I sure love me some Bún bò Hu! The menu is simple and straightforward. It’s a limited menu but does what I like right. I only get the Bún bò Hu here since it’s one of my fave Viet noodles. Plus, you should order the café sua da; but, the passion fruit green tea is great if you wanted something more fruity(comes with refills). The noodles came in regular and large sizes; my friend and I both chose the large since that was our meal for the day. The broth was rich and dark with tons of flavor. I usually don’t get it with the pig blood cubes but, I ordered it this time. It tasted just like tofu that soaked up all the flavors of the broth. The noodles were thick and chewy plus tons of condiments that complemented the meal. I always squeeze lots of lime over the soup for even more flavor. It was my friend’s first time having this and he sure liked it! The service was quick and welcoming; the servers were very nice and sweet. She made sure my passion fruit tea was always topped off! Great place for good eats!

Bun Bo Hue! The broth is UNBELIEVABLE! I love the small space and menu, keeps everything simple. Fresh ingredients you can taste for sure. Fast service with a smile. Highly recommended. I’ll be back soon.

Damn this place is legit! I don’t review much but I was compelled to after that bun bo hue. Authentic Vietnamese flavors and high quality meat. The blood cubes were delish! Don’t be scared and try it. Glad I found this place.

bun Bo hue is always on point I compare others to this the broth is very clean good flavor. it didn’t feel spicy at first, but by the time I was done, I was blowing my nose ask for the satay for a dipping sauce that compliments the soup~ I’m glad there are multiple locations scattered across the 626 because it does get packed

Been here a few times and it has been great. I usually opt for the Bun Rieu(crabmeat w/tomato) but last time I ordered a brisket phở. There has never been a wait even though the place is fairly small. I also love their passion fruit iced tea(free refills) which I order every time. If Golden Deli is too busy, make the 5-minute drive west to try this place out!

Good spot for hue food! Pro– staff is friendly and take out is quick, and easy! Best picks are bun Bo hue and bun rieu, good for the no red meat eaters! Price is reasonable and they package the take out food appropriately unlike other Viet joints. Parking is easier in the back and there’s a chase bank across the street. Con– cash only!

A couple of friends and I decided to come here for dinner as one of them was craving phở and found this place on Unilocal. As we entered the restaurant, the place was completely empty, which confused us. Nevertheless, one of the employees greeted us with a smile and seated us right away. The restaurant is small and slightly compact, but it’s actually quite adorable with its bright interior. The menu is very small, which is great because it leaves little room for dissatisfaction in figuring out what to get. I ordered a regular phở. The broth was quite flavorful and plus side, you’re given an ample amount of beef and noodles and soup. So win win win! :) Oh my goodness, the regular is actually a pretty huge size, too. The bowl of phở left me leaving the restaurant happily full. Will definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Newly found comfort«phở» on Main. The place is compact and well decorated. Unlike many other local Vietnamese places, this one is relatively modern, fusion, and cozy, well catered to the local young Asian crowd. The menu is extremely simple, a one-page…which makes decision easy and quick. I’ve had the phở noodle bowl with beef every time I was here. Decent quality, fair prices, attentive staff. There’s no reason not to make it a regular spot for me. Plenty of street parking around the block. Recommended!

Craving something soupy like Phở on a very chilly night but anticipating a long line at Golden Deli, so we chose to go to Nha Trang. This restaurant was highly recommended by a close friend, and it’s been on our list of restaurants to try. Very satisfied and we will definitely be back! We ordered three items for dinner: Bun Bo Hue(Spicy Beef Noodle), Bun Rieu(Crabmeat Tomato Soup with Vermicelli Noodle), and Fried Egg Rolls. Loved the broth of both the Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu. The two were perfect soups for a very cold night. I felt comforted as I slurped the broths. Out of the two, I think I will order the Bun Rieu more often than the Bun Bo Hue. I’m not a fan of the Bun Rieu at Golden Deli since I feel it’s too acidic. The Bun Rieu at Nha Trang had a perfect combination of crab and tomato flavor, reminding me a little bit of good Saimin. I might order the Bun Bo Hue from time to time, but it was also very satisfying and featured a complex flavor like the Bun Rieu. I’ve had Bun Bo Hue at Summer Rolls in Rosemead, and the Bun Bo Hue at Nha Trang had a much better combination of spiciness and beefy flavor. I liked the beef strips as well as the pigs foot, but did not finish all the blood cubes in the soup. Also ordered a rice dish to go. Will have to update my review a little later after I try the Pork Chop with Rice. I ordered this to go for lunch the next day. Looking forward to my lunch! Bill came to $ 35 without tip. Pretty reasonable since this included two regular sized soups($ 7.50 each), a side of egg rolls($ 6.00), pork chop with rice to go($ 8.00), passion fruit ice tea($ 2.50), and oolong hot tea($ 0.50). Unlike Golden Deli, there was no wait at all for dinner. There were plenty of seats available. Also, although they advertise that they have parking available behind the restaurant, there was plenty of street parking at the curb at the front of the restaurant.

