Love their strawberry lemonade and they have plenty choices of Taiwanese desert. Not the good place for non-smoking peoppe.

My experience at this location is always average. Food is as expected but service is always below average. Yes, how can a small«to-go» shop give me such bad impression I have no idea. But today’s experience is especially bad and I will not go back again. I ordered a aloe vera osmanthus green tea but all I tasted was only sweet green tea. I asked if she added the flower inside, she replied if was supposed to be syrup so I wouldnt be able to see it. So i left the shop but I was wondering why the aloe taste funny, it is sour! I remember having this drink at another Phoenix but it tasted much better. Until I almost arrived 60 fwy, I realized the aloe vera meat was actually spoiled! There was one piece tasted so bad, sour with a spoiled taste! I don’t know how long it has been sitting in their fridge or maybe the storage temperature wasnt right. I threw out the drink immediately. This place is so over priced with no food quality standard. One time i ordered black and white tofu and pudding, the tofu was sour! I was told when cold and hot food put together, the tofu turns sour, which is a lie! Tofu cannot turn sour within minutes. Tofu turns sour when you

I often come to Phoenix Dessert after dinner or late at night just to grab me some of their Durian Mochi Rolls! I love durian. Some people say it stinks or it tastes bad but hey, it smells sweet to me and it tastes delicious to me as well! If you’re like me and you’re on vacation, you can buy several and ask them for ice. They will bag up some ice for you to keep the mochi rolls chilled! We’ve also tried their mango mochi rolls and they were okay. They weren’t as good as the durian but that was probably because the mango wasn’t as ripe. I would often get their herbal jelly with the syrup. The herbal jelly is suppose to help cleanse your body of «hot air.» Since I eat a lot of fried foods or junk foods, my body naturally has a lot of «hot air» hahahaha! They have plenty of other Chinese desserts which is really cool. We don’t really have a good Chinese dessert place in Vegas so when we want some, we’ll eventually get it here at Phoenix when we are on vacation! The prices of everything aren’t too bad either. I think they do have a minimum of $ 10 before you are able to use your credit card. Keep an open mind and try everything!

Phoenix never disappoints. Always made with quality & beauty. Taste always pleases and I am addicted. I love coming here for their Durian Mochi Roll desserts. Durian is my thing! Not many places carry it so I am always delighted for it’s easy accessibility from Phoenix.

My friend wanted some Hong Kong Tea. I did a quick Unilocal search and Phoenix Dessert pops up with high ratings. So glad I found this place. All kinds of dessert and drinks, including Hong Kong tea. Never had it before, but I will definitely have it again. The staff is really nice and they have a few places to sit. Seems that most people take theirs to go. Lots of people must have called in because they’d come in and leave with a bag of goodies that were already waiting for them. The quality of the desserts and drinks is a big yes! Really nice staff too! One of the best finds in a long time.

After a fine meal of hainan chicken and smoked duck pizza at Savoy Kitchen just a few steps away on the corner, Jamie W. and I were in the mood for something sweet before heading back to our hotel. We had never been to this part of L.A. before and were dumbstruck by the number of Chinese restaurants on this stretch of Valley Blvd. I can see why Asian families would spend a week eating their way through them. Now we could have had he crème brûlée at Savoy, their only dessert, but I knew there would be a sweets shop within hollering distance, and I was right(photo: ). Much to Jamie’s chagrin, I felt I hit the jackpot with Phoenix because they appear to specialize in custards, which are my not-so-secret guilty pleasure when it comes to dessert. I’m a caramel flan guy. I was also the kid who chose custard pie in the grade school cafeteria, the one where they sprinkled nutmeg on top. So imagine my giddy thrill at seeing all those packages of custard squares in the display case as well as other sweet and savory treats(photo: ). I decided I needed not one but two of the four-pack Custard Platters for $ 4.35 each. The first was an all-Cappuccino platter with coffee mixed in with coconut and condensed milk(photo: ). That turned out to be a bit more satisfying than the Variety Pack that included not only Cappuccino but an Almond Milk, a Sweet Pea & Purple Yam combination and a Mango, all with a filling of sweetened red beans(photo: ). I didn’t kick them out of bed but the Cappuccino was my favorite by far. Jamie refused the custard and went for the $ 3.95 Macau Tiramisu(photo: ). I’m not sure what tiramisu has to do with Macau, but it was creamy and decadent enough to satisfy any Macanese. The place gets pretty crowded and the older female customers get mighty territorial, but I can get all Ouisa and Clairee on them ’cause nobody’s gonna touch my Cappuccino custard square. Nobody. DESSERT — 4 stars… satisfying treats for all kinds of sweet tooths AMBIANCE — 2.5 stars… a bit like rush hour traffic in a small bakery set-up, thank goodness for the outside tables SERVICE — 2.5 stars… not particularly friendly or helpful to be frank TOTAL — 4 stars… point at the custard you want and just shove that old woman out the door
