jeans as I tried it on in the makeshift dressing room.
After I picked up my jeans: The jeans were hemmed to the correct length. Also they were just regular hem, not original hem. (But that didn’t matter much to me since both jeans were brand new.) There was a little bit of error facing the inside of the pants where the thread overlapped (refer to photo).
I also dropped off a heavy jacket with a hoof (had the fuzzy fur action going on around the rim) for dry cleaning. The cost for that was $ 9.

I love this place. The owner knows everyone’s names after the first two times you go. I say this from experience, and the fact that she recognizes me with glasses and without is a crazy skill. She knows my boyfriend too, because he starting brining his clothes here years before I did. She’s super friendly, does a great job, doesn’t judge when your clothes look like they went through a tornado, also does tailoring, hemming, and cleaning/​washing. all purpose place to get all your clothes-​related errands done!

Only have your pants hemmed here if you don’t care whether one leg is shorter than the other!
Not only did the owner refuse to acknowledge this (you could clearly see one leg was about one centimeter longer than the other and you could REALLY tell when I tried them on) she got angry that I would expect her to fix it!
I guess you get what you pay for. She advertised $ 5 for pants hemming, but trust me… it isn’t a bargain at any price!

The Cleaning Place is located next to Sam’s Barbershop in Alhambra. It is on the corner of El Molino and East Main Street. I’ve been here a couple of times and they’ve done a great job. I’ve taken patches to be sewn on Hapkido uniforms. I took a pair of jeans here today to be hemmed for a whopping 5 bucks! My jeans will be ready by tomorrow. I also took my two suit jackets to have the sleeves brought in. Overall their service is not bad and they do a great job.
They accept cash and Credit Card. If you’re paying by credit card your service has to be more than $ 10.
You can park in the parking lot, but there are no marked spaces so make your own space. They also clean rugs and are a dry cleaning business too. Take the stuff that needs to be dry cleaned here.
The lady is nice and she’s willing to help you out!