My boyfriend first introduced me to bun bo hue, and I instantly fell in love with the dish. My boyfriend lives in the OC, Westminster specifically, the mecca of the best Vietnamese cuisine. I live in LA, so I asked my Vietnamese friends where the best place to get bun bo hue in LA. I knew SGV would have plenty of places to choose from. A few of my friends suggested Summer Rolls, Golden Deli, and Nha Trang. I decided to go to Nha Trang, because the others close early. I went with my sister on Black Friday, so the restaurant was slow. I ordered the large bowl of bun bo hue, and it didn’t disappoint. The broth was full of flavor, but it wasn’t spicy enough, so I asked for an extra side of spices. There was plenty of pig feet, flank, and coagulated blood. My boyfriend usually eats the blood, but I decided to try it this time. It wasn’t bad. My sister shared with me and she loved it too. I will definitely come back for more.

Being one of the few restaurants opened on Thanksgiving Day, Nha Trang did not disappoint! Must try! Nha Trang is a small noodle house on Main Street that deserves your full attention. The menu is simple and conveniently serves as a placemat. As of Nov 2015, the price is $ 7.50 for a regular bowl of noodle and $ 8.50 for large. Some of the older photos have outdated price. 1. Bun Bo Hue(Spicy Beef Noodle) — like many others, I never have even heard of this dish before but boy, is it delicious! The comfy soup goes down really smooth and didn’t make me super thirsty like other MSG filled soups. Supposedly there is coagulated pig blood… I only found one block and it was tiny. But I guess if you can’t handle that sort of stuff, you can kindly ask them to not put any in. 2. Phở Tai — The phở here is good but not dramatically better than other ones you can get for $ 5.99 at other stores. Tra da dac biet(Passion fruit ice tea) $ 2.50 with free refill — this was really good! It’s refreshing and not overly sweet. The only downside was when we got the refill, it was too water down. I hope it’s more consistent in the future. Tra Thai(Thai iced tea) $ 2.50 — this was on the sweeter side and I don’t think I’d care to get it again. We had issues with slow service but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt since we did attend on Thanksgiving day and the restaurant was jammed pack. They had some special guests I think because that table received excellent attention and speedy service. Other than that, the waiter/waitress were super friendly. Like the menu stress, there’s 2 hour free parking in the back… honestly though, I wonder if anyone is actually checking how long your car is in those parking lots located on Main St. Nha Trang Noodle House may be easily missed among all the restaurants on Main Street but it’s definitely worth a try for its unique Bun Bo Hue spicy noodle soup!

I come here because it’s convenient to walk here when I’m too lazy to drive. — Hainan chicken: My friend and I didn’t like this dish. I just don’t seem to like Vietnamese style hainan chicken(I’ve tried the one from Dong Nguyen and didn’t like it either). The chicken was not juicy or flavorful. The rice(they use broken rice) was bland compared to Green Zone or Savoy) — Bun rieu: This noodle soup was ok. I’d order it again if it was craving it but it wasn’t great. This one uses flat tofu instead of the thicker, puffy ones common at other restaurants. They also don’t use the traditional egg/crab mixture. The crab flavoring is in a pork meatball. I prefer the egg/crab mixture. Also, it doesn’t look like the tomatoes were cooked in the soup. They looked dropped in before serving. — Spring roll: It was ok. I prefer the ones from Banh Mi Che Cali because it doesn’t have pork(I get all shrimp) and has the crunchy roll in the middle. I felt that this one needed the dipping sauce while the Che Cali one doesn’t need sauce.

Location/atmosphere: This is a cute little restaurant located right on Main Street. There is parking on the street in front of the restaurant or 2hr parking behind the restaurant. The place is very clean and pretty modern looking. Service: Service is excellent here. The staff is very friendly. They speak good English and they are very patient. The food comes out pretty quick making it a good place for a quick lunch. Food: I ordered the Bun Rieu. It was just okay. It was a bit on the bland side. For those that aren’t familiar with bun rieu, it is a tomato based broth with has crab meat and tofu. I personally like the noodles to be a little thicker. The noodles they have are on the thinner side. It was thicker than vermicelli but thinner than the bun bo hue noodles. The crab balls were a little too fishy for me, so if you’re not into seafood this might not be a good choice for you. After I added some fish sauce to the soup(which I rarely do), it tasted a whole lot better! They also have unlimited refills on their passion iced tea. This iced tea is so thirst quenching! It is sweetened, but it had the perfect amount of sugar! I’ll be back here again just because it is decent enough to satisfy my bun rieu craving and it is super close to my house!

Always a good bowl of phở here! PARKING There’s a small lot in the back. Check the signs or risk a parking ticket — some spots require parking permit. INTERIOR/EXTERIOR Modern interior inside — it’s not a particular large restaurant, but they get you situated pretty quick! We never waited long for a table despite having a larger party sometimes. As far as the dining area goes, this place is clean! MENU I suppose you can say that they have limited options. I always go for the Phở, especially on a cooler day like today. They have two sizes — regular and large. The regular always fills me up. I love their soup broth and the beef pieces! Unfortunately, there is never enough beef pieces to match my noodle portion. I would recommend their Vermicelli with Egg Rolls if you are looking for a non-soup option. You can also order egg rolls on the side if preferred — but we always have a hard time finishing when we order an appetizer. My friends like their Spicy Beef Noodle Soup as well. In terms of drink, the boyfriend and I really like their Passion Fruit House Tea. Sometimes it is a little watered down and they give you so much ice, but the good thing is that it comes with unlimited refills and someone is bound to come by your table and refill it for you before you ask. SERVICE I think their service is impeccable. The workers show you respect and give you possibly the best service they can. They are nice and efficient. Our egg rolls came out a little slow, but the waiter working made sure to let us know that they were coming and it is taking a little longer because they are making it fresh.

Free parking in the back, or if your lucky you can park in front of the restaurant. The place is a decent size and very casual. Love the decorated. The menu is simply about 10 dishes or so. Since I expected the menu to be short, I have high expectation for the dishes to taste good or even better. To mind surprise… It was okay… At least the place was clean. The servicer were in casual clothes, felt really unprofessional. I ordered the Bun Rieu. The soup lacked flavor, too water down. The crab meatball had a lot of flavor, which I liked. My boyfriend ordered the bun bo hue, which he thought it was good. Must spend over $ 20 to use credit/debit card. Overall, an okay place.

This place is so clean! hahaha and the gentleman that greeted us at the door was so friendly! I’m honestly not so familiar with the area and I was craving bun bo hue…(I can never say it right so I’d rather write about it) my friend recommended this place so I decided to meet him here. To me… Arcadia, SGV, Monterey Park… etc seem to be bunched up in one area honestly… but they beg to differ so okay. whatever hahaha My friend told me this was the one place to have bun bo hue, I’ve usually had bun bo hue in OC so anything near LA was okay for me. I haven’t had any in LA … because I’m afraid to be adventurous… and plus the one place that’s well known for bun bo hue is all the way in china town… which is actually really close but seems so far hahaha Of course I ordered the Bun bo hue and their house iced tea… there was no description… it just said house iced tea with refill(SOLD) hahaha The bun bo hue came out… I took so long taking pictures … instagramming it got cold… :(I need to take faster pictures hahahahah but the vegetables were fresh and I LOVE how the broth was overwhelmingly spicy. Some places just over do it with the spice and tastes like i’m drinking chili oil but this place had a very clean taste. If more korean people know about bun bo hue a lot of them will be visiting this place. It definitely had the taste that’ll attract koreans hahaaha Their ice tea was awesome, it was sweet but bitter and really the refill … LOVEDIT ! My friend did make fun of me that I don’t eat the blood squares… which is the main point of bun bo hue… SOWHAT ! hahahaha … yeah but I don’t eat it… he tried to show me a way to eat it so it doesn’t smell too bad but no… at least he tried. hahaha There are multiple locations so give this place a try I’m definitely gonna come back for the bun rieu heehehe :)
